It's time. The biggest match of the calendar has arrived. You have been assigned a steel cell at random at the start of the show, and you now climb the steel steps that lead you into one of four rings which are placed side-by-side to form essentially a much larger square. Chain-link surrounds the standard ring you enter into, swiftly removing you from an atmosphere that, for the most part, you have never gotten accustomed to. This is The NeXuS...
You move to one of the corners, your back resting against the turnbuckles as you glance across the center of the ring to one of the competitors who've also signed their name on a dotted line a week previous -for the same goal you wish to achieve by the time the night ends. In the center of your ring sits two trash cans, inside of those is a various assortment of weaponry to aid you in your mission...and the trash cans themselves. Hopefully, the random street sign, hockey stick, or steel chair can help you over the next most life-changing ten minutes of your career...you think about why you're in here, and that's when you look up...
Above you, fifteen feet above the ring you stand in, is the cell roof. In one corner, above the turnbuckle to which all four rings meet is installed a trap door which is locked by remote. This door will not be unlocked until the time is up, and upon it's unlocking, only two of you can enter through it. How do you decide who stays and who advances? Simple, the same way you've solved it throughout your career.
And finally, you turn your attention to the rings next to you. One side is a cage the exact same as the one you stand in with three others. Across from that is another. Adjacent to that, another. Including you, there's twelve men amongst these four cages. If you're lucky, you'll get to fight seven of them off when the time comes...but for now, you face off with two of your own to handle. You find yourself spacing-out as you stare at the shine of one of the weapons, until the voice of Charlie Coors booms from the audio system -the hair on the back of your neck going on end as the few thousand in attendance begin to cheer. This could be the day.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN...IT IS TIME FOR THE 2010 NEXUS DEATHMATCH!"
An uproar of support rattles your eardrums...
"As per GHW ruling, Round One will commence at the start of the bell. In which the participants will fight until the doors situated in each cell roof will open. Four men, one from each cage, will be eliminated and eight will advance onto Round Two. There will be NO disqualifications. There will be NO countouts. Every cell door is locked, and there will be NO possibility of interference. G-H-W...LET THEM HEAR IT!"
Another cheer, you look out into the sea of fans...some of those signs are for you.
'ding, ding, ding!'

Each of the three men start in opposing corners of the cage, their eyes darting from one another almost paranoidly, sizing each other up and waiting for one of their opponents to make the first move. Ryan Hughes scans across the ring in not so quiet confidence, beaming a cocky smile at himself at the sight of his cell-mates. He looks over to the masked Mexican menacingly, but the "Masked Saint" is busy removing his crucifix necklace from his neck and does not meet his gaze. Santo kisses the cross quickly before feeding it through one of the cage holes to an official standing outside of the ring. When he looks up, Hughes had turned his attention to the third competitor, Johnny Enmity. The pair lock eyes, and all of the built up tension is released in their gaze. As if a giant switch had been turned on, both Hughes and Enmity barrel toward each other instinctively, fists clenched and ready for a fight.
Enmity swings the first show, taking a cheeky swing at the head of the "Batman", but Hughes ducks the strike and follows up with a shot of his own, driving his open palm into Johnny's throat, staggering the "New Hardcore Icon" and sending him teetering backward and into the side wall of the cage. Hughes flexes his wrist in victory, smirking at his hopeful opponent before continuing to swing a second shot at him. He does not have time to even ruffle the hair on Enmity's head, however, as the Mexican Mystery Man stops him short, hooking his own arm around Hughes' and stopping the strike short. Hughes spins around to see the cause of the interference and is met with the sole of Santo's boot to the cheek, sending the "Batmanite" spinning to the canvas.
:Colin "Fuzz" Jennings: Just as it looked like Ryan Hughes was ready to take control of the match, Santo breaks up the momentum...
