It's time. The biggest match of the calendar has arrived. You have been assigned a steel cell at random at the start of the show, and you now climb the steel steps that lead you into one of four rings which are placed side-by-side to form essentially a much larger square. Chain-link surrounds the standard ring you enter into, swiftly removing you from an atmosphere that, for the most part, you have never gotten accustomed to. This is The NeXuS...
You move to one of the corners, your back resting against the turnbuckles as you glance across the center of the ring to one of the competitors who've also signed their name on a dotted line a week previous -for the same goal you wish to achieve by the time the night ends. In the center of your ring sits two trash cans, inside of those is a various assortment of weaponry to aid you in your mission...and the trash cans themselves. Hopefully, the random street sign, hockey stick, or steel chair can help you over the next most life-changing ten minutes of your career...you think about why you're in here, and that's when you look up...
Above you, fifteen feet above the ring you stand in, is the cell roof. In one corner, above the turnbuckle to which all four rings meet is installed a trap door which is locked by remote. This door will not be unlocked until the time is up, and upon it's unlocking, only two of you can enter through it. How do you decide who stays and who advances? Simple, the same way you've solved it throughout your career.
And finally, you turn your attention to the rings next to you. One side is a cage the exact same as the one you stand in with three others. Across from that is another. Adjacent to that, another. Including you, there's twelve men amongst these four cages. If you're lucky, you'll get to fight seven of them off when the time comes...but for now, you face off with two of your own to handle. You find yourself spacing-out as you stare at the shine of one of the weapons, until the voice of Charlie Coors booms from the audio system -the hair on the back of your neck going on end as the few thousand in attendance begin to cheer. This could be the day.
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN...IT IS TIME FOR THE 2010 NEXUS DEATHMATCH!"
An uproar of support rattles your eardrums...
"As per GHW ruling, Round One will commence at the start of the bell. In which the participants will fight until the doors situated in each cell roof will open. Four men, one from each cage, will be eliminated and eight will advance onto Round Two. There will be NO disqualifications. There will be NO countouts. Every cell door is locked, and there will be NO possibility of interference. G-H-W...LET THEM HEAR IT!"
Another cheer, you look out into the sea of fans...some of those signs are for you.
'ding, ding, ding!'

Anthony and GreenSpark look at eachother and GreenSpark nods. They both advance toward Brian. GreenSpark kicks brian in the stomach and he bends over and anthony tucks his head in his arm pit and falls back smashing Brian's head into the mat with a thud. GreenSpark again looks at Anthony this time with a threating glare and then he points to the top rope. Anthony without hesitation walks over and starts to climb. He jumps off the ropes and sticks his legs out landing on The Commenwealth. Andrews stands back up after the jumps and flings his arms straight up in the air. Brian rolls around gripping his chest. Anthony turns around and walks toward GreenSpark who is standing in the corner planning something. He runs at GreenSpark and jumps up planting a knee in GreenSpark's mid chest. GreenSpark falls back into the corner. He grabs GreenSpark's arm and flings him across the ring. He hits the turnbuckle so hard he falls face first on the mat. The commenwealth finally up to a vertical stance walks up behind Andrews and wraps his hands around his waste. The he falls back flinging Andrews arcoss the ring. Anthony Andrews just dominating these first minutes of the match.Ya but he made a MAJOR mistake when he turned his back on Brian Breme.Brian walks over to GreenSpark who caused him all the pain in the beginning of the match. GreenSpark who is pulling himself up from smacking into the mat seconds ago looks up to see Brian's foot in his face. He rolls across the ring laying next to the cage links. He grabs him by the mask and starts rubbing it on the cage. Then he lifts the Pyro up by the back of his mask. He tucks GreenSpark's head between his arm and then hooks GreenSpark's arms. The Commenwealth then lifts him up over his shoulder and lets go as GreenSpark soars through the air and smashes to the ground behind Breme. Breme sits up with a look that says "Did I really hit my finisher already?"Brian stands back up and walks over to anthony who is leaning on the top rope. He kicks him in the back making him fall face first into the turnbuckle. He grabs the back of Anthony's head and throws it behind him making a sickining thud throughout the arena. Then you see Brian turn back to the turnbuckle and starts to fidgit with it. Brian throws the padded covering behind him and raises his hand as the fans cheer on his every action. He turns back around to grab the prone body of Andrews. He slowly drags him up by the arms. Breme picks up Andrews and sets him on his shoulders. He walks around for a minute letting him lay on his shoulder. Then he turns toward the non-padded turnbuckle. He grabs Anthony who is still laying on him and flips him foward making him land on the open turnbuckle chest first. All of a sudden GreenSpark pulls a lighter and some mixed flamible substances out of his pocket. While Brian is still watching Anthony GreenSpark put some of the substance and sprays it on a kendou stick he finds in the trashcan. He flicks the lighter and watches as the flamible object lights up. Brian turns around as he hears the whoosh sound the object made. GreenSpark swings it and hits Brian straight in the stomach. *CRACK* *CRACK* *CRACK* *CRACK*Oh my god already he has brought out fire.Wow a kendou stick hurts with out the fire but, with it he is going have scars.TBCB Brian Breme, Anthony Andrews OOC:good luck guys and here is my contract

