The stage is set for the main event, with the lights shining bright and every person in attendance finding their seats once more, as to not mis a single second of the action. Those out on the concourse have managed to find their way back into the arena. With the hype of the HardKore/Diamond rematch causing much chatter and conversation, especially with the Career versus Title stipulation being in place on the match. One way or another, one of these men will be leaving the arena dejected and distraught. As the murmuring and predictions begin swirling around the arena, the thoughts are cut of as both the PA System and Titan Tron flicker into life simultaneously. Through the speakers, a rousing drum blasts out, capturing the attention of all in the arena. As it does so, the Titan Tron is set awash with a white light. As the echo of the drum falls into the background ambiance, the white screen fades, leaving a single word in the center of the screen in its place "Diamond"With the second drum beat, the screen once again fills up with a white light. This time, when it fades, it leaves a second name. "HardKore" As the dramatic music begins to take shape, words once again scroll onto the screen. Like the calm before the storm, the music builds and builds, with the words scrolling across the screen telling the story of the two bitter rivals. "One Championship... Two Champions."
"Two men ready to take it all. The stakes get no higher, the cost does not get any greater."At a momentary pause in the music, the scrolling words on the screen fade out, leaving the Titan Tron in black. When the music erupts once more, complete with full orchestra and choir to accompany the dramatic scene, images of Jake Diamond fill the screen, showing the man first pinning the Jackass to claim the title, then cutting to a shot of the man hoisting the title high above his head in victory. As the shots continue to flick over, it shows Diamond in a number of poses, and executing a number of devastating moves. The scenes flick over faster and faster until they become a whirlwind of Diamond's "Double Gun" poses and "Second City Sleep" shots, changing so rapidly that they all seem to blend in together. Eventually, The scene begins to fade out, with words superimposing themselves over the top of the action. "Jake Diamond- The Champion"When the scene picks itself up again, it shows a different collection of images. Hayden HardKore stands in the center of the ring, a title across both shoulders and a smile on his face. What follows is an ambivalent collection of images, showing Hayden's many highs and lows of the past few months. He stands in victory, Levi Storm at his side. No sooner had the triumphant image come up onto the screen, then it is replaced by the same shot of Jake Diamond pinning him to claim his title. Eventually, the mood fades, showing Hayden sitting alone in a dimply lit room, his head in his hands, broken and devastated. As the image fills the screen, words once again superimpose themselves over the top of the action. "Hayden HardKore- The Ultimate Ultimatum"As the words begin to fade out, the scene turns once more, to capture some of the hype for the much anticipated match. Hayden's voice is first to boom out over the top of the music, capturing the exact moment that this match turned into his worst nightmare. He stands facing his rival, Jake Diamond, in the ring. As he utters the words, the music seems to capture the drama of what he is saying. " If I should loose at Total Carnage, then Hayden HardKore retires... For good." The last two words echo over and over, as if ensuring that they are noticed above all else. Hayden's dramatic announcement is soon replaced with Jake Diamond's psychological mind-games. He stands in a dimply lit room, his face filling the screen as he explains his twisted thoughts. "It all starts with one idea, one very simple idea no matter how small or insignificant...I laid that idea gently in your head, I said that if you truly loved this business you would turn around and walk away and leave it all behind." His face seems to smile at the camera as the next phrase leaves his lips. It is almost as if he is living the very moment that he talks about as he says it. "At Total Carnage I will retain my New Age championship and, in the same swift motion, end the career of the man who shaped it..." A third scene soon swoop over the end of the second, showing Hayden's turmoil at Jake Diamond's words. He sits on a couch, talking on the phone. Worry and sleep deprivation fill his face, and the Jackass is sweating profusely as if he had just had a bad dream. Hayden simply states... "It's, different this time... Different because I think... I think he's right." The camera zooms up on Hayden's face as he utters the climactic words that had led to his state of worry and devastation. "Doc... I can't beat him. He's better than me." As the pre-match promo comes to its dramatic conclusion, the final words of each of the competitors are uttered. First, Hayden's voice is uttered. As he speaks, the screen is plunged into blackness. Each word that he utters is displayed on the screen as he says it, leaving a lasting impression in everybody's minds as the words trickle down into both visual and auditory memory. his voice is strong, yet somewhat shaky, as if he knows what he wants to say but still doesn't want to say it. "Maybe it is time for Ol' Yeller to hang up the boots... Maybe this is the end of Hayden HardKore." As the words accompanying his statement fade out, Jake Diamond's ending phrase is captured on the screen, just as Hayden's had been earlier. He speaks with a cocky brashness and confidence that shows he has already considered the outcome of the match in his favour. "This is the end of the road Hayden, you know it and I know it. What's worse is that we both know why... Because I was born better... Than... You!" The words BORN BETTER THAN YOU seem to hang around in the air longer than the others. The dramatic music comes to a climax just as Jake finished his anger filled rant. His words echo out over the now sombre and quiet ambient sounds. Once again, words fill the screen, tying the promo up into twelve simple words. "Two Champions- One Championship... Two words to end it all...
I QUIT"With the twelve words still on the screen, the arena is once again plunged into silence. The crowd, sensing that history will be made tonight, erupt into cheering at the dramatic opening of the main event. The silence lasts for a few tense moments, the words still displayed on the Titan Tron for the entire time. The air is tense with anticipation, wonder and prediction. There is an elephant in the room, sitting clearly in the corner. The one question on everybody's mind remains... Is this the end of Hayden HardKore? As the question repeats itself in people's minds, the only song befitting the moment erupts from the PA System. The easily recognisable tune, depicting the arrival of the New Zealand Legend blares itself from the PA System. As Hayden's video takes over the Titan Tron, forcing the haunting words from the screen, CKY's "96 Quite Bitter Beings" blasts itself from the arena speakers. The song plays well into the verse before any sign of life is seen from the entrance ramp. The crowd, rallying behind their favourite hero, rise to their feet, each person eager to welcome the Jackass to the arena for perhaps the last time. Not a person remains in their seats as Hayden's figure appears against the backdrop, the man receiving a much larger reception now than he had earlier in the night. It is only now that the impact of his decision seems to his people. The shadowy outline of the Jackass is illuminated against the Total Carnage Backdrop, along with a second, more feminine figure. In time with the music, Hayden steps into the light, taking large steps as if walking through mud. When he reaches the front of the stage, he blows a single kiss to each side of the arena. His face is emotional, even with half of it being hidden by his aviator sunglasses. He looks down to his home, the squared circle for what could possibly be the last time in his career. Shaking his head solemnly, Hayden takes off ever so slowly, Wolverina at his side. It takes the man an age to reach the ring, stopping to shake the hands of nearly every person on the side of the entrance ramp. He takes off his aviators and plants them on the face of an especially energetic fan at ringside, showing eyes that seem to twinkle in the soft lighting. With one side of the entrance ramp completed, Hayden takes the time to greet the fans along the right hand side of the ramp, going about the entire scene again, ensuring that he does not miss anybody. The song plays itself almost right to the end before Hayden rolls into the ring, Charlie Coors holding off his usual announcement until the Future Hall of Famer is at his side. "Ladies and Gentlemen... This is your Main Event!
