The bell rings three times, signaling for the buzzing crowd to quiet down. Charlie Coors stands in the ring with a microphone in one hand and a cue card in his right, ready to announce the next skirmish of the evening.
"The following tag team match is scheduled for one fall and it is for the GHW Tag Team Championships!"
The crowd cheers some for the contest that they are about to see, then the cheering picks up once "Big Balls" by AC/DC hits. Metal Dragon and The Proeliator step through the curtain, MD wearing a black hoodie and long black tights while Pro has a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey along with his usual ring gear. Dragon sheepishly walks to the ring, seemingly scared of something while his tag team partner is quick to make his way down the ramp.
"Introducing first, the challengers. At a combined weight of 455 pounds, they are Metal Dragon and The Proeliator... Highway Robbery!"
Dragon gets into the ring finally, while Pro has already retrieved two microphones. One of the mics is handed to the Man of Golden Words, who still bears an uneasy look on his face. The Armbar Junkie looks at MD while the crowd quiets down, then begins to speak.
Pro: "What's with the sweater?"
MD: "I... spilled something on my shirt and had to change it."
"But why the sweater?"
"Don't worry about it."
"Come on, what's under there that's so bad?"
"Curse words and naked women and obscene things that will get our sponsors pulled."
"Jaggeroth did that already. I think you're hiding something, Dragon."
Proeliator sighs and looks at the crowd, then back at MD. A small section of fans begin chanting "Show your shirt!".
"FINE! Damn it."
Grumbling the whole time, the Metallic One removes the hoodie, revealing a Boston Bruins jersey underneath. A massive torrential downpour of booing strikes up while Proeliator puts a hand on his own forehead.
"Dude... Not cool."
"But... my dad was from Boston. I... I don't HATE the Penguins. I like this city. Malkin's pretty cool..."
No mercy is given for the Nashvillian, who scrambles in his mind to think of something to win the crowd back over. MD removes the jersey and puts it on top of the hoodie that now lies on the canvas, then sheepishly says one more thing into the microphone once the jeering settles down.
"Uh... Go Steelers?"
Cheering begins again as MD finally cracks a smile, picking up the clothing that he placed on the mat and walking it over to the referee. Pro takes his Penguins jersey off and gives it to the same person, then the tag team challengers walk to a corner to begin talking strategy as they await the champs.

The arena dies down as the lights fade to black. "Let Us Slay" by GWAR begins to blare over the PA system as the lights rise up to the beat of the music. On the stage two figures appear on the stage. The spot lights hit the Tag champs as Wolverina is seen wearing a skimpy ring outfit. She has short pink shorts, wrestling boots and a halter style top. She keeps walking straight for the ring as Pyro moves more slowly, a look of disgust written across his face at what he knew about the Circus' recent actions. Pyro has his black kimono on, his wrists are covered in the white tekkou and he has the white over coat with the Japanese characters for '6th Gate' on the back with his katana in the sash around his waist.
Coors: And introducing the tag team champions. At a combined weight of three hundred and eighty pounds. Representing the Psychotic Circus, Haven "Wolverina" Cassady and the "Angelic Ninja" Chris Pyro!!!
Both champions reach the ring and walk up the ring steps and into the ring. Pyro ignores Wolverina as he takes off his championship belt and hands it to the ref before taking off the top of his kimono and his overcoat. He looks to Wolverina before telling her she'd start the match. Pyro climbs out of the ring and on to the apron as Wolverina hands the belt over to the ref and prepares for the match to begin.