Brian Breme falls to both knees, arms across the welts that had already formed from the violent shots. Pain etches Commonwealth's facial features as he falls to his side, kicking his feet against the canvas. Spark raises the flame engulfed kendo stick, high above his head, as the fans give a small cheer of appreciation, for the rookie. The Greenspark's attention is soon caught by movement, from the corner on his right, where Anthony Andrews has now reached a knee. The two men lock eyes and Spark grips his still flaming kendo stick, with both hands, as he prepares to deliver a blow, to the other rookie in this contest. Anthony well aware of Greenspark's intentions, waits till he steps forward, before standing to a vertical base. Spark closes in and Anthony runs forward, ducking, as the kendo stick soars just over his back, close enough for Andrews to feel the heat and a small flicker of flame, touch his skin. Anthony continues his momentum, running across the ring, into the opposite set of ropes, rebounds, his flesh touching the steel cage briefly and charges directly at Spark. Spark turns just in time to see Andrews leave his feet, before a forearm crashes into his jaw, sending the bigger man reeling backwards, till he falls into the bottom ropes, his head hitting the steel mesh.
Wow! What a flying forearm to the face! Spark may be bigger, but when a small guy throws all his weight at you it's still going to hurt.
HA! Please I will take the bigger guy almost any day, but for this match up I say Breme takes it...
Andrews is quick to his feet, pushing himself up with both hands. He turns to the trash cans that had both, fallen over and rolled harmlessly out of the way of the action. Anthony quickly rushes to the closest one and begins digging for a weapon. Behind him, in the center of the ring, Brian begins to rise to his feet, each movement causes the welts to hurt, but he fights it off, as he reaches a vertical base. Anthony now having found something to his liking, pulls out a silver staple gun and raises it before the crowd, who begin laughing a bit as they know what and who, waits behind him.
Brian not wanting the fans to give away his advantage stretches out an arm, grabbing Anthony's shoulder and spinning the bigger guy around. Andrews caught off guard has a stupid look on his face, as Brian relieves him of the staple gun, he held limply in his right hand. Breme quickly raises the gun up to Anthony's chest, before the rookie has time to react and plants the tip of the long staple into Andrew's left peck, he cries out in pain, as Breme squeezes the handle, driving the metal staple, deep into Andrews flesh.
Holy Shit! A staple right into the chest that can't be healthy for a man.
Really? That's the best line you got?
Yeah I thought it....
Anthony falls backwards to the mat holding the spot where the staple was still embedded in his flesh. Brian quickly pounces on top of Anthony and begins driving staple, after staple, deep into the rookies flesh. Andrews screams in agony, as the pain flashes through him in brief spasms. Breme then sits back on his knees and grabs Anthony by his hair, pulling him up, before slowly drawing the staple gun close to the young mans forehead. Anthony feels the tips of the staple, as it pierces the skin on his head and slowly Breme squeezes driving a staple right between the rookies eyes.
Man Brian has no love for the rookies in this match up!
No kidding but hey this is NEXUS! And you do anything to make it to the top or you just won't make it
TBC OOC: Please bare in mind this is my first match in a while might be rusty

Post by "The Commonwealth" Brian Breme on May 14, 2010 1:13:16 GMT -5
After planting a staple in between the eyes of the rookie, Brian turns his focus to Andrews' left arm lying limp on the side of him, and begins voraciously stapling the tiny metal staples into his bicep enticing Andrews to swing sporadically at the torso of Breme with his right arm to hopefully get the legend to relent in his cruel punishment. The punches do not have much an effect on The Quintessential Element, but two arms suddenly go underneath his arms and then lock behind his head in a right full nelson which causes his arms to be thrown erectly out on either side of him, and adversely causing Brian to lose grip on the staple gun and involuntarily fling it away from the combat. The firm full nelson is locked in by none other than the much bigger GreenSpark, and he quickly jerks Brian off of Andrews and to his feet, afterward dragging him backwards a few steps away from Andrews. With complete control over Brian in this tight submissive move, GreenSpark lets out a dominating roar and throws all of his body weight backward along with B Double, releasing him halfway through the throw. Brian's body careens through the air, performing a complete backflip which allows Brian to surprisingly land gracefully on his feet causing a roar of cheers from the section of crowd nearest to Cage 3.