The following is an I-Quit Match, for the GHW New Age Championship. The only way to win is to get your opponent to utter the words "I-Quit.
Introducing first... Putting his career on the line tonight. If he looses, he retires. Hailing from Wellington, New Zealand and weighing in at One Hundred and Eighty Nine Pounds.
He is a former Two Time GHW Undisputed Champion, the most decorated competitor in GHW History. The man known as the Jackass... Hayden Hard-Kore!" With the read out of his name, the vocal crowd seem to erupt into a new level. Hayden flashes a feeble grin at his partner, Wolverina, who stands in his corner. The pair embrace for a short time, an emotional embrace, full of unanswered question, before Wolverina takes to ringside, leaving Hayden alone in the ring. Like a true veteran, he goes about his pre-match warm-up in anticipation of Diamond's arrival, not letting the situation take over psychologically. He looks calm and collected despite his make or break position. "Hayden HardKore has been at the top of his game for almost a decade now. He has been with GHW from the start and won just about every title there is to win.
There comes a time when every person must hang it up though, and perhaps, tonight might just be that night."
"I thought that night would have been months, maybe even years ago Matt. Hayden has really been riding out the train for as long as he can, holding onto his past accomplishments. He is a Has-Been... and has been for years now."
"Are you high? Not two months ago, Hayden won both the King of the Deathmatch Championships and New Age Titles simultaneously. That is not living in the past. Nobody else in this business has done that twice in their career, not even you Oliviera... Not even Vladimir Strife, dare I utter his name."
"I don't dispute that this guy is a living legend. But Jake Diamond, in the peak of his career, putting it all on the line. That's a pretty steep ask for the Jackass.
You may be interested to know though Fuzz... Hayden HardKore, in his long career, has not once changed his entrance theme. He comes out today, in what could be the last match of his career, to the same music he stepped out of the curtain to all those years ago."
"Now that is interesting, but I still don't think this is going to be the end for Hayden HardKore" Hayden continues his pre-match warm-up, patiently awaiting the arrival of Jake Diamond and the start of the much anticipated match. TBC JD

Jake Diamond's Contract
Tying on his boots backstage, Jake merely stares forward at the New Age championship that sits directly in front of him on a crate. His expression mirrors that of every other blood fued the pinnacle of his career balanced on; cold and remorseless. He seemed as though he was deep in thought, his conscious blind, morals dead, but really tonight would boil down to spontaneous inhibition and the fact that Hayden's career rested in his hands. Even as Beast's hand lowers onto his shoulder Jake almost didn't realize it, it all felt like a fantasy world around him. Jake Diamond: “You're staying. Both of you.”He didn't remove his eyes from the wall for even a second. Beast and Kabul try to exchange words but, as per usual, Jake Diamond makes sure he gets the only word in. JD: “I have to deal with this myself. Amanda will be at ringside to neutralize Wolverina but Hayden is left for me.”Trying to understand, the two massive behemoths simple stare at their leader, trusting his every word like usual. Grabbing the New Age championship and swinging it over his right shoulder, Jake gestures for Amanda, holding his Tag team title, to follow along. In black and red wrestling attire with a matching vest, Jake begins to move out from the backstage area ready for a fight he couldn't even imagine. “Oh... And Amanda. You're eye candy. That's it, that's all. Haven is your target. If either of you interfere his won't be the only career I end...” Trailing off from camera view the champion makes his walk towards the entrance tunnel from the back. Watching on the titantron from in the ring, Hayden can't help but think the same words yet, knowing Jake, he can't count the fact that the champion was willing to end his career. By any means necessary. He was well aware he would have the fan's backing tonight but, somehow, none of it mattered. Jake Diamond was the master of emotional warfare and he was in his head. There was only one way of removing that cancerous leech, it would be by breaking the Diamond. Also watching from ringside, Wolverina heard the words loud and clear but she owed Jake for beating her down in the ring, and she was looking for blood too. Suddenly the arena lights black out with the exception of the few stationed around the entrance tunnel which begin to flash in unison to the opening guitar riff. The fans now begin to lay claim to their hatred, bombarding the arena with simultaneous “Let's Go Hay-den!” and “You Suck, Jake!” while the entrance tunnel becomes surrounded with a shower of sparks. In yet another rare occurrence, Jake Diamond's silhouette emerges behind the sparks only backed by another daintier image. Tonight he was waging the battle all by himself. Charlie Coors: “And introducing the champion...””Look in my eyes! What do you see? The Cult of Personality...” On cue, shooting out like a cannon ball, emerges none other than Jake Diamond. In contrast to his usual enigmatic smile the man's face reads a much more simpler fate as the self proclaimed Future pauses on the entrance ramp, arms lowered by his hips and head cocked forward, peering out at the divided audience. Appearing just behind him is none other than his chosen valet for the match, Amanda Brooks, with Jake's tag team strap hung over her shoulder as the champ holds his most prized possession close to him. Wearing his long black and red wrestling pants with numerous designs and insignias with a matching vest, Jake looks prepared for battle, not because of his attire but his cold glare, the emerald eyes of a calculating machine. Not dropping back and egging on the audience with his signature crucifix pose, the Savior is more interested in the man in the ring, the Native New Zealander and simply begins to strut towards him while Charlie Coors reads off his introduction CC: “He hails from 'The Second City,' Chicago, Illinois and weighs in tonight at two hundred and twenty five pounds... He is the leader of The Templar and represents one-third of the GHW Tag Team championship... He is your New Age champion, The 'Head Hunter,' JAKE! DIAMOND!”Normally at the sound of his name Jake immediately goes bursts forward in a charismatic burst but he didn't seem to interested in it tonight. Walking down the ramp the New Age champion ignores the onslaught of hated fans to either side of him, knowing after he retires Hayden tonight they would become his fan's by force. Even the thought of it put a bitter taste in the Future's mouth, even going so far as to try and spit it out. Al Mulligan: “Here is the New Age champion, the man who has taken down absolutely everyone and thing in his path. Name the name and Jake Diamond has pushed the envelope and tonight. Tonight's going to be no different.” Colin Jennings: “You know, you're really pushing your envelope too! Hayden Hardkore is the pinnacle and epitome of everything Jake Diamond has ever wanted or will do in his career. Without Hayden Hardkore, there would be no Jake Diamond.”Matthew Oliviera: “That's probably the scariest fact. The worst part about it is that Jake has spent his career coming out of his trainers shadows. He debuted at the same time as Vladimir Strife, their careers have almost been eclipsed, both under the reigns of Kingbear.