OOC: Double post with permission
Wolfie looks over to Pyro then to MD and Proeliator. She prepares herself for battle as her Ninja partner slowly sneaks into the ring. Wolfie takes a few steps forward to the middle when she is blasted from behind with a very stiff kick to the back of her head, falling to the mat after the blow. Dragon and Pro take a step back to see the squabble between partners. Pyro grabs Wolfie by the hair and lifts her to her feet. Pyro holds her head and lifts a knee into her chin, straightening her up as Pyro deilvers a punch into her midsection, doubling her over once more. Wolfie is quickly met with another knee to her face, breaking her nose. Wolfie straightens up again holding her face, when she is met with a back elbow, sending her spinning to the mat face first. Pyro looks at MD and Pro, who signal that he can continue his assault on Haven. The Angelic Ninja looks down as Wolfie fights to her feet, Pyro's eyes showing nothing but rage. He grabs a handful of the Nebraskan Cutie's hair and hoists her to her feet. Wolfie can barely stand as the abuse has been tremendous in such a short period of time. Pyro delivers two stiff open hand slaps to Wolfie's face before spinning around quickly delivering a backhand slap. Pyro lifts his leg, connecting to the side of Wolfie's head. Wolfie crumbles to one knee.
Fuzz: I wonder what is causing such an outburst in Pyro.
Big Al: I'm sure there is some reason behind it, with Pyro's talk about honour, and then attacking from behind. It wouldn't make sense unless Pyro knew something.
Pyro grabs Wolfie by the hair and lifts her up. He turns her around, putting on arm between her legs and lifting her into an Torture Rack position. Pyro lifts Wolfie's small frame over his head and as she falls, lifts his knee driving it hard into the skull of Wolfie. Haven crumbles to the mat out cold, blood pouring from her broken nose as Pyro just stands over her body, glaring down at her. Pyro mouths something to her, but it goes on heard to the rest of the fans as he looks over to MD and Pro. Pyro prepares himself for a two on one match.

Post by Reverend Vortigern on Jul 7, 2010 18:32:15 GMT -5
"The Profit of Doom" by Type O Negative hits the PA and the crowd begins cheering, knowing exactly who is coming out. Reverend Vortigern indeed does part the curtain and come into view at the top of the entrance ramp, clad in his usual red attire with a cane in his strong hand and a microphone in his off hand. Making a throat slash motion, he cues for the music to be cut and then immediately speaks.
"Bring her here."
Dragon and Pro hastily begin dragging the fallen Wolverina toward the edge of the ring. Pyro steps back, befuddled by what is happening but taking the opportunity to plan for the nearly impossible match that seems imminent. The two tag challengers slide out of the ring and throw one arm each of Haven's over their shoulders, then carry her toward their boss.
"Wolverina, can you hear me?"
Up the ramp the two technicians traverse with their dazed former friend in tow, Vortigern's eyes staying wide except for the rare blink as the speech he is about to give formulates in his head.
"I certainly don't take kindly to beatings, but I gave you a match with Vladimir Strife for it. Yes, it would've destroyed you, but I also saw your hunger..."
Only a few feet away from Vortigern, Haven opens her eyes, still weary and disoriented from the beatdown he just received, but able to understand what is being saved. As what appears to be two Vortigerns lecture her, the crowd quiets down.
"...Then I saw your disrespect. Constant slaps in the face. We liked you. We wanted you to succeed. Then you turned it around and threw it in not only my face, but Dragon's face, Matt's face, hell, even the fans' faces. You bitched about this match, you've bitched about everything that authority has done here in the past few weeks. Like all revolutionaries who rebel just because it's the cool thing they want to do to get noticed, it's time you go on the scrap heap. Haven Cassady... YOU'RE FIRED!"
The spectators begin to cheer, even moreso as the two members of Highway Robbery duck down and both hook a leg of Haven, then stand up with her and fall backward. The self-proclaimed People's Princess is planted onto the steel entrance ramp.
"Security."
Large men dressed in black immediately storm from behind the curtain, then grab Metal Dragon and The Proeliator by the arms. The two tag challengers' faces take on a look of confusion as the general manager hastily corrects the security personnel.
"No, you morons, not them. Her!"
The guards look down at Wolverina, then back up at Vortigern, then shrug and hastily carry her off to eject her from the premises. Once the cheering fans quiet down, the Chaotic Clergyman speaks once again.
"The following will not be a handicap match, though. See, we signed someone not too long ago, and believe me when I say that this firing was something I'd meditated on for a few nights, not something I did on the spur of the moment. Chris Pyro, though one would expect me to screw you over, these fans and I all want to see a fair fight and an excellent one at that. I have found your tag team partner. Now once Robbery gets to the ring..."