Colin "The Fuzz" Jennings: And checking into Cage Three right now - Ah! You can see the perception and experience of Brian as he lands on his feet after GreenSpark's unsuccessful attempt at a Full Nelson Suplex. The rookies have to keep in mind that Brian's been around for a very long time, and is too familiar with that ring to be taken by surprise so easily.
Brian stands at the head of GreenSpark now, as the force of the suplex caused GreenSpark's body to be thrown down and to his back. GreenSpark - not even aware of Brian landing on his feet - doesn't have enough time to roll to the side before The Commonwealth leaps into the air and comes crashing down with both feet firmly into the chest of GreenSpark which pushes all of the air out of the big man's lungs. Brian uses the bounce of GreenSpark's chest to jump clear over the fallen rookie's feet and behind Andrews who just made it to his feet using the ropes. Brian waste no time in wrapping his arms around the waist of Andrews and tries a suplex of his own, throwing all of his weight backward just as GreenSpark had previously done to him. Brian releases his German Suplex halfway through causing Andrews' body to fly backward where GreenSpark formerly laid before he rolled to the edge of the ring near the ropes to catch his breath. The German Suplex was not thrown to its fullest potential though, and in a very gracefully maneuver, Andrews is able to use the momentum of the throw to rolls backwards in an inverted somersault, quickly returning to his feet thereafter.
"Big" Al Mulligan: Yeah, looking in at Cage Three again, looks like Brian isn't so smooth after all. His basic release German Suplex against one of our newest Fighty fighty persons just failed. Some vet.
Brian rolls onto his shoulders and kicks his legs up into the air in an arc, allowing his body to follow and landing swiftly on his feet athletically. Unaware of Andrews behind him though, he is quickly rushed from behind and Andrews smashes his forearms into the upper back of Brian causing him to stumble forward into the ropes, thus sending him stumbling backwards directly into his attack. Andrews merely lowers his body though and sticks his head in between the legs of Brian from behind and then lifts him up into the air in an Electric Chair Drop position. GreenSpark sees Andrews lift Breme into the air and crawls close to them from behind. Andrews stands idle with Brian on his shoulders for a few moments, undecided on how to follow up from this position when his own body suddenly begins being lifted into the air and a loud scream of exertion is heard from GreenSpark who is lifting not only Andrews onto his shoulder, but also the body weight of Breme.
"Big" Al Mulligan: Well I'll be damned, look at this. GreenSpark might be using too much energy though. Although he is a lot larger than both Andrews and Breme, I don't see what the point in this is.
In the middle of the ring stands a quivering GreenSpark due to the weight on his shoulders, Andrews on his shoulder, and Brian on Andrews' shoulders - representing a human totem pole. GreenSpark lets out another giant scream before finally falling backward to execute the Electric Chair Drop, but Brian reaches up at the last moment and grabs tight the roof of the cage to prevent him from falling. Underneath him, Andrews reaches around the legs on his shoulder and holds onto them tightly out of instinct, causing him to hang onto Brian's legs in the same position they previously were with GreenSpark landing awkwardly on his back in the middle of the ring due to his cargo suddenly making themselves scarce. Brian wriggles his legs, attempting to shake off Andrews, but Andrews does not relent his lock around Brian's thighs, and eventually he is able to transition his body enough to where his face is directly in the crotch of Brian and he has his arms wrapped around Brian thighs in the opposite manner of which they previously were - per say, this time in a powerbomb-like lock. Finally, Brian's grips on the top of the cage slips and as they fall, Andrews uses his arms to throws the body weight of Brian down and then kicks his own legs out on either side of Brian's body so that they land in a sit-out powerbomb - with Brian landing back-first over the stomach of GreenSpark and one of Andrews' legs landing across GreenSpark's throat, and the other on top of his groin. The crowd erupts into cheers at the beautifully placed high spot as Andrews rolls away from the other two men holding his lower spine after landing directly on his butt from the sit-out powerbomb and potentially hurting his tailbone.