:"Big" Al Mulligan: Sticking his pesky nose in where it doesn't belong again. Ryan Hughes is the clear favorite here tonight Fuzz, Santo Masceras might as well just roll over and let bygones be bygones.[/i]
Hughes had barely hit the canvas before he slammed his fists down in frustration and forced himself up again. Even in the early stages of the match, the effort of lifting himself to his feet brought a semblance of strain to his face. Santo watches out of the corner of his eye, while watching Enmity with the other. The New Hardcore Icon pushes himself off the cage wall and sizes up the miniature Mexican. In frustration, Ryan Hughes dashes off toward Santo as well, from the other side of Santo's shoulder. The "Mexican Saint" sees his opponents approaching from both sides, each with eyes full of evil intent. Thinking quickly, Santo drops to the canvas at the last second, dropping out of sight and range of the oncoming attacks. As a result, both Hughes and Enmity collide with each other, each taking the other out with a synchronized clothesline. Santo covers his head as both bodies crash to the mat on top of him, crawling out from beneath the wreckage a few moments later. After adjusting the mask on his face slightly, the Mexican shoots off across the ring, leaving Enmity and Hughes to untangle themselves from each other.
The pair do untangle themselves, amidst a chorus of groaning and frustrated grunts, the close proximity leading them to once again target each other and leave the pint sized "Masked Saint" out of the picture. Hughes is quick to grab at Enmity's wrist, yanking him across the ring towards an oncoming clothesline he had prepared for him, but the high flying Enmity slips under the swinging arm of the "Batman" and uses his own momentum to fling Ryan into the wall of the cage. Hughes crashes into the side of the cell with enough force to send shock-waves through the entire NeXuS structure, his face, shoulder and all four limbs colliding with the cage wall simultaneously before he collapses to the canvas once more. Enmity stops short of the cage wall himself and watches his handy-work, unaware of a third set of forgotten eyes on him from behind.
:"Big" Al Mulligan": Ryan Hughes really got his bell rung with that one, god, I could feel the impact from here!
:Colin "Fuzz" Jennings: that was 241 pounds of Batmanite meeting an unmovable steel wall. I guess the wall won this time round.
:"Big" Al Mulligan: And where was your pesky Mexican through all of this, skiving off in the corner and letting the other two do his fighting for him?[/i]
Indeed, Santo had kept a low profile of late, and it was this low profile that had allowed him to near the turnbuckle undetected. He had sprung himself onto the top turnbuckle while Johnny Enmity's back had been turned and was now biding his time for the perfect opportunity. Having watched the overzealous Hughes crash and burn against the wall of the cage, Santo knew it would only be a matter of time before Enmity had decoded his plan. Deciding to 'strike while the iron is hot', Masceras takes to the air, raining down a Missile Dropkick that catches the "New Hardcore Icon" in the back and sends him flopping forward onto the mat, while Santo lands harmlessly on his knees, his smile only hidden by the base of his mask.
With both of his opponents licking their wounds on the mat next to each other, Santo is free to choose his poison. He strides over to the groaning body of Ryan Hughes and lifts him up by the scruff of his neck. The 6'5'' man towers over the sprightly Mexican, but the size difference does not faze the feisty luchador. Santo whips Hughes' chin around an European Uppercut, driving his arm into the head of the dazed "Batman". The strike is quickly followed by the Mexican locking his opponent into a headlock, before directing Ryan toward the wall of the cage once more. This time, it is Santo who makes contact, running up the wall of the cage and flipping backwards to drive Ryan's head into the canvas with a Sliced Bread maneuver. Santo feels the momentum switch in his favor, the opportunity laid out before him. Thoughts flood his head of different ways to approach the next part of the match, the newcomer knowing already that the next few moments could already make or break the match for him.
:Colin "Fuzz" Jennings: El Sliced Bread-O! Santo the Mexican Saint shows his agility with an innovative use of the cage wall there Al.
:"Big" Al Mulligan: So far he has been lucky. But this match will test the little Jack-in-a-Box more than anything in his life. I just don't see the Masked Saint progressing past the first tier at NeXuS Fuzz. I'll even wager a six-pack on it.