Metal Dragon and The Proeliator step back, then turn around and walk to the squared circle.
"Okay, Pyro... Here is your partner!"

Vortigan stands in place, a smirk plastered over his face as Boats and hoes by Huff and Doback blares across the GHW arena. The fans in unison wear a confused look, none of them having any idea who Pyro’s mystery partner is as the entrance theme gives them no clue. The entrance curtain’s part ways once more, revealing none other than Tayler Nathan Thomas, wearing a pair of baggy black shorts, boots and his hands taped, but the most noticeable piece of attire is a “Pyro did it for the rock” Tshirt, which manages to get a few cheap laughs from the audience.
Tayler nods at Vortigan before he begins his first ever decent into a ghw ppv ring, knowing that before him stood the challenging duo of highway robbery. Tayler makes it to the ring and walks straight over to his tag team partner before he removes his shirt and offers it to the rogue ninja. His partner unwilling to accept the gift, he tosses it into the crowd before signalling for Pyro to start the bout.

Post by Backyard Brawler//Proeliator on Jul 10, 2010 16:00:22 GMT -5
MD and Proeliator take a look across the ring to the Ninja and then back to each other and do a quick game of rock, paper, scissors, with Proeliator being the victor and taking the ring first. The bell sounds and both men come together in the middle in a collar and elbow tie-up. Both men struggle for a few seconds before the Pro gets a hold of Chris' left arm, twisting out of the lock-up with wrist control. Pyro checks his arm for tension and then rolls to the ground in a somersault, twisting while on the ground to completely relieve the pressure and then quickly thrusts his foot upward, catching the surprised master of the arm-bar on the chin, canceling out the wrist lock and bringing the exchange to a stalemate.
The crowd shows their appreciation by applauding the two combatants as they back up into their respective corners yet again and come back to the middle, presumably for another tie-up. Just as both mean near each other, the Pro puts up his hand in a stop motion, confusing the Ninja and bringing a temporary halt to the match. Completely befuddled this worked, the Pittsburgh native does an arm worm, ending with him pointing to his corner where Metal Dragon stands. The crowd erupts as Pro retreats to his corner and tags in the metallic one as Pyro impatiently waits in the ring with hands on his hips, visibly frustrated.
Fuzz:~ It appears that Proeliator is just playing the role of the tease, for the main course of Dragon.
Al:~ Well good on ya laddy! You finally figured out my cock's nickname!
Fuzz face-palms at the idiocy of the statement just laid before him.
Fuzz:~ Did that really just come out of your mouth?
Al:~ No but the Dragon came into your mother's! Do ho ho!
As the more experienced and distinguished half of Highway Robbery enters the ring to a sea of cheers, the Ninja continues to get more agitated before yelling across the ring.
Pyro:~ You done with the games? Or are we going to have a match?
Dragon's jaw drops as he stares across the ring at his opponent who's patience is wearing incredibly thin and lets him know that he thinks he's number one, then puts his hand in the air, signaling for a test of strength. Pyro scoffs, but Dragon insists and both men raise hands in the middle of the ring, locking fingers and begin the test to see who has a firmer handshake. As both men eagerly try to gain an advantage, a bored Dragon drives a knee into the ninja's gut and throws his hands in the air with an ayyyy call, getting the crowd involved a little.
Grabbing the nape of his adversary's neck he lifts him to his feet and delivers a stiff chop before pushing him back towards the ropes. Grabbing left arm of his opponent, the metallic one gains some leverage and pulls him along with him, attempting to hurl him to the other side of the ring. The Ninja, being adept at countering, plants his feet and uses the momentum he had already gained to hurl Dragon into the ropes. The Nashville native rebounds off the ropes but is completely prepared for his nemesis and slides through his legs to the other side of the ring, gaining the advantage. As Pyro turns around he's met with 2 boots being planted forcefully into his midsection, driving the wind out of his lungs and his body to the mat.
Fuzz:~ Highway Robbery have come out on fire tonight! This is a hell of a performance from them.