Jake's goal has always been to be the best-” AM: “And he is the best! Look at him! He's got far more of a pure wrestling background than almost anyone to ever step into this building but he has that extra kick...” MO: “His strongest point has always been his psychological warfare. He's a smart man, scary smart. He has the potential to solve world hunger but he's too busy building hydrogen bombs. The key difference between Jake and Hayden is Jake Diamond doesn't care.” CJ: “Hayden has spent his life giving himself to these fans and has asked for nothing in return. On the other side of the coin, Jake Diamond just wants to watch the world burn. He doesn't care if he retires the best of all time; the Head Hunter just won't stop until everyone is dead.”In complete contrast to Hayden's open affection towards Wolverina, Jake Diamond seems almost unaware that Amanda is standing right beside him. Not removing his eyes off of his opponent for a second, Jake slides into the ring under the bottom rope and bolts forward. Expecting the surprise attack, Hayden holds his ground but, thankfully, the referee wedges himself in between both of them. Ordering the champion off, Jake finally cracks a smile sending yet another subtle message of implicated dominance to his smaller opponent. Raising the New Age championship high into the air the Savior makes sure that Hayden soaks in the fact that not only is this his last chance to regain his championship but his last chance to topple Jake Diamond. Handing off his title to the referee and quickly throwing down his vest, he wanted to get this match started and tonight he was going to show the haters exactly why he always said he was born better. In the back of his mind, the thoughts of retirement lurk around like a giant white elephant in the room, and it dawns on Hayden that Jake Diamond didn't deserve to end it. Tonight Jake Diamond and Hayden Hardkore would finally allow their score to be settled one-on-one, and both knew they weren't going to be the ones to scream “I Quit”. TBCB: Hayden {Writer's notes: Best of luck Hayden. I look forward to every sentence and second of this.}

When the bell finally tolls, the lingering tones seem to hang in the air as if caught by a giant dream catcher. The three sharp dings chilling the bone of the Jackass as he realises that the match is upon him. The pair begin somewhat slowly, respecting each other's abilities in some bizarre square dance. Short of circling around each other, Jake and Hayden approach their opponent cautiously, like a lion stalking its prey in the wild. A hand would be outstretched then snapped away at the last minute, each bating the other on, daring him to make the first move. The Kiwi Legend, knowing that a Battle of Strength with his opponent would be an unwise decision, cracks first and fires a kick toward Diamond's mid-riff. Jake, half expecting the shot, easily catches the foot and flings his opponent backward with a single thrust. He expects Hayden to flip over backward and land on his face, but the wily veteran remains one step ahead, completing the flip in mid air but landing on his feet instead. The Jackass lands in a three point stance, crouched and ready to spring at his opponent once more. This time, Jake can do little to brush off the advancing Jackass, who springs forward and drives his shoulder into Diamond's guts. Jake is taken off his feet and the pair land in a ball of fury on the mat. Instantly, fists and feet begin flying, as each man tries to beat the snot out of the other. Throwing caution to the wind and betraying any sense of self preservation whatsoever, both Hayden and Jake soon manage to sneak in a number of well timed and well placed shots about the head, until the furious ball of fists inevitably begins to slow. When the dust settles, it is Diamond who comes out clutching at the Jackass, having landed three heavy right fists in succession. He drags Hayden up onto his knees as the "Head Hunter" himself takes to his feet. Jake softens his lightweight opponent up with two stiff knees to the side of the head, before hoisting him to his feet in a Half Nelson hold. Hayden does his best to fight back, but his grogginess slows his reactions down and before he knows it, the Kiwi is flung into the air, launched over Jake's hips in a 'Half Nelson Suplex'. The Kiwi, although quick to start, lands awkwardly on the mat, the wind gone from his sails and his body seeming to deflate somewhat with each breath. "Jake Diamond is a technically sound Fighty fighty person, whereas Hayden has always seemed to rely on his speed and momentum. If Diamond can keep the Jackass in his grasp, then victory is surely his."
"Easier said than done Oliviera... Hayden is a slippery bugger at the best of times, but couple that with a potential retirement, and Hayden is not going to go down easily tonight."
