Hmmm... entrances counting towards the match?
There is no simple solution. Want to make your entrance count? How about we add something what I call, setting the mood... I often do this in the first paragraph of my first match post or in my entrance post if I go second.
This intro is basically setting the scene as to how the character is feeling, an insight into his mind and just giving a bit of a background to the match.
However, I agree that sometimes there's not enough time to write up an entrance and I generally do a copy and paste. However if someone does have the time, should they be allowed to add something to their entrance to give them the edge? I don't know, you decide.

With the whole time thing, once you've written one good entrance you can just go back and cut and paste it in your next match. I usually just cut and paste my entrance then add new commentary to set the scene and hype the match. And maybe change a few lines of the entrance if Skull is in a different mood for some reason. Like the stereotypical *Fighty fighty person walks the ring with a face like a slapped ass and ignores the fans cos they are MAD* angle. I think as long as someone has decent entrance that should go over a one line entrance in the judging but not be fully judged. Maybe it could just be judged on 'hype' or something not writing ability or anything else. Because in real life entrances are just there to hype the match. With that said, sometimes i just do a one line entrance so as not to hold up the match then edit it later, but that wouldn't really help Hayden's problem.
And maybe do the tale of the tape/description thing on the match cards, that would get people interested into rping the match because it would give a legitimate reason for the match and an angle going into it.

Don't count entrances in judging... just set up a compulsory rule that everyone in every match should write at least a certain amount of Ks, before their written match RP can be judged. SOLVED =D

Yeah...or you could just say that entrances should be more than "I walk to ring the end"

Its about the effort... If its obvious that one person is putting more into a match than the other, then it should count in the judging. PErhaps the quality of writing is poorer, but the person wants it more. Is there currently an "effort" section to the judging process. This would count the entrances and in ring performance.
As for having no time, thats a poor excuse. I am a teacher, juggling parents, marking and meetings. On top of that, I am a musician who runs music classes three nights a week... Most weeks, I don't eat a single meal in my own house. If you really want to do well in a match, you will find the time. Set up an entrance template, that you can pull up and edit to suit the match you are in in about 10 mins. Surely we all have ten minutes free during the week?

Well, it's evident by what people say in here and as displayed in matches that people do put PLENTY of effort into winning matches, even if they don't do the first post to the best of their ability. So if someones match posts are better than someone elses, then they'll still win...you said you don't care if they use copy/past entrances, how exactly does that display extra effort? Sure it helps round the matches off better and would be better if everyone did that, but in terms of judging, someone using a copy/paste entrance shouldn't put them over someone who puts "I walk to the ring".
We do have time to write we just don't want to waste what little time some of us have on entrances so we prefer to put up something quick then use the rest of the time we have at the computer doing match posts or promos which people actually read.

Basically, everyone needs to write a proper entrance, be it copypasta or genuine, every week.

So, you want us to put more effort into entrances and less into matches?

I'm pretty sure that's not what they're asking Reeves. How about we have until the TNT/LIVE after Code Blue to get full entrances. People who don't make long entrances every week LIKE ME (cause i hate doing that) can make a template with a few things that need to be changed weekly of course. Sound cool?

After some thought, I suppose a healthy entrance would file under "wrestling etiquette" -you know, like general sportsmanlike acts to benefit the show, your opponent, and yourself.
In a way, I'd compare it to taking care of your opponent in the ring, and being a safe worker to have a match with (in training/wrestling school).
Meh, just a thought.