:Colin "Fuzz" Jennings: That sounds like a deal to me! Make it a dozen if he takes the whole thing out and we have a deal...[/i]
Santo straightens the mask on his head once more as he surveys the scene, looking around for the next best course of action. He does not rush straight in like an amateur, coming at the situation instead with a cool head consistent with a seasoned ring veteran and showing a maturity beyond his experience so far in GHW. He looks to his left, spying the body of Ryan Hughes, hands holding the back of his head in pain, his brains threatening to pound their way out of the skull entirely. Santo then looks to the right, seeing Johnny Enmity forcing himself to a vertical base. Balling his fists, he locks his eyes onto his new target and readies for wave two.

Johnny thinks that he has Santo intimidated, and has a slight swagger about him as he crosses the ring- albeit unsteadily. As soon as there is barely a metre between the two combatants, the self proclaimed “New Hardcore Icon” sets into a run, cocking his right arm back as a further threat. Santo doesn't succumb to the intimidation though, and simply parries the blow, before connecting to Johnny's face with a right hook of his own. Enmity stumbles back, only stopped from freefall by the cage wall. The only problem with this is that he is now a sitting duck, unable to prevent a seemingly more experienced Masceras from continuing his onslaught. The Mexican Saint bombards the weakened Enmity with a series of right hands, driving down on his skull and almost hammering him through the ring. Johnny slumps to his side, a droplet of drool stretching from his mouth. Santo doesn't give the GHW newbie any rest though, pressing his boot against Enmity's head, literally squeezing it against the chain link of the cage wall.
“Cockiness gets you nowhere in the NeXuS Deathmatch, as Johnny has just found out.” “Neither does fan pandering, as this little border hopper is about to find out.”
Despite the hate in his voice, Big Al was right. Santo is oblivious to what is behind him as he concentrates on choking the life out of the rookie beneath him. Ryan Hughes is back on his feet, and rummaging quietly through the trash can in the center of the ring. After a moment of blind searching, Hughes pulls out a steel chair, which gets a cheer out of the fans, mainly because they paid to see blood and they do not care who it spills from. The Batman looks at the chair for a moment, hoping that this blue piece of folding metal will be the key to him getting back on top of the mountain. Directing his gaze to the Mexican in front of him, the two-time (or longest reigning, depending on how you judge history) GHW World Champion shouts to his counterpart “HOLA SANTO!”. Hearing his name, Santo's primal instinct is to turn around to face the questioner. Bad move. Ryan immediately raises his chair, swiping through the air and cracking the steel against the masked head of Masceras. The Mexican Saint falls to his knees, almost wanting the Bipolar Behemoth to hit him again...
*CRACK!*
“This is terrible!” “This is brilliant!”
*CRACK!* *CRACK!* *CRACK!*
Despite four more chair shots to the cranium, Santo remains on his knees, unmoving. Ryan pauses for a second, before dropping the chair and standing to Santo's side. Noticing that the Mexican's gaze doesn't follow the Mancunian, Ryan slowly ushers his hand towards the back of Santo's head, and gently nudges it. The Mexican slowly falls, much like the mighty Redwood would, face first on to the canvas. Ryan pumps his fist in to the air in triumph, only to receive a tirade of boos from the GHW fans in attendance. Ignoring the fans, Hughes looks up- the roof is still closed off. Muttering curse words under his breath, the ex champion heads towards the third man in this contest, Johnny Enmity. The New Hardcore Icon is still partly out of it, after receiving the throttling from Masceras. Despite this, Enmity soldiers on, pulling on the ropes to get back up to a vertical base. He doesn't have much time to smell the fresher air though, because he recieves a left hook from Hughes which rocks him, and he backtracks to the turnbuckle. Hughes follows, wanting to stay on top of his momentum.
“And Ryan takes Johnny out as he strolls through stage one.” “What? This isn't over- THIS ISN'T OVER YET! Johnny's fighting back!”