Colin "The Fuzz" Jennings: WHOA! Did you see that!? Only in GHW will you see moves that innovative, that was incredible.
At this point, Andrews lays on one side of the ring on his stomach holding the tailbone area of his back in pain, GreenSpark lays in the middle of the middle of the ring coughing profusely due to Brian being slammed across his stomach, and Brian has already begun making it to his feet once more due to much of the impact of the powerbomb being relinquished because of the cushion of GreenSpark's stomach.

Brian stands up and stares down GreenSpark who is still coughing from the impact of the powerbomb. Breme grabs GreenSpark pulling him up by the mask. He wraps his arms around GreenSpark's waste and falls back slamming GreenSpark neck first on the mat. Breme laughs as he looks at the destruction around the ring. Andrews pulls himself up in the corner holding onto his ribs. Brian tucks his shoulder and runs at Anthony impaling him with it. Andrews goes into the turnbuckle back first and falls foward from the impact of the blow. As Andrews is sitting against the corner Breme jumps up putting his feet in Andrew's face. Breme stands back up and smirks at Andrews prome body.
I think Breme may have broken a few of Andrews ribs.
Hopefully!
GreenSpark who is now standing charges at Breme with an arm extended. He hits Breme who flips backwards from the power of the clothesline. He stands over Breme staring at him. He grabs Breme by the hair and lifts him up. He grabs him by the arm and runs over to the corner and climbs up it still holding Breme's arm. He jumps off toward Breme and wraps his arm around Breme's head and spins around before hitting the mat back first driving Breme head first onto the mat.
Yes! GreenSpark is dominating! If he can keep this up he will be able to make it to stage two easily!
We still have about five minutes until the gates open though.
Andrews is now standing on the top rope jumps up and grabs hold of the cage and starts to climb along the roof of the cage. He gets above Breme and Swing his feet up so he is hanging by his hands and legs. He lets his hands go and flips backwards twice and lands right on Breme. Breme coughs and blood flys out of his mouth. GreenSpark walks up behind Andrews and grabs him from behind. Andrews throws his elbow back and hits GreenSpark in the side of the head. GreenSpark stumbles back into the corner and Andrews stands in the middle of the ring waiting for GreenSpark to walk foward. Right as GreenSpark steps foward and Andrews throws his foot into GreenSpark's face dropping him to the mat.
Wow Andrews need to get a life.
Your just mad that he is wiping the floor with GreenSpark!
Breme runs up behind Andrews and kicks him in the back. Andrews falls foward holding his back. Breme grabs Andrews head and throws it down. Anthony's head bounces off the mat. He grabs Andrews by the hair and lifts him up. He wraps his arms around Anthony and falls back holding on. Making Andrews land hard on his back. Then Breme rolls off of him. Brian walks over to the chair sitting on the mat. He positions it in the corner and lifts GreenSpark by the mask. He grabs him by the head and throws him towards the chair. GreenSpark's head goes through the chair and GreenSpark stands up with the chair wrapped his neck. The crowd cheers This is awesome!
I like GreenSpark's new style!

The crowd cheers as Spark rubber-legs across the ring, chair as a necktie, bobbing down to one knee as his consciousness weaves back and forth.
*BZZZZT*
With the sound of the round ending, Brian seizes the opportunity of both Anthony and Spark reeling. The Commonwealth darts over to the corner and scales the buckles with ease, leaving the two remaining to decipher who will remain. Breme hoists himself through the exit and advances, sweat on his brow, a fusion of aggression and confidence surging through his veins.
With Breme out of the picture, GreenSpark crawls towards the corner of the trapdoor, fighting through an apparent concussion, the chair still dangling from his neck. The heavyweight reaches the turnbuckle, and hand-over-hand begins pulling his sandbagging frame up, slowly he is able to plant a boot on the second rope, wrapping his fingers around the side of the cage as he begins to stand -now halfway there. Finally, finally...
A hand wraps around the back of Greenspark's neck, removing him from the pads and halting his progress. The Pyromaniac turns around, staggering, blood running from a gash opened from Brian's chair shot to see a trio of Andrews' -his vision blurred. The trio of Anthony's lift a second chair into the air and drive it across his skull, concussing his brain into the rear wall of his cranium and removing all strength from his legs. The big man falls to the mat with a roar of the audience, somewhat impressed in the rookie's accomplishment in his first showing. Reaping this reward, Anthony steps over the body of GreenSpark and climbs the ropes, lifting himself to the trapdoor where he successfully cements his first career objective in the first stage of NeXuS.
End of round.
