“DUN!
DUN-DUN-DUN!
DUN-DUN-DUN!
DUN-DUN-DUNNNNN!”
Kahlan, her ears plugged with headphones and her hair flowing behind jogs along in the corridor.
“RISEN UP! BACK ON THE STREET!
TOOK MY TIME, TOOK MY CHANCES
WENT THE DISTANCE NOW I’M BACK ON MY FEET-”
Suddenly Coors appears out of nowhere blocking her way with a grin and a microphone.
Coors: Kahlan?... What are you doing?
Kahlan, who as of now is breathing in and out unevenly rips her headphones out and smirks right back at Charlie.
“Why, preparing for match against Rocky, obviously.”
She suddenly proves her point further by letting loose a spree of quick jabs at an imaginary opponent somewhere to Charlie’s left.
“See? See?! You see this?”
She stops turning to Charlie again.
“Of course you couldn’t! I was too fast for you junior. I’ve been training hard since this morning for this match, now I flow like a butterfly and sting like a Bee, Rocky isn’t going to hit what he can’t see.”
Charlie is well taken aback by the enthusiasm and the energy flow coming out of the blue haired dynamo.
Coors: Well, didn’t you hear before? Our esteemed GM has added a third competitor to the mix.
“So? They’re all the same to me. All are a bunch of armatures. They think they see me coming but then they won’t and “POW!” I LAY IT TO THEM LIKE A BOSS!”
Coors: It’s the Gorilla.
“And then I’ll jump back up and lock in the Tea- … WHAT?! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!”
*BIG FACEPALM*
“Charlie give me your phone for a sec…”
Kahlan quickly starts to dial a number and brings the phone up.
“Hello… hey Sasquatch its Kahlan, how are you? What? I don’t understand? Oh, yea I get it now. Listen I need a favour… thing is I have a match tonight and I need a coach with your special extensive knowledge in dealing with giant furry monsters. … no its not Vladimir Strife! He is a giant in ALL of his compartments… ok, I’ll be seeing you soon then. BAI!”
Kahlan returns Coors’ phone and winks back at him.
“Dammitt Charlie, the news made me… um… wet. I need to go and dry up.”
Kahlan turns around and jogs back the way she came in her tight running gear leaving Charlie pondering silently.