It was Colin's turn to be right for once, because Johnny Enmity ducked under Ryan's strike, and now holds the position of power as he rains the fists down upon the poor Englishman. As the two heels duke it out in the corner, the fans are torn on who to cheer for. The divide seems to be split pretty evenly, with half the crowd backing the Batman, and half backing Enmity. Enmity keeps the former champ in his place though, stunning the Chief Batmanite with a headbutt which forces Ryan into finding some sort of salvation by the turnbuckle. A sharp toe kick to the gut doesn't help matters either, as Ryan slumps down the padded rungs until he is sat on the canvas. Johnny shows signs of his growing experience though, not giving Ryan any time to rest. He props the Englishman up against the turnbuckle, before tracking back. Taking a deep breath, Enmity runs forward, leaping in to the air with arms outstretched, looking to put Ryan out of his misery in his descent. The Mancunian Mauler ducks out of the way of the attempted Stinger Splash, letting Johnny face collide with the top rung of the turnbuckle. Ryan sprints to the ropes, cannoning back towards a stunned and groggy Enmity, before raising his boot for what is universally known as-
“THE BFK2H! THE BIG FUCKING KICK TO THE HEAD! DID YOU SEE HOW FUCKING BIG THAT KICK WAS TO HIS HEAD?!” “Johnny is out of it here, but wait-”
Santo is back from his spate of unconsciousness, and he headed directly towards his tormentor, Ryan Hughes. After a swift kick to the midsection, Santo stands with his back to the Batman, before wrenching his right arm around Ryan's neck. Not wasting any time, Santo leaps like a salmon, flipping backwards over Ryan's head and causing the Batman to spike the back of his head on the dusty canvas.
“Standing Shiranui! Ryan isn't the only one with the big toys in his arsenal!” “But now Santo is down. The rush of blood has gone. He's just like Hughes and Enmity- out cold.”
All three men lay on their backs, panting heavily as they stare in to the shining lights from above. Vaguely, they can hear the deafening roar of the GHW faithful, cheering their respective favourite on in their quest to win NeXuS IV.

Johnny looks around he then notices a small section actually clapping their hands for him to get up. He still rocked from what happened earlier stays down but begins pounding his fists on the canvas almost as if regaining life again, until he crawls over to the ropes, but Ryan then gets on his knees and attempts to get up as he easily does, Ryan then looks on as Santo grabs the ropes and catapults himself back up as Ryan has a target lock on Johnny who is helping himself up with the ropes as Santo grabs Ryan's head with his arms pulling him back in a reverse DDT, as Johnny hanging on to the ropes gets up also runs to the ropes then makes it to the other side jumps up in the air and lands on the second rope and does a backflip landing his arms on Santo's head as they all fall down as Enmity hits a reverse DDT on Santo and The masked Saint hits a reverse DDT on the self proclaimed Batman. Johnny then goes reaches in his pants to reach for a weapon and pulls out a fork, he then walks over to Ryan grabs his head with his arm by wrapping it around his head and with the other arm begins stabbing Ryan with the fork as hard as possible, he even begins carving Ryan's flesh as the skin breaks and blood begins coming out of the head, Johnny then drops the fork and starts scratching with his pointy nails on Ryan's wounds and after he's done he sticks his face to Ryan's and then his mouth to Ryan's forhead and sticks his teeth out as he bites The Batman's wound after he's done it seems he has some blood in his mouth he makes a face with disgust as he then spits the blood into Ryan's face.
Oh dear God, I think I'm going to hurl, how could he do that, there are little kids watching this pay per view. That's just despicable.
