----------- Set early on in the Red, White and Bruised Card-----------
The scene opens with a close-up shot of Charlie Coors, his head and torso taking up most of the screen. Behind his awkwardly smiling face, one can make out the GHW "Red, White and Bruised" banner behind him that is draped across the otherwise plain looking backdrop. A simple black curtain. Soft lighting fills the room from the floor, where a light has been set up off screen. It floods mainly the right hand side of Charlie's face as he begins to make his address.
~~Charlie Coors~~
Ladies and gentlemen, please greet my guest tonight.
He is the man who will be challenging for the King of the Deathmatch Championship later on tonight... Hayden HardKore.

As the camera zooms out, it reveals the figure standing next to him, smiling his trademark cheesy smile at the camera. Hayden looks cool, calm and collected considering his match later on tonight and the predicament he is in with the Psychotic Circus. Charlie waits for the cheering of the crowd to die down somewhat before continuing with his interview of the Deathmatch legend. Hayden turns slightly to face Charlie, while keeping his body facing the camera and the crowd as the interviewer plows right on into his first question.
~~Charlie Coors~~
Hayden.
You've been quietly chipping away at this dream of yours for the past few months, but at the same time have managed to ruffle a few feathers, particularly of those in the Circus...
Hayden.

Charlie trails off, expecting the Jackass to pick up on his implied question. Hayden simply stands, waiting for the goofy looking Coors to finish his sentence. After a few moments of uncomfortable silence, Hayden chimes in and rescues the quickly sinking Charlie Coors.
~~Hayden HardKore~~
Oh, was that a question Charlie? I was waiting for you to finish.
Well, you call it a dream, and I suppose it is.
The King of the Deathmatch Championship. Once, it was reveled as the highest accolade in this business, a higher achievement than the New Age Championship even. But sadly, the gold has faded, the glimmer gone. Look at the champions over the past two years, only a handful would even be a blip on the radar.
No Vladmir Strifes, no Matt Olivieras, no Metal Dragons... And no Hayden HardKore.
You see, the dream is not winning the championship Charlie, no no. That is my reality, I'm the rightful champion, the title will be mine. The dream is restoring it to its former glory. As for the Circus, that is exactly what they are. A bunch of clowns and comic relief.
I'm not going to let a sideshow steal the limelight away from those who deserve to be in it.

Hayden nods as he finishes, leaving the warning lingering in the air like a bad smell in an elevator. Charlie cuts through the tension with a secondary question, following on from his first.
~~Charlie Coors~~
But even so Hayden, you're dreadfully outnumbered here.
You are well familiar with the saying, "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread", aren't you?
Don't you think you're being just a little foolish here?

Hayden turns to face Charlie fully this time, his smile turning to a menacing look on his face. Not being one to take insults from those who have no stake insulting him, Hayden stares down at the interviewer, who backs off in turn apologetically.
~~Hayden HardKore~~
Danger Charlie Coors, danger. I don't take too kindly to people like yourself calling me a fool.
I know full well what I'm getting myself into. Do you think that I got to where I am today by running away from a fight when the going gets tough? Hell no, I'll always do what you least expect. The numbers game just makes me want to run into the fight harder, and that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Charlie smiles at Hayden's answer, chuckling to himself and shaking his head slightly at the delusion that Hayden is talking through. It is not until he catches the look on Hayden's face that he stops, clearing his throat awkwardly and rushing into the next question before Hayden has a chance to act on his steadily decreasing patience.
~~Charlie Coors~~
Ahem...
Well, you hardly expect them to play fair do you?
You're just one man. The circus, well, they are... more than one man, and a few ladies too!
Ahem...

This time it is Hayden's turn to smile, turning away from Charlie as he does so. He chuckles to himself before answering Charlies sub-par questioning.
~~Hayden HardKore~~
Wow, your powers of observation are staggering Charlie Coors.
Like I said before, I know I'm outgunned and outnumbered. I know that this pack of fools doesn't play fair.
Hell, I'd be offended if they didn't try something tonight. I'm ready for anything they could throw at me. Like I said, the numbers don't scare me. I'm not expecting a One-on-One fight, and like such, I haven't prepared for one.

Charlie looks puzzled for a few seconds, the silence from the interviewer once again creating an awkward air between the men, like a joke in bad taste that doesn't go down well with its audience. Desperately trying to figure out what Hayden is saying in his head, Charlie probes further.
~~Charlie Coors~~
So, you're saying that you have something in store for the circus tonight, should they choose to show up tonight?
So, you're saying that you have something in store for the circus tonight, should they choose to show up tonight?
Hayden claps his hands together slowly, as if to congratulate Charlie at his mental prowess. The smile returns to his face, behind a twinkling of his eye as he answers the question.
~~Hayden HardKore~~
And your powers of deduction match your powers of observation there Charlie.
You don't think that I would really rush into a one on six or more fight without some type of plan do you. I'm not foolish you know.
I may be outgunned and out-manned... But I will not be outplayed Charlie. I've been playing this game for a long time, so don't you worry your little brain about the circus. I have those clowns under control.
Tonight, one way or another, it is going to come down to mano-e-mano, Man on Man. We will find out who deserves to be the King of the Deathmatch, NOT who has the biggest army at their disposal.

Charlie smiles at Hayden, nodding toward him as if to persuade him to let him in on his secret. When Hayden does not pick up on the hint, Charlie opens his gob to speak once again.
~~Charlie Coors~~
So?
Can you give us a clue as to what or who you have in mind?
So?
Can you give us a clue as to what or who you have in mind?
The question doesn't faze Hayden. The Jackass had seen it coming a mile away, and he rolls straight into an answer that he had already begun forming in his mind. Slowly, he reaches up and pats Charlie Coors on the cheek.
~~Hayden HardKore~~
Oh, Charlie boy, that would spoil the secret now wouldn't it. But I will say this, I do not, have not and will not ever let people fight my battles for me.
I will be standing at the end of the night, and I will walk out of Red, White and Bruised as the King of the Deathmatch, stepping over the broken bodies of the Psychotic Circus as I do so.
Charlie, this is my night, the night that Hayden HardKore retakes his throne!

With that, Hayden turns and walks off, stage right, whistling along to "Home, home on the range" as he does so, the happy sound signaling his ease of mind at his situation. He leaves Charlie Coors standing in front of the same backdrop as before, shrugging his shoulders, none the wiser.
~~Charlie Coors~~
Well, I guess we will just have to wait and find out. One thing is for sure though, Hayden is not scared by the imposing threat of the Psychotic Circus. Genius or fool, I guess we will know by the end of the night.