Al:~ Absolutely is Fuzz, but you can't count out the patch-work team of Pyro and TNT either. Both are accomplished Fighty fighty persons.
Fuzz:~ I wholeheartedly agree there Al, but right now it just appears they're being toyed with.
Al:~ You know, I know someone who actually enjoys being toyed with.
Fuzz:~ I thought you told me you were going to tone down about my mother?
Al:~ Ok son, I'll just talk about my girlfriend. So last night...
Fuzz:~ JUST FOCUS ON THE MATCH!
The Dragon quickly capitalizes, grabbing his opponent and dragging him to the corner where he tags in the calculated king of the underground. He hoists up the ninja to the top rope before hooking his feet and letting him fall in the tree of woe. Highway Robbery high five each other before the Pro runs to the opposing corner, leaving his feet and driving his boots into the knees of TNT, dropping him to the outside, but not before face-planting on the apron. Dragon charges into the opposing corner, putting his foot down and planting off the bottom turnbuckle before turning around and returning to the hanging Pyro. As he nears, he leaves his feet, flipping forwards in a somersault towards his nemesis. As contact is made, the force is so strong that Chris is dislodged from the ropes and sent out to the floor in a heap. Robbery both get to their feet and ham it up for the crowd as both men on the outside attempt to regain their bearings and recuperate.
Al:~ I haven't seen anyone get beat this badly since you the other day when you sassed my girlfriend.
Fuzz:~ You know, just call her my mother, its less disturbing that way.
Al:~ You didn't deny the beating? You've officially surrendered your manhood card.
Fuzz:~ I'm focusing on this match! How are TNT and Pyro going be able to overcome these outstanding odds? I mean, this has been a one-sided affair tonight!
Al:~ I'm sure you have no experience in one-sided affairs lad, you should keep the adult talk to the rest of us, especially when there are men getting their careers shortened out there.
TNT and Chris Pyro convene outside the squared circle to formulate some sort of plan while the Pro waits in the ring and the ref begins to count.

TNT gets up on the apron and Pyro rolls into the ring, staying near his corner before tagging in Tayler Nathan Thomas. TNT enters the ring opposite the Pro, who stands in the other corner, eager to lock horns with his former boss. Both men come charging in throwing forearms until TNT gains the advantage when he rocks Pro with a strong european uppercut, knocking him to the canvas. The harbinger of pain doesn't waste any time, bounding off the ropes and returning to his downed opponent, leaving his feat and dropping a knee to his downed opponent. In one swift motion he rolls through and grabs his opponent's arm and wraps his legs around his head and neck, locking in a triangle choke.
Dragon, seeing his partner in danger, immediately enters the ring to break up the submission and is immediately admonished by the referee. With the official's back turned TNT gets the master of the armbar to his feet and whips him to the corner, where Pyro's boot is ready and waiting for his face. The force of the blow to the Proeliator's face sends him back towards the middle of the ring where Thomas is lying in wait. As the Pro staggers, TNT runs up, placing him in a front waist lock. Exerting his strength he lifts the weakened bareknuckle fighter up and over his own head where he comes crashing down in a heap. Not allowing a second for breathing room, Tayler grabs his opponent and quickly attempts to go for a pin.
…..1.....
Fuzz:~ Proeliator hasn't sustained enough damage yet to be put down for a count, but TNT was very smart to go for the cover, as it will substantially weaken his opponent.
Al:~ So that's why they tell you to smother with a pillow, not to muffle the noise, but to eliminate the struggle! Thanks for the advice!
Fuzz:~ I'm sure suffocation would play a part in the lack of struggle.
Al:~ Why would death metal play a part in people laying back and enjoying the Mulligan machine?
Fuzz:~ The mulligan machine?
Al:~ Oh yeah! So nice you wanna do it over, and over and over.
Fuzz:~ Just when you though golf and wrestling couldn't get more phallic folks!
TNT lifts the Dark Warrior up from the mat, dragging him to his corner where he sets him up and tags in his partner, Chris Pyro who quickly takes advantage with a flurry of kicks and punches that knock his opponent down in the corner. Bounding towards the opposite side ropes he picks up speed as he bounces off and heads towards his fallen adversary. Upon his arrival he sticks his leg out, brushing the bottom of his boot across the face of the Pro, knocking him all the way down to the mat.
