Light Tube Cell Match
Vladimir Strife vs. Desperado
Winner & Advancing: Desperado
-Emotion and atmosphere was immense in this one, both participants really struck up how important this match was -not so much the H-Games, but the fact of who was in it. I enjoyed how this match progressed, as short as it was, but incredibly methodical and inspiring to see something like this again. Flow was perfect, never did I have to force myself to read, but when looking at the names in this match I'm not surprised. Desp, I found you had a really good start to this, and it escalated well. Same with you, Vlad, but the DKO/near fall was a little soon for my liking...but the tacks in the referee's hand was one DAMN clever spot. Had this match been expanded by another round of posts, and that spot been pulled until then, match over no questions asked. For the future, I'd book another chapter to this Desp/Strife conflict in a heatbeat, because I STILL remember the thumbtack match you two did 2-3 years ago. I feel it's important for those well-established, veterans, legends, should aim to inspire the younger classes like we had.
NOTE: THOSE LOOKING FOR POINTERS, READ THIS MATCH.
GHW Tag Team #1 Contendership
Three-Way Tag Match
-Winners face Psychotic Circus at Code Blue-
Kahlan Clarkson & Shawn Dreamer vs. The Corps (Chip Diddy & El Nacho Grande) vs. Big Mighty Ltd.
Winners and #1 Tag Team Contenders: Kahlan Clarkson & Shawn Dreamer
- Really solid match, this elevated my opinion of all three teams and we all seemed to benefit from it. Would've preferred to see the SuperduperNova in a Code Blue match...but I was somewhat inspired by all that fanfare. As for the breakdown at the end, fair enough to question what goes down during the match, but I wished it didn't halt it's progress. Regardless, I'm pleased with you all. Kahlan & Shawn showed some good double-team fluidity and that stuck out to me the most, but to give credit where credit is due, there's nothing like whipping cheese powder as a heel tactic.
Note: I'd really like to see a Millson/Reeves team in the future, I feel that it would really give Millson a constant guy to play off of in the ring -and should really draw some attention.
Tag Match
Dominik Santiago & Santo Mascaras vs. Magnus Gunner & Chris Pyro
No Contest
-Boooooooooooooooooooo.
MAIN EVENT: GHW King of the Deathmatch Championship
Spiderweb Match
Matt Violence vs. James Walker
Winner, Advancing, and GHW King of the Deathmatch Champion(s): James & Thomas Walker
- Holy crap this was an all-out-brawl. Possibly the BEST material I've seen from the Matt Violence side, combined with the dastardly tactics of Team Roadkill, it hit the sweet spot as far as brutality goes (I hadn't thought "What the fuck, how is that possible" during the entire read). I felt that both James and Matt had really compelling material, very entertaining, yet my one gut feeling is that with Thomas in the match as well- should've resulted in a bit less offense by Violence -as he's a bit of a smaller guy in comparison, and a bit shorthanded on the double-team. I noticed a few errors with Matt's writing here and there, not so much grammatical, but things that seemed to contradict or confuse a tad. In all, weighing weaknesses, strengths, a 48-hour rule; it's rather difficult to not so much hand somebody a loss, but more reward somebody a victory. I'm going to go with a successful defense for the Walkers, but Violence deserves it as a doubleteam screwjob loss like that of Hayden in round one. Matt, don't feel down that you didn't get it this time around, you impressed the hell out of me and I have a reward for you come Code Blue. I have a sensation that your glass ceiling is starting to crack and give way. Great match, a pleasure to read.
THE NIGHT IN SUMMARY:
- Kahlan/Shawn earn title shot at Psychotic Circus
- Breakout star Dustin Delta will face Reeves for the belt on Sunday
- Matt Violence/Thomas Walker wreck house
- Strife/Desperado put on psychology clinic
- Your H-Games championship match: Walker vs. Desperado vs. Darth