"I don't doubt that. Hayden is going to be harder to kill than a cockroach tonight. But the think about cockroaches is, you can squash them with a well timed boot and some evil intent"
"Oh, wow, that's nice... Very poetic." On the outside of the ring, Amanda Brooks sings out her praise to Diamond, only to be shot a glare that could melt ice by Hayden's flame, Wolverina across the ring. With a smirk on her face, Brooks dips below the level of the mat and begins fishing around under the ring, undoubtedly for a weapon that would make Diamond's job all the more easier. As she continues to search for the perfect weapon, The "Head Hunter" himself continues to go about his work uninterrupted. He does not let Hayden rest, hoisting him up to his feet once more with another couple of knee strikes to keep the Jackass woozy. With the ease of lifting a much lighter opponent, Diamond fires Hayden into the air, lifting him vertically into a Brainbuster. To let the blood rush to the Kiwi's head, Diamond holds his opponent in place for a number of seconds, taking the time to fire of a cocky "Double Gun" symbol, winking to the fans at ringside while they hurl insults back at him. When he is ready, Diamond flings his opponent back down toward the earth, catching him about the head and driving Hayden skull first into the canvas with a bone chilling 'Brainbuster DDT'. As Hayden's head bounces off the canvas, his eyes rolling back into his head even before he had come completely to a rest, Jake simply dusts his shoulder off, as if it was not big deal for him. With a swagger that only confidence can buy, the "Savior" saunters his way back over to the downed HardKore, grabbing Hayden by his pretty-boy haircut and wrenching him to his feet once again. This time he does not need the knee strikes to keep Hayden in a state of drunken grogginess, with the New Zealander looking quite capable of that himself. Hayden swipes a feeble swipe at Diamond, not even coming close to connecting before Jake flings the Kiwi's arm over his shoulder. Looking left and right, as to soak up the livid atmosphere around the arena, Diamond hooks Hayden's leg and wrenches him upward in a Fisherman's Suplex. He fires Hayden into the air, releasing him half-way through the move to let Hayden soar across the ring. Instead of connecting with the canvas this time, the New Zealand native crashes into the waiting turnbuckle, tangling his left leg in the steel and ring ropes. Diamond smirks at his handiwork, watching as Brooks nears the trapped Hayden HardKore, licking her chops with a smile on her face and a Kendo Stick in her hand. "This is not even a contest so far. Hayden is yet to so much as even hurt Jake Diamond, and the Savior of GHW is destroying the much loved Jackass."
"I believe that what we are seeing is the death of Hayden HardKore. Jake Diamond will not let up until he hears those two words come out of Hayden's mouth."
"I Quit!"
"Well yes, Hayden really has to turn the tables somehow, or this is going to be a rather shot last match for the Jackass!
He came into this believing that he could NOT beat Jake Diamond. And that is exactly what we are seeing so far, a man who believes he is not going to win." **Crack** The sound of the Kendo stick connecting with Hayden's kneecap echoes out through the first ten rows of the arena. As the crowd echo a collective gasp, Amanda Brooks raises the stick for a second strike. Jake looks on, content and smiling at Amanda's quick thinking. Hayden, turning his attention to the new epicenter of pain, brings both hands up to cover his knee, hoping that the damage caused by the Kendo Stick does not hinder him too much. As Amanda goes about swinging the stick for a second time, she meets a wall of resistance. Having seen enough foul play, Wolverina had skunked her way around the ring and managed to grab a hold of the free end of the Kendo Stick, just as Brooks was about to target Hayden's knee for a second time. With a shriek, Haven pulls at the stick, freeing it from the clutches of Amanda Brooks. When Brooks turns around to see what had interrupted her fun, she is met with a face full of her own Kendo Stick, courtesy of Wolverina. Brooks falls to the ground, clutching her face and Wolverina shoulders the Kendo Stick like a baseball bat, shooting a worried glance toward the agony riddled Hayden, still trapped in the corner. Hayden is not trapped in the corner for long though. Jake Diamond is nice enough to help him to his feet, even if it is to simply throw him back into the turnbuckle again. Hayden manages to stop himself from falling to the ground, using the top ropes on either side of the corner for support. With his opponent still trying to remember what week it is, Jake Diamond backs up across the ring. Stomping his foot like a rampaging bull, the "Head Hunter" does his best to live up to his nick-name, lining his knee up with Hayden's temple. He charges at the Kiwi, taking to the air as he steps off Hayden's lowered knee. Diamond twists his body around, lining up a Shining Wizard that looks to send Hayden into his own little dreamworld, but the fight of the veteran New Zealander suddenly becomes apparent. Through eyes filled with pain, both physical and emotional, Hayden grits his teeth. With both hands, the Kiwi grabs at Diamond's throat, catching him in mid air. Hayden pushes forward with his thumbs lodged deep in Jake's throat, restricting his esophagus. He stops the "Head Hunter" dead in his tracks, driving him to the canvas with both arms. A look of relief fills the face of the Jackass, glad to be finally rid of the onslaught of the New Age Champion. "Just like I have always said. You simply cannot count the Jackass out. He will stomp over any opportunity he gets."
"Just when you think this is going to be a short night... Bam! Double Armed Chokeslam to really throw the cat among the pigeons."
"Don't think I missed that look of absolute relief fill his face though guys. Hayden knew as well as we did. If that Shining Wizard had connected, then this would be a very, very different story."
"And now, can the future Hall-of-Famer capitalise on his slim opening or has the damage already been done?" This time it is Hayden's turn to do his worst, and he sets about turning the tables on his opponent almost instantly. Not wasting any time in reveling over his battered body, the Kiwi wrenches Diamond to his feet, grabbing him by the wrist to assist. Looking to pick the pace of the match up to more of a pace that suits his style, Hayden flings Diamond toward the ropes in an Irish Whip. As he sets Diamond in motion, the Kiwi charges off toward the ropes opposite. Both men rebound at relatively the same speed, and come hurtling back at each other like a game of chicken that one can tell will not end well. Hayden puts his head down the closer he gets, and as soon as he is within range, he hurls himself forward at Jake, nearly cutting the "Head Hunter" in half with a Spear. As a collection of phloem and spittle leave Jake's mouth at the abrupt stop, Hayden completes the Spear tackle by driving into the canvas with his shoulder. Jake wheezes as he breathes, badly winded from the brutal Running Spear Tackle. However, Hayden is not quite done with his opponent yet. He does not even take the time to stand properly before heading off to his next direction. Before anybody can blink a single eyelid, Hayden is on the ring apron, looking back in toward the ring and his winded opponent. Hayden makes a familiar symbol across his chest of the Catholic Cross, not seen since his days as Santo Masceras, before hurling himself up onto the top rope. He takes but a moment to catch his balance before hurling himself into the ring at his opponent. As he flies, Hayden tucks his legs into a Shooting Star Press, rotating around in the air so that he lands squarely across the chest of the "Savior". The crowd, in awe of the old man's aerial ability, athleticism and balance, take to their feet once more, rallying behind their favourite Jackass in the hopes it might spur him on to regaining his New Age title. "Well, Hayden still has it."
"Not only does Hayden pull off an aerialistic display like a Shooting Star Press... He does it while balancing atop the top rope. Not even from the turnbuckle."
