GHW.com has received a transcript from an interview done for the Huffington Post featuring Robert "The Proeliator" Hancock that was conducted Sunday night. It was sent in by Ben Newton
Well I've happen to run into none other than Robert Hancock here at Saints in Overland Park and he has been more than gracious to give us an interview. Thank you for your time.
Not a problem.
So what have you been up to for the past few years? We haven't seen you around very much.
Well, to be quite honest I've been furthering my martial arts and mixed martial arts career.
Mixed martial arts?
Well I did amateur and underground tournaments before GHW, and when I left that is the direction I returned. Have to put money on the table somehow.
Well how has that gone for you? Hasn't been much information in that respect.
Well, I've been involved in what is considered to be the underground of mma, non-sanctioned matches for cash.
How has that career path treated you?
Obviously not too well if I'm talking to yourself.
Interviewer gives uncomfortable laughSo besides the burgeoning mma career, what have you been occupying your time with? Have you kept up with any of your old colleagues in GHW?
I'm going to act like you aren't patronizing me about my very lucrative career kicking asses and move on to the second part of your question. In short, I've been traveling the world, seeing sights and developing my brand. I've been working closely with certain company developing product. In regards to GHW? Not really. I left the place to move on with my life and have successfully done so.
What about Metal Dragon? I thought you two were tight?
Browne and I get along fine. We didn't meet because of GHW though. He brought me in because he thought I could be a valuable asset to the company.
What would you say about your detractors, who say that you only gained your spot because of nepotism and then when you didn't get what you wanted handed to you, you took your ball and went home?
Who the fuck said that? I think anyone with a brain knows that I was a benefit and an addition to the company. Anyone who thought otherwise was blind. I left when the time was right for me to leave.
Any chance of you ever going back?
Never say never.
Other topics covered included his participation with team Deathclutch, his work as a stuntman for various movies, what he thinks about the state of pro wrestling in general and more.
