Perhaps we should just skip posting entrances in our matches. They really don't do so much for the actual RP and there are a lot of posts as simple as "___ enters the ring. ((Will edit later))" that are never edited because it doesn't really matter anyway. Also, it seems as though sometimes people are just judged by how long their rp is instead of the overall quality. So, with this, I suggest to make a max word count of roughly 1000-1200 words. There will be more posts and probably a better match flow. Plus, people won't just try to out duel each other on post length.
Just two ideas I think will benefit the fed. I'm not saying DO IT DO IT DO IT, so much as.. it'd be pretty baller if you did. At least I think.
So yeah (:

There are (is) quite a few people who sometimes include promos during their entrance post. Eliminating entrances completely would force those select people to make separate topics for short and sweet promos on mic time. There's a simpler solution to no-shows and procrastination when it comes to match-writing, but I'd rather not suggest it here.
On each card there are suggested character limits, but aren't strictly enforced. During the NeXuS deathmatch, the word/character count is more enforced and influential. More often than not, stretching match posts is a shot in the foot for your chances to win a match. Too many times a Fighty fighty person will just try to look like he has more content, when it's just stale and meaningless rambling. Some Fighty fighty persons like to do monster paragraphs for in-depth description. Some people manage to get the same description and flow in shorter paragraphs.
I realize it seems like the judges always pick the winner whose post is lengthiest, but that's only a popular myth.

Well, like I said.. those were just a couple things I thought would help out. I see and understand your points though.

Without entrances the coolness of matches die by 35%! ENTRANCE POST! DO THE POST!

Entrances need to stay. Just because a small (annoying) minority simply put "________ enters, TBC", doesn't mean we should restrict the guys and gals here who want to put something fresh and creative out to boost a story or hype their character. I know when I was in charge of booking, one of the things I looked for in a good worker was their entrances (aside from match quality of course), because they showed an eagerness to keep tweaking their style and improving, wanting to push on to the upper echelons. Entrances stay.
As for the length limit, there is a light ruling on length for weekly shows, but with the guys who are judging now I have yet to see a winner based on pure length in their posts. It's only really NeXuS where length is properly enforced though.
Which reminds me: seeing as I don't book anymore, I can participate in NeXuS! Two on the trot baby!

I like entrances and honestly they should be judged with the rest of the match. After all the entrances set the tone for the match. I do not know about the rest of you guys but back in the day when WWE had their weekly squash match sessions I hated wrestling. To see this known talent have an entrance to the ring to meet some unknown talent was a mood kill for the entire thing. Now imagine if they just simply did no entrances. The crowd would never get hyped and no Pops would happen. Wrestling would die. Save the Cheerleader Save the world... I mean Save the Entrances cause they matter.
PS - Damn Cheerleader Melissa looks SEXAY in my banner. Thanks again Tripp

I agree with Kahlan, but to more of an extreme. Without entrances I cannot get into the match at all. So its almost like, why bother posting? And Troy has a point, if people do not want to do entrances cause they "dont matter" then make them matter. Maybe not a huge tip in the scale of who will win but maybe a factor. Like do 10% of final score is your entrance. That way those slackers that do nothing for an entrance have to make it up to you with an blow your mind out of the water post to make up for their laziness. Meh just my Two cents.

For further info refer to one called Metal Dragon on learning how to write an entrance. Entrance wise MD = the greatest I've seen to date.

Or just start a promo and sometimes he will randomly bust in on it. That is if finding the button with his name to PM him is too hard... JUST SAYING! But /agreed Kahlan MD is KOTE (King of the entrances) he also makes a good cup of coffee from what I hear. Oh that Kahlan girl is not that bad at them either, but of coarse it does take her 6 days up post for a match you had to see that one coming Kahlan, your awesome but you almost missed deadline.