"We have speed and break-neck offense versus technical ability and neck-breaking offense. It is fighting fire with a different kind of fire tonight. This match is long, long overdue."
"And finally, it is beginning to actually look like a match too!" TBC JD

Post by Jake Diamond/Pavor Nocturnus on Mar 19, 2011 23:28:54 GMT -5
Tilting back on his knees from his prone position on Jake, Hayden grabs onto his ribs with his left hand and raises a triumphant right fist into the air. This was more than a battle between a battle weary veteran and an ignorant champion and, as the fan's jump to their feet and drown out every outside sound with the chants of “Hay-den!”, the challenger wasn't willing to make his last match a loss to the self righteous Templar leader. Breathing heavily Hayden knew far too well that making this match a battle in the air wouldn't benefit him, surprising for a man just under the age of thirty and still obviously in his prime, but feeling the rush of entitlement and pride it gave him he didn't much care. Catching a look to the outside of the ring with Jake's previous mistress and now one of his own, Wolverina, Hayden gives her a charismatic smile and wink, one with the flash of her former fling.
Raising an arm up from off the canvas the thought of quitting doesn't even begin to form in the back of the mind of the New Age champion only the engulfing sensation of his ribs trying to eat his stomach following the shooting star press. Lifting his head up as well, Jake expects to be given the opportunity to come up to his feet but obviously under estimates his counterpart as Hayden quickly bounces back off the ropes and drops a snap dropkick into Jake Diamond's face. Holding onto his precious “money maker” as he personally likes to refer to it, Jake falls onto his back and cowers away hoping to avoid further punishment to his Adonis like face but, unfortunately for him, the former King of the Deathmatch has other plans for him. Dropping down onto his back and rolling out of the ring under the bottom ropes, the always prepared challenger looks both ways like a child crossing the street to make sure that the psychotic Amanda Brooks is nowhere to be found before grabbing the ring skirt and throwing it up onto the apron.
“One thing I find strange is how Hayden isn't even drifting from his aerialist ways to take out Jake... His sticking to the same game plan as usual.”
“And why wouldn't he? It's worked for him for so long now, I really can't see him changing it up too much, however he's really got to stay on top of Jake if he wants to go that route...”
“Jake's too physical for him! Sure a nice shooting star press could surprise you but it's not enough to make the man quit! What he's getting on the outside there had better be important...”
“I think there's one thing that so many people underestimate in Hayden and that's his aggression. He's a numerous time King of the Deathmatch afterall!”
Catching eyes with the Fighty fighty person's favourite foreign object like a recent divorcee with a woman across the bar, Hayden's eyes light up to the sight of a steel chair resting underneath the ring practically waiting for him. Grabbing onto the legs of it the Kiwi decides to put it on display for an appropriate response from the audience, raising high the black coated steel chair into the air. At the possibility of seeing public enemy number one's face being caved in with the steel chair the fans in attendance, once again, begin to cheer loudly in favour of the native New Zealander as he tightens it in his clutches. However, with his ears perking up at the out of place cheers, Jake Diamond becomes aware that something is up raising his head up just in time to come to glimpse with the former undisputed champion's emphatic pose. Quickly rolling onto his back the self proclaimed Head Hunter triggers himself into defense just as Hayden redirects his attentions.
Sliding back into the ring underneath the bottom rope, the Fighty fighty person formerly known as Santo Masceras cocks back his weapon of choice but sees Jake propped up in a rather different position than earlier. On both knees the sneaky and underhanded champion raises his hands up in protest, demanding that Hayden Hardkore decides to not strike him with the chair. Hayden, clearly waiting for a moment like this for a while now, shakes his head to the champion and takes another step towards him before the man in question changes his hand gesture into that of a “T,” basically calling a time out. Actually letting out a laugh, relatively amused by his seasoned enemy's manipulative tactics, Hayden takes another step forward, just one swing away from silencing the Chi Town loud mouth before Jake decides to capitalize. Rolling onto his back, as if going for a quick kip-up, Jake brings his knees to his chest before Hayden can actually swing and kicks his feet forward into the cruiser weight's shins. Dropping the chair back, the Jackass falls for the champion's distraction, nearly buckling under his own weight from the collision to his shins. Knowing he needs to react fast Jake Diamond scrambles back and up to his feet before practically lunging past Hayden, aiming for the steel chair, but the sprawl allows Hayden to react.
Falling backwards into the same direction as Jake, Hayden makes it become an all out scrap for possession of the steel chair. Out stretching his arms, reaching forward desperately, Jake comes close to getting it in his grasps but as soon as Hayden's weight falls down on top of him the chase becomes moot. Swinging up an elbow, the New Age champion doesn't let up, like a classic police movie where the bad guy and good guy wrestle over the only gun. Clasping both of his hands together the Jackass hammers his fists into the Head Hunter's back. Feeling the Second City Savior let up after the strike the challenger hammers in the fists two more times, beating the life out of the Chicago, Illinois native. With the champion breathing heavily under his weight, Hayden takes a moment to rest before looking over at the chair and getting an idea.
“The one thing Jake Diamond is so ignorantly forgetting about Hayden is he's seen everything! A dirty punch to the throat or eye claw is expected from the champion.”
“And how messed up is that, that our champion relies on cheap shots and interference to keep the title! Absolutely disgusting! If Jake comes out of this without saying I Quit I've lost all respect for this business.”
“But he won't quit so go ahead and take your little hopes and dreams there and put them with Hayden's and defenestrate them. Defenestrate them good!”
“How long have you been wanting to say that on air? Regardless, Jake Diamond is in a vulnerable situation right here and I'll die happy seeing this piece of shit get what he deserves.”
Rolling off of the crafty Cult of Personality, the New Zealander decides to give his opponent a taste of his own medicine and load the target directly onto his head. Pushing himself up to his feet and, this time, not wasting time to get a reaction from the fans Hayden grabs the hunched over Diamond in a front face lock with his left arm. Grabbing the top of Jake's tights with his free hand, Hayden tries to pull his reluctant opponent up but Jake's weight proves to be too much. With all of his might the Kiwi gives another strong pull positioning the champion's head directly over top of the steel chair. Still unable to full pull the man up to his feet the thought doesn't exactly phase Hayden, just looking to neutralize Jake somehow, even with a less than stellar DDT. Breathing heavily, Hayden Hardkore shines a small smile before raising his right hand high into the air. The thoughts of Jake hunched over a steel chair over than the fact of exhaustion is the only one that passes through the Jackass's mind, yet he learns a quick lesson the hard way what exactly Jake's primary instinct.