Yeah, its a little nasty, but you gotta do, what you gotta do to win this match, and remember in the Nexus Deathmatch anything could happen
Johnny then gets up as Ryan is layed out on the floor as Santo stands and runs toward Johnny with his fist out to punch the evil man in the face which he does taking away Enmity's momentum. Santo begins facing the audience as Johnny then looks in the trash can from earlier and pulls out a kendo stick he then on his knees places it between Santo's legs and pulls up hitting him with a low blow. Johnny then realizes both men are down he drops the kendo stick crawls over to the ropes goes under and out then toward the cage. He gets himself up by grabbing the cage and getting up he then finds some strength and climbs the cage placing hands and feet he begins crawling as the some fans wonder what he's trying to do, he then makes it to the top of the chain link but it is closed as he then looks back and sees Santo still in pain and he jumps down and falls like a rock it happens a little too fast for the fans as Enmity collides with the Saint and slams down hard on him. As the fans go crazy and even start chanting GHW but it seems the collision has hurt both Enmity and Mascaras as Johnny heads back and grabs his stomach as Santo does the same. Johnny then rolls on the floor in pain as the fans then chant That was awesome but all three men seem to be out of it as a bloodied Ryan then raises his torso up puts his hands on the floor and helps himself up. He then looks around to find the steel chair from earlier and waits for Enmity to get up as he then begins smacking the chair on the floor signaling a chair shot to the head for Johnny.
Now that had to hurt, I don't know if anyone remembers but back in TWF Johnny had suffered some head injuries so Ryan might have found a weak spot
Well looks like mr. I hate Johnny Enmity has actually been doing some history on the guy, aren't you obsessed with someone you claim to dislike.
As Johnny then gets up Ryan then hits him in the head with a chair shot heard allover the arena as Johnny falls back to the floor as Johnny falls down it seems a gash is shown on his head with a really deep wound from the shot and the blood begins pouring. As Ryan then places the chair under Johnny's head, but turns him around so he is face down, then he looks in the trash can from earlier and pulls out a chair to then walk over to him and lift the chair up and slam down on Enmity's head as hard as possible as another crack is heard all through out the arena. As he then heads over to the Saint and attempts to rip off his mask in a dispicable act as he fights with the Masked one he keeps trying to yank off the mask off of his head, but Santo keeps fighting by pulling down on the mask so it doesn't come off. Ryan then lifts his right hand up forms a fist and begins punching away on Santo as hard as possible to then get off of him and grab the trash can. To empty it lift it up and await the Saint, Ryan has a desperate look on his face as Santo then grabbing the ropes helps himself up, the luchador then crouches to jump up in the air stick his legs out and kick the trash can to Ryan's already bloodied face as Ryan falls back with the trash can on top of him. Santo then goes to the corner to get up the ropes and is on the top his back facing Ryan, he then jumps off and does a backflip landing a moonsault on his opponent while also hitting the trash can.
Ay Dios Mio, it looks the Santo is risking his life, in this Nexus Deathmatch by landing on the Englishman and taking him out.
Don't you worry, I'm pretty sure Ryan or Enmity will make it back in this match sooner or later and one of them will be victorious.
As Santo then faces his attention to Enmity to then help him up by grabbing his bloodied hair as he gets up Santo then jumps up in the air and tucks his knees in to then throw them out into Johnny's chin hitting a hard drop sault as Johnny falls back Santo does a backflip lands on his chest then gets up, more pumped up than ever. Santo then helps Johnny kicks him in the stomach and puts his head under his arm while putting the Icon's arm behind his head and then lifts him up to slam him hard with a suplex, to then get up and hit another suplex, as the fans say 2, then does same as before and hits another the fans say 3, then one more 4, and then he goes for a last one this time a snap suplex as Johnny lands hard, Santo gets up to then look in the weapons that were spread out from the trash can and he grabs a kendo stick. And then slams Johnny in the stomach as the noise is heard throughout the arena Enmity turns on his stomach as Santo then looks on to Ryan who is just getting his torso up, but before he can even make it to his feet Santo smacks the kendo stick over his head as it snaps forward then back from that shot. Santo seems to be really pumped up as he then looks around the pile of weapons to grab a crutch from a pair of crotches to then go over Enmity who is still on his stomach back out still hurt from the earlier shot and Santo then lifts the weapon up and then down to hit Enmity as hard as possible in his break which in the process breaks the crutch in half.
Ow, that really had to hurt, especially if the crutch happened to break in half. These three men are killing each other in this match.
Well that's the point of a deathmatch, to really injure your opponent. Otherwise they wouldn't call it a deathmatch and that's for sure.
