Sometime during this week’s TNT showing, the camera fades from a commercial to a well-lightened bowling alley. Standing side-by-side to each other, are the two new, bitter rivals; Alex Night and Owen Richards. Owen looks behind him, smiling then to the camera and begins speaking in a proud tone.
“Tonight, is the second round in the Real Man Challenge. Last week, I defeated Alex in his own, hand-picked challenge a Hot Dog Eating contest. This week, I‘ve picked a bowling contest. The one simple rule is first to a strike wins.”
“You‘re not going to win. Me and my family have entered plenty of bowling leagues in my youth, and have one plenty. Prepare to get your bowls squashed!”
Owen raises a suspicious eyebrow at Night’s choice of wording, but just turns around to his isle and Alex strides over to his. Both slide their fingers through the holes of the bowling balls. They step forward to the line that tells them they can’t go further. Whilst holding the over-sized balls to their chest, they both turn their heads face each other, examining each other’s form. Both turn away from each other at the same time. Owen pulls back his arm, and then unleashes the ball with a thrust forward. The ball seems to be quite on track, hastily going right down the center. At the last possible moment, the ball starts to slow and gets thrown to the side, knocking down only a few pins.
Alex cracks a smile, before throwing his ball down the waxed aisle. The ball speeds down the lane, right down the center. The balls action seems to mimic Owen’s and rolls over a little, still knocking down more pins than Richard has. Alex stomps down on the floor hard, his face filling with anger. He waits for the pins to e reassembled, then procures another ball. Not even bothering to pay attention, Alex tosses the ball down the lane, giving it a little bounce. The spectators are shocked, the ball manages to stay right down the middle all the way. Alex explodes into a cheer as he watches each and every pin fall down! Owen’s jaw drops, he cannot believe his eyes. Without any bitterness, he approaches Alex and offers out his hand, a true sign on sportsmanship.
“IN YOU‘RE FACE OWEN!!”
Alex lets out a high-pitched laugh and skips out of the view excitingly. Owen shakes his head, as the camera fades to blackness.