Jake Diamond had the steel chair. Clenching the legs of the chair so tightly his hands begin to grow white, a proverbial switch flips turning him from the weaselly and underhanded Future into the ruthless and blood thirsty Head Hunter. Before Hayden has a chance to drive Jake down into the steel chair he swings it back over his head and, with a violent slap, connects directly into the former Undisputed champion's left shoulder. Unable to do anything else Hayden's arm becomes instantly limp releasing the front face lock and allowing Jake to jump out, steel chair in hand. Not letting up for a second Jake connects with yet another chair strike to the back of Hayden's shoulder causing the man to drop down to both knees. While the sound of steel on muscle is just beginning to resonate throughout the arena Jake Diamond unloads another strike into the back left shoulder blade of Hayden knocking him face first onto the canvas. Lowering the steel chair, Jake points at the referee to check on the challenger, his bright emerald eyes burning a hole through anything it comes into contact with. Just as the referee approaches to question Hayden, Jake Diamond decides to take matters into his own hands. Bringing back the dented chair, the New Age Champion bellows aloud while colliding down against the left shoulder blade once again. ”GIVE UP, HAYDEN!”, the words loudly engulf the arena sounding like harmonic lyrics in tune with the beautiful background music of the New Zealander's arm being broken into submission.
“Jesus Christ! Jake is going to break Hayden's arm! God damn, with that left arm out of commission the Southpaw is going to be neutralized!”
“Not only that but remember, Jake Diamond is left handed too. That's the side of the body he attacks when going for that Diamond Clutch, he's got it in the bank!”
“If there's anything I learned it's never trust him with a steel chair and look at him unload! Jake is a maniac through and through and he won't stop until that shoulder shatters!”
“Speaking of shattering is the Champ going where I think he's going... Hayden's arm is wrapped up in that steel chair, Jake is going to end Old Yeller in style!”
Throwing down the steel chair, Jake brings his hands up and nonchalantly brushes his shaggy brown mop back rather nonchalantly as if he hadn't just unloaded on Hayden's shoulder. Despite the downpour of boos from the audience a sudden spark ignites in Jake's smirk, a clearly despicable idea forming into his mind. Bending over, the Head Hunter grabs the dropped steel chair and opens it up before grabbing onto the left hand of the New Zealander. The few fan's who actually know what's going on become unglued, clearly upset at Jake's possible chance of doing what he promised and expertly end the career of Hayden Hardkore. Wrapping the steel chair around Hayden's arm by pulling the left hand through the opening of the chair, the seat lying against the canvas and the back wedged on top of the shoulder, Jake doesn't even mock his opponent, merely dropping the dead weight to the canvas. With the arm trapped in place, Jake tosses his hair back before turning his attention to the nearby turnbuckle; if he was going to take out Hayden and his powerful left hand, he'd do it in style. Checking over his shoulder to make sure that the Jackass stayed in place in ring, Jake immediately climbed through the top and middle ropes before beginning his ascension up the turnbuckle.

Diamond climbs as Hayden lies about the ring, almost in the center of the canvas. The Jackass does not seem the fathom the immediate danger as his opponent reaches the heights of the turnbuckle. With a look of both seriousness and mercilessness on his face, the Head Hunter double checks his bearings, ensuring that the Kiwi is still lying where he had left him. Satisfied, Jake takes a deep breath as he leaps into the air. The steel chair, still wrapped around the left arm of the Southpaw Jackass, is a clear and obvious target for the New Age Champion. Diamond makes no bones about his destination, his eyes trained on the chair as he lines up the target. Only when he had taken the leap of faith in jumping off the turnbuckle, does the Head Hunter momentarily take his eyes off the chair. Hayden, his eyes still screaming in agony at Jake's earlier pinpoint targeting of his lethal left arm, flashes a glance upward at the soaring figure of the dastardly "Savior". The Kiwi Legend moves quickly to do his best to avoid his arm being shattered upon impact. With a grunt of pain, Hayden flicks his arm upward and tosses the chair into the air. As he does this, the Jackass rises to a sitting position. While Jake Diamond prepares for his descent, bringing his legs around in front of him and looking for the landing spot he had identified earlier, Hayden catches the chair with both hands. Jake Diamond does not find Hayden's steel-chair gift wrapped arm where he had left it. However, he does find the steel chair. The badly dented chair intercepts the Head Hunter in mid-flight, being swing in the direction of Jake Diamond's head by a livid New Zealand Warrior. With a crack that echoes back to the tenth row of the arena unamplified, Jake's flight takes a sudden change in course. Like a fly being swatted out of sky by a frustrated housewife, the Cult of Personality crashes down to the mat. As he falls, he collects the Jackass in his wake, landing atop the steel chair and inadvertently crushing Hayden's left wrist underneath his own body weight and the steel framed chair respectively. The Kiwi lets out a howl of agony as he struggles to free his trapped left wing, already crippled from Diamond's earlier assault. As his opponent bounces to an abrupt halt a few feet from him, the Jackass pulls his damaged wrist from underneath the wreckage. He uses his right arm to shakily haul himself to his feet, his left simply hanging limply in front of him, as if dead. "Hayden has finally had enough. He really brought Diamond down with that shot."
"Yes, but at what cost Fuzz?"
"Despite him swatting Jake out of the sky, it is Diamond who seems to have come out on top after the dust settles. Hayden is not going to be able to put up much of an offense with one good arm!"
"Not against Jake “fucking” Diamond he isn't anyway."