Santo goes in a frenzy after that shot to then get on the ropes and hold the broken crutch as the fans chant Santo Ryan manages to get up by holding the ropes he looks at Santo and gets ready to strike. By the time Santo turns around Ryan runs toward him and then crouches down a bit and hits him with his shoulders landing a spear. As Johnny crawls on the floor he looks around and then tries to make it back to his feet, but instead he gets himself up sitting on the canvas. Ryan then tries to go over to him as Johnny then puts his hand in his pants as if desperately looking for something Ryan makes it over to grab Johnny by his head and helps him up as The Hardcore Icon then uses both hands and throws a fireball at Ryan's face burning him up. As Enmity blood has gone from the top of his head to his entire face with marks on his stomach and back as he's up he goes to the ropes and walks between and out of the ring. Then head over to the cage as Cherry is calling him with a pipe and she sticks it between the cage hole, and Johnny then grabs it to walks again between the ropes and in this time. He then awaits for Santo to get up who then grabs the ropes and gets up as Johnny then runs toward him pipe in hand lifts it up and smacks him in the head as hard as possible knocking him down. As the bloodied Enmity stands taunting lifting the pipe up with a manaical smile on his face as most fans boo and few cheer.

With the match 'heating up', thanks in part to Enmity's fireball, all three competitors appear to be slightly worse for wear. Santo is on all fours, sucking in deep breaths of precious oxygen before he can drag himself to his feet once more. Being on somewhat of a roll, Enmity sees the Masked Saint staggering around on his hands and knees and unwinds a well placed toe-punt to the Mexican's mid-section. The shot causes the lightweight luchador to hurtle through the air, spinning him upside down so that Santo lands on his back, his eyes shut tightly beneath the mask that hides his pain. When he opens his mouth to scream in agony, no sound comes out, but his eyes shoot open as well, telling all that his vocal chords could not. The cocky young Enmity struts about some more, wallowing in the new found momentum.
Meanwhile, Ryan Hughes had managed to regain some composure after the fireball shot to his face. He runs his hands over his cheek, feeling the seared flesh, the up over his eyes. He runs his fingers over the place where his eyebrows once grew, feeling nothing but baby pink flesh. Enmity looks at the length of piping, still in his hands, then back to the Batman. Striding with confidence now, he marches over to Hughes, swinging that pipe as soon as he is within range. The veteran Hughes sees the strike coming, despite his pain and lack of facial hair, and grabs Johnny's wrist in mid air. Ryan twists the hand of his opponent, watching as the pipe drops to the mat and wraps the other side of Enmity's body up by grabbing the other wrist. Hughes proceeds to headbutt the defenseless Enmity, once, twice and a third time before he releases the youngster and watches him reeling backward across the ring uncontrollably, just begging for somebody to seal the deal.
:"Big" Al Mulligan: It looks like Enmity may have gotten ahead of himself a little there. Hughes takes no prisoners at the best of times, but when his opponent is responsible for messing up his hairdo or singeing his facial hair...
:Colin "Fuzz" Jennings: Watch out! Well, as far as I can see, this match is still open for anybody to be victorious.
:"Big" Al Mulligan: Its a non-event Fuzz. Two people advance here. Santo Masceras is not at the level of these two athletes. So that leaves Hughes and Enmity.[/b][/i]
Seeing his wobbly opponent staggering across the ring in no-man's land, Hughes sprints off after him. Seeing his opportunity to strike, Ryan leaps to the air, unloading with a Jumping Leg Lariat that almost takes Enmity out of his boots and sends the brash youngster to the canvas. Hughes lands on his knees, and is quickly back on his feet to continue his roll, but stands to find a special welcoming committee in the form of a golden luchador mask hurtling at him at breakneck speed. Santo, having found his way to his feet again, seizes the opportunity to put his stamp back on the match by charging through Ryan Hughes headfirst, like a bull would charge through an amateur bullfighter. Hughes falls backwards onto the mat more out of surprise than anything, but is quickly back on his feet again and searching for the golden flash that had sent him sprawling.