Wasting no time and using his partner to his advantage he tags in his partner who quickly goes to the mat and puts their nemesis into a surfboard as the ninja goes back to the ropes again before returning and delivering a vicious dropkick to the side of the head. The referee hurries Chris out of the ring before getting down to make the count as TNT has quickly gone for the cover.
…..1.....
…..2.....
Fuzz:~ NO! Not this time! The Proeliator had the presence of mind to get his foot on the bottom rope to break up the count!
Al:~ Well in my day, rope breaks only counted if you paid the refs off.
Fuzz:~ How long ago was that?
Al:~ Before I met your mother.
Fuzz:~ When was that?
Al:~ 9 months before your birthday. Ah ha ha
Thomas can't believe that he didn't pick up the win with that exchange, but determined as ever brings both himself and the Pro to their feet, leaning his opponent up on the ropes before delivering a sickening sounding knife-edge chop that echoed through the arena. The Pro winces in pain before he gets dragged out to the middle of the ring by Ireland's own son, before getting his arm and leg hooked and being driven to the mat backwards as TNT drops him with a russian leg sweep. Back up to his feet in a hurry, Tayler grabs one of the legs of his former employee and drags him to the corner where he tags in the ninja.
Pyro hops in over the top rope with his legs extended, dropping them over the exposed knee of the Pro as TNT held him down. Continuing with the attack he hits a couple of kicks to the knee before heading to the turnbuckle to go to the top. Perched on the top turnbuckle with his back to the ring, he checks one last time that his opponent is downed before leaping with a corkscrew moonsault splash, landing on top of his opponent, square in the middle of the ring.
Fuzz:~ It's the Cry of the Phoenix! This is all over!
Al:~ Thank God! Sooner this finishes up, sooner I'm going to see a special lady!

(OOC: Posting this with permission from MD, to even out the match.)
Pyro sits back on his knees, a look of annoyance on his face as one of his favourite moves didn’t put away the Pro. Pyro gets to one knee before grabbing Proeliator by the head and lifting him up to his feet. Once on their feet, Pro quickly connects with a forearm, but Pyro replies with a vicious kick to the side of Pro’s head, causing Pro to need the ropes to keep up on his feet. Pyro puts his arm around the neck of Pro and brings him into his corner again. TNT slaps the back of the Angelic Ninja, as Pyro moves a few steps from the corner, allowing TNT room to get into the ring. The Irish Superstar climbs into the ring as Pyro exposes the Master of the Arm Bar’s ribs. TNT quickly delivers an uppercut to the exposed rib cage as Pyro climbs out of the ring. Like a well oiled machine TNT twists the arm of Proeliator and tags Pyro into the match again. Pyro climbs to the top rope and jumps into the air, curling his body up. Just before Pyro lands on top of Pro’s arm, Chris thrusts his legs downward, driving his feet right into the elbow joint of the Arm Bar Master. TNT releases the arm as Pro shakes it, trying to get feeling back into the limb. Pyro, not wanting to give up the opportunity slip away, grabs the wrist of the hurting limb and twists it again. Pro tries to reach Pyro’s face, but is quickly met with a sharp yank on his arm, sending a wave of pain through his arm, stopping Proeliator. Pyro runs to the ropes, keeping Pro with him, and jumps over the top rope with ease. Pyro keeps hold of the arm, ripping it down across the top rope, causing more damage. Pro falls to the mat, holding his arm as more and more damage is done to it. Pyro climbs into the ring and walks to Pro, who is trying to get to his partner and free himself from the punishment.