"Jake Diamond targeted that arm specifically, Hayden being a well renowned Southpaw. The Jackass is going to have to modify his winning game plan on the fly now." Complete with damaged arm in tow, Hayden is first to reach his feet. While Jake groans and mumbles incoherently on the mat, Hayden lifts the discarded chair with both hands again. He takes one look at the seat of the chair, bent all out of shape, before shaking his head and tossing the chair out of the ring. Changing tact slightly, Hayden scrambles back across the ring to his downed opponent. He attempts to lift Jake to his feet, but howls in pain as his left shoulder and wrist protest the heavy lifting. The Jackass is forced to let Jake drop back to the canvas as a result. A second attempt proves more successful, with the Kiwi using the right hand side of his body and slumping the grunting and groaning figure of Jake Diamond partially across his shoulder to make the lifting easier. When Diamond it on his feet, Hayden marches him toward the turnbuckle. With a sigh of relief at the effort required, Hayden unloads the Middleweight back first into the turnbuckle, so that Diamond is sitting atop the top rung. Wasting little time, HardKore takes off across the ring, away from his waiting opponent. He charges into the ropes, building speed as he rebounds back in the direction he had come. Instead of charging straight back into his opponent, the man formerly known as Santo Masceras springboards off the second rope, closest to the side of his opponent. Soaring through the air, Hayden aims a Flying Clothesline at the dazed Head Hunter. The impact of the move snaps Diamond's head back awkwardly before both men topple backward out of the ring. Sacrificing his own body, the small of Hayden's back slams into the corner of the ring apron before he is spurted out across the floor outside of the ring. Jake Diamond, however, has a less clear cut route to the floor. Having been knocked backward off the turnbuckle, the New Age Champion slams the back of his head against the top of the steel turnbuckle pole. The momentum carries Jake back further and he somersaults uncontrollably from his perch atop the turnbuckle, crashing shoulder first into the steel steps below him. He lands with a series of thuds which ring out across the arena, the hollow steel steps adding a resonating sound to the awkward landing and heavy impact of the fall, enough to bring the crowd to their feet in approval as both men lie in crumpled messy heaps on the floor outside the ring. ”There’s that high risk offense by Hayden HardKore again. He doesn’t even care if he walks away tonight, as long as his opponent doesn’t.” ”It is exactly that attitude that has won Hayden his hordes of loyal supporters over the years. Nobody on the roster has given so much of his body to this business as the Jackass.””The old man has more guts than brains, to be brutally honest. He already has a limp arm, a shoulder damaged by the sadistic Diamond, and now he’s kicking his own butt for good measure?””We will just have to see how it plays out. Hayden is a risk taker, always has been. But from the looks of it, Jake Diamond took the brunt of that impact. That looked nasty!” As both Wolverina and Amanda Brooks tend to their respective men, each trying to nurse their gladiator back into the match, the replays of Diamond’s fall from grace continue to spill out over the Titan Tron like a series of Friends re-runs. Hayden is first to stir, being helped to his feet by Wolverina and gritting his teeth to do the best he can of hiding the pain that now spasms through his entire body. Wolverina checks that Hayden is able to stand on his own two feet before she leaves him to his business. He turns his attention back to Jake Diamond just as Amanda Brooks had managed to draw the Head Hunter to his own feet. However, Brooks is still supporting his weight when Hayden catches the pair in his sights. As the pair had managed to back off up the entrance ramp a few yards, there is enough distance between the parties for the panic to set in on Amanda’s face before Hayden reaches her. The Jackass picks up his pace almost instantly, limping heavily as he runs. He dashes toward the pair, erupting toward Diamond and Brooks and devastating their reunion party with a still Double Armed Clothesline, one arm taking out each person. Amanda simply rolls off to the side, Hayden’s Clothesline only striking her with a glancing blow, but the woozy Head Hunter is hit with the full impact of the Kiwi’s anger. He flips over in mid-air before landing heavily face down on the steel entrance ramp with yet another clang. On either side of him, fans reach out to touch the Jackass, but the New Zealander remains focused on the task at hand. With the referee following as best as he can, Hayden snuffles the New Age Champion up, wrenching his back into a Camel’s Clutch. As the groans of pain and frustration begin to escape Diamond’s mouth once more, Hayden applies more pressure to the hold. With the New Age Champion’s back arched at an impossible angle, Hayden shifts the hold to wrap a forearm across the front of Jake’s head. Holding his opponent in place with the forearm headlock, Hayden calls for the referee to lend him the microphone. Hayden speaks, short of breath through both the pain still tearing his body apart and the effort he is putting into the Camel Clutch. ”Jake… Two words… You can end this, now… Say it!” Hayden shoves the microphone back at the ref’s face, the strain on his face showing how hard he is trying to get the cocky Champion to yield. When the referee draws the microphone toward Jake’s face, he is met with a simple, yet effective answer. ”Piss… off!” Although the words don’t exactly flow off his tongue with the same brash confidence they had earlier, the message relayed is the same. Jake is not ready to give up, not even close. Before Hayden has ha chance to shift his weight in response to Jake’s defiance, the current Champion had bludgeoned him about the head with an Uppercut from where he sits, still wrapped in the clutches of the Jackass. Hayden is thrown off balance enough for Jake to roll him forward and break the hold. However, the quick thinking Champion is not done with simply breaking the hold. He uses Hayden’s forward momentum to lock in a hold of his own. Grappling the Jackass with his feet, Diamond wraps Hayden up tighter than a mummified Pharaoh. Showing his superior technical skills, Diamond unravels himself only to lock the Jackass into a Cross Arm Breaker, both his arms wrenching at the Kiwi’s already badly damaged left arm, and his legs wrapped across the arm and Hayden’s torso to hold him in place. The move is applied with an expert’s flair, the Jackass unable to escape from the hold. Before he knows what has hit him, the New Zealand Legend is already howling and screaming in agony, his opponent attempting to wrench his arm clean off his body itself. ”This is it… Jake Diamond has gone after Hayden’s left arm all match now. Hayden cannot match technical skills with the New Age Champion, and he is stupid to think he can.”
”The last thing Hayden needs to do is get into a Submission battle with Jake Diamond. He’s going to come off second best. And yes, Diamond is targeting that arm… Why wouldn’t he? Jake sees a weakness, and like any good competitor, he is going to exploit it till the cows come home.”