He does not have to look long, as Santo comes back at him, this time wielding a short kendo stick in each hand. The high energy Mexican slaps each stick across each of the ears of Hughes, leaving the Batman stumbling about disorientated even further while he dashes off toward the wall of the cage again to mount a third attack. Before Ryan can shake off the effects of having his ears rung by dual kendo sticks, Santo is hurtling back at him. This time, the Mexican leaps into the air, spinning about in a corkscrew in mid air and attacking Hughes once more with the bamboo sticks, one after the other as he rotates. Both shots catch Hughes across the chest, before Santo swings his legs around to take the Batman off his feet. The battered, bewildered and surprised looking Ryan Hughes is left lying on his back, staring up at the ceiling, while the fast paced Mexican is free to stand to his feet once more.
:Colin "Fuzz" Jennings: Santo Masceras has just taken the pace of this match into a whole new gear, and poor Ryan Hughes had no answer for the lethal luchador.
:"Big" Al Mulligan: Lethal? Nice alliteration Fuzz, but perhaps you might want to try something that actually describes Santo next time. How about the "looser" luchador?
:Colin "Fuzz" Jennings: It just doesn't have the same ring to it does it Al? Either way, Santo appears to be quite able to wield a weapon. Are they training the luchadors to fight death-matches now in Mexico?[/i]
By the time Santo manages to slow down, he is standing next to the cage wall. Off to his side sits a ladder, placed to use for one of the lucky two to use in reaching the second level of NeXuS. Santo looks up, seeing the target, the source of all of the hype. He adjusts the mask on his face slightly as the idea forms in his mind, shaking his head slightly as obviously trying to work something out in his head. Silently, he lifts the ladder, setting it up underneath the trapdoor. With both of his opponents still incapacitated, Santo begins to climb. He makes his way quickly up the ladder till he is almost in reach of the trapdoor. The Mexican takes in a deep breath as he pushes up to test the doorway...
Nothing.
Again, Santo slams his fists into the door in an attempt to open it, but again he comes up short. With that, the Mexican looks down at the scene below him. Hughes is still writhing about across the ring, looking in no fit shape to be mounting a counter-offensive. But it is not until he looks directly below him does he see Enmity. The youngster had watches as Santo climbed the ladder, and dashed over as quickly as his bloody and battered body would allow. With a giant shoulder charge, Enmity takes out the ladder from underneath Santo, but the quick thinking Mexican grabs a hold of the top of the cage roof. As the ladder disappears from under his footing, the Masked Saint is left hanging from the ceiling of the cell, too high for Enmity to reach him.
Frustrated, Enmity hurls a string of abuse at him, but receives no reply. He is about to hurl a range of discarded weapons in the Mexican's direction when he is hit from behind. Hughes, seeing the youngster distracted, had turned up on the scene and driven a knee into the back of the Hardcore Icon. Enmity cries out in pain, loud enough to catch the attention of Santo from above. Seeing both of his opponents below him, Santo knows what to do.
:"Big" Al Mulligan: That Mexican is just foolish. He had the chance to exhibit more pain on his opponents, but decided to spend his time testing the doors that he knew would be locked anyway? What is he thinking?
:Colin "Fuzz" Jennings: I think we are about to find out what he was thinking Al. Look at the facts... Neither of his opponents can get at him, they will continue to tear each other apart in the process. And for once, Santo Masceras has the clear "height" advantage!
:"Big" Al Mulligan: Je-sus... Every day you say something that makes me want to kill myself. That might just have been it today.[/i]
Santo lines up the strike, as Enmity and Ryan Hughes lock horns in a collar and elbow tie. High above them, the Mexican Masked Mystery Man lets them position themselves into the prefect position, then lets go of his hand holds. Santo drops, landing atop both men and sending Enmity flying outwards and crashing to the mat firstly. As for Hughes, the Mexican had managed to wrap his legs around his neck and proceeds to flip him onto his back and neck with a Hurricanrana, executed perfectly from the top of the cell. The crowd rise as one to the spectacle, as a raucous "Santo... Santo" chant begins to erupt around the arena.