The Angelic Ninja steps down on Pyro’s out reaching arm, earning him a deadly look from Proeliator. Pyro then stomps down on the bad arm of the Pro, which is being held at his waist. Pyro grips the injured arm, and kneels down behind his opponent. Pyro interlaces his fingers with Pro, and places his knee against the already damaged elbow of the Pro. Pyro begins to pull on the limb, causing more excruciating pain for the Proeliator to fight through. Pyro relieves the pressure on Pro’s arm as the Ninja bends Pro’s arm towards his head. Pyro finally gets his arm to the mat, with the elbow pointing to the lights. Pyro stands to his feet, keeping on hand on the exposed elbow of Pro, not allowing him to stop his next move. Pyro jumps into the air, coming down with a stomp right to the elbow joint of Proeliator. Pyro looks at Proeliator who has started rolling away from him, crying out in pain as his limb is abused. Pyro looks behind him at Metal Dragon and gives a sick smile, to which MD gives him the one finger salute. Pyro turns around when he is met with a clothesline by Pro. Proeliator follows through, coming to the mat with Pyro. Pro quickly regrets the move, as he used his bad arm. Pyro looks to see that Pro is close to his partner and tags him in. Pyro gets to his feet when he is met with a boot from Metal Dragon. Pyro drops to the mat which MD quickly drops an elbow to Pyro’s chest. Pyro rolls away from MD and out of the ring to break the momentum. Pyro looks into the ring at MD who is challenging him to get back into the ring. Pyro keeps walking with MD exiting the ring himself.
Fuzz: I don’t know how smart it is for MD to follow Pyro out of the ring.
Big Al: I don’t think it’d matter, it shows how scared Pyro is.
Pyro rounds a corner, with the Metallic One following him. Just as MD rounds the corner, TNT jumps out, but is met with a clothesline from Metal Dragon. Pyro sees that his plan didn’t work and slides into the ring and waits for MD to return to the ring. Before he knew it, Pro got back into the ring and dropkicked in the back of the head. Once MD sees this, he gets back into the ring and stomps down on the back of Pyro’s head. Pyro tries to roll away from his attacker and recover, but MD doesn’t allow it as he grabs Pyro by the hair and lifts him to his feet. Pyro delivers a quick forearm shot to the neck of MD, but the Metallic Warrior responds with a very stiff European Uppercut that rocks Pyro to one knee. Pyro makes a huge mistake in going to MD’s corner, where Pro is standing, shaking his arm. Pro tags into the match as MD lifts Pyro by the waist, dropping down to one knee with an Inverted Atomic Drop. Pro quickly follows up with a boot to the back of the Angelic One’s head. Pyro falls to the mat, holding his neck in pain as Proeliator walks around to Pyro’s head. Proeliator grabs Pyro by the hair, lifting up the Circus member to a standing position. Pro grabs onto the right arm of Pyro, stretching the limb across his body. Pro quickly drops to his back, driving Pyro’s body to the mat and hyper extending Pyro’s shoulder. Pyro rolls away from the Master of the Arm Bar, to no avail as Pro keeps on top of the Ninja Fighty fighty person. Pyro gets out of the ring, close to where MD stood, which MD climbs off the apron and grabs the tights and hair of Pyro throwing him back in the ring to make sure Pyro doesn’t try to take another chance at a dirty advantage. Pyro is met with a similar kick to his arm from Pro, as he had given the same to Pro just a few minutes ago.
Fuzz: Looks like the Circus isn’t getting too lucky right now. They had the momentum at the start, but Highway Robbery looks to be taking control again.
Big Al: Well, this was a make shift tag team put together by Vortigern just moments ago so it isn’t much of a surprise for Pyro and TNT to not mesh well as a team.
TNT comes into the ring and spits into the face of MD, drawing the Metallic One into the ring before getting out himself. The ref gets distracted by the incoming MD that TNT goes to attack Pro, only to be met by a clothesline for his efforts as once again he is foiled. But the distraction by TNT and didn’t go to waste. As Pro goes to grab the head of Pyro, he is met with powder into his eyes, blinding Pro long enough to give himself time to escape and get to his corner. The ref turns around in time to see Pyro tag in TNT. Pro stumbles around a little bit before managing to reach his corner and tag in his tag team partner Metal Dragon. Pyro has a look of frustration across his face as he hoped TNT would have used the opening he made to his advantage. Metal Dragon and Taylor Nathan Thomas look at each other as the fresher men in the match prepare themselves and circle the ring.