”He’s going to tear the damn arm off at this rate. How much does one guy’s arm need to go through. Hayden has GOT to start protecting it!” Once again, the referee is right in place to capture the words between the two men. Through girtted teeth, the microphone held at the referee’s disposal captures Jake uttering two simple words over and over and over again, in the hopes that they will change the Kiwi’s defiant answer. ”Give up… Give up…” Each time the command is uttered, it is delivered slightly louder than the time before it, until Jake is practically screaming at Hayden to utter the words. However, equally as intensely, each time the words are uttered, they are met with a simple ”NO! from the Jackass. Eventually, Hayden is able to scramble away from the hold, twisting and turning his way out from the clutches of Jake’s legs. With his left arm dangling down uselessly, Hayden backs away from his opponent. Jake advances on him, backing Hayden up the rap toward the entrance stage at the top. Hayden walks backwards, keeping his cautious eyes fixed on Jake Diamond. The Head Hunter himself follows Hayden, mimicking each step as he goes. Similarly, the referee silently follows both men, to wherever Hayden happens to be leading them. Both Amanda Brooks and Wolverina still hovering about at ringside, each giving the other a wide berth, despite shooting accusing glares at the other throughout the ordeal. ”Hayden is backing away, scared of Jake Diamond. I can’t blame him. The Kiwi cannot beat him, and we all know that Hayden knows it.”
”I don’t know Al. I’ve faced Hayden in the ring many-a-time. I’ve seen that look on his face. It is dangerous. There’s more to this scene than meets the eyes. Hayden has something planned, something up his sleeve.”
”That being the case, where in the hell is he going?” Tbc JD

Post by Jake Diamond/Pavor Nocturnus on Mar 23, 2011 23:54:47 GMT -5
Looking over his shoulder, Hayden's destination grows closer and closer with every step being taken but Jake's eagerness might put a damper on such events. Leaning closer to the security barrier the more he backs up the entrance ramp, the former Undisputed champion knows he'll have to move quick given the intent blood lust in the eyes of the incoming Diamond. Feeling the step by step isn't giving him much ground Jake picks up the pace, his cynical and twisted smile sewn permanently on his face it seems. As if things couldn't get any possibly worse for him Hayden misjudges the placement of his feet and stumbles, falling back first against the security barrier with his arms stretching over the wall. Reaching over blindly and desperately, knowing entirely well he needed his weapon before Jake got to him, Hayden felt something sharp clip his hands. With a quick smirk Hayden wrapped his hands around the handle and closed his eyes before swinging over head.
Approaching Hayden at a rapid speed, Jake saw the end of his opponent in sight. However, a common problem for Jake Diamond, looking back on the whole situation it was obvious he was being led into a trap. With a stumbled over Kiwi the Head Hunter didn't even flinch to stop his stride until an uncharacteristic smirk spreads across his opponent's face. He could only release the words ”Oh fuck,” before Hayden's barb wired Singapore cane collided against his forehead. Feeling an obvious stinging sink down his entire body but missing the usual sensation of his skin being punctured, Jake Diamond can only stumble back wildly before falling down on his backside rather comically like the ultimate villain having a banana peel be his downfall. Pushing himself up, the former King of the Deathmatch decided to go back to his 'Hardkore' namesake and, once again, smashed the kendo stick against the top of the Head Hunter's skull, this time creating a laceration and bringing a whole new term to 'blood diamond'.
“I told you, Hayden always has something hidden up his sleeve. A hidden gem, anything really and now look at Jake, he is bleeding steadily!”
“Yeah, Hayden would need to cheap shot Jake... Our Savior had his number and that planted weapon just got the best of the champion!”
“And what's so wrong with that?! Jake's allowed to eye gouge and punch to the throat but as soon as Hayden uses a weapon in a no disqualifications match he's the cheater!?”
“There are some things you don't do in a match and destroy Jake's face is certainly not one of them! A quick jab only hurts for that second but he's going to be blinded behind that crimson mask for the rest of the night!”
Opening his eyes from his lain position on the entrance ramp Jake Diamond merely stares up into the rafters, a steady and crimson pool slowly matting his long brown hair to his head. He can feel nothing but the stinging sensation of the air striking his open crevasse and time seems to slow down. His head grew heavier and heavier with the additional weight and could feel the drops of either blood or sweat dripping from his hair, what exactly it was he couldn't be sure. The cheers of the audience, like Romans rooting a lion murdering a Christian, along with the outraged shriek from his emotional vampire Amanda were almost mute to him, his body more focused on bringing him back to composure. Tilting his head down, Jake watched as Hayden slowly cocked back the barbed kendo stick past his shoulder and watch the eyes of his opponent zero on his ribs like a hunter aiming for a deer's heart. Unfortunately for Hayden, this buck had no heart to hit and, despite the almost Matrix-esque sensation around him, the world was actually spinning in real time; a revelation that dawned upon him following another strike.
With a triumphant battle cry, drowning out the sounds of everything around him, Hayden pelted Jake's flesh once again with his surprise weapon of choice, this time penetrating the skin on Jake's left ribcage. As the stinging feeling caused by the Singapore cane flashed off his body combined with his skin getting lacerated once again, Jake released a rather uncomfortable groan and instantly shook his head in response to the question the official had yet to ask. Grabbing onto his sides, Jake rolled a bit down the entrance ramp before turning his back towards the ring, crawling back to it, while raising his hands up to his Hardkore opponent, begging for forgiveness. Gripping the weapon tightly in his right hand, his left dangling almost lifelessly down his side, Hayden decided to take a page out of Jake's own playbook and give the man absolutely no remorse. Raising the barbed object once again Hayden snapped it down quickly, this time missing his target as Jake spread his legs to avoid the shot to his true money makers, his testicles. Looking down at the missed target then up at his attackers face, the Head Hunter suddenly becomes aware of his target and, for a slight second, fear comes across his face before the crawl back almost imitates that of a crab attempting to evade capture.
Unaware of the fact that he could only crawl away for so long, Jake feels something press up against his back in his cowardly escape; the base of the ring. Looking from side to side in spot, looking for some type of exit, and with Hayden feet away from him, a drastic twist of fate from the situation only moments earlier, Jake goes for the only viable option; misdirection. Pointing over past Hayden's shoulder in a poor attempt at a distraction, Jake quickly scrambles up to his feet and tries to charge forward at his opponent but, obviously not falling for it, the Jackass brings the Singapore once again across Jake's ribcage sparking another outburst of agony. Stumbling away holding his side, the New Age champion seems helpless in his situation yet, still, refused to give up and now feeling the blood begin to drip down the front of his face. Dropping the kendo stick Hayden sees the moment now, more than ever, as an opportunity to put a nail in his opponent's coffin. Taking a quick run forward, the former King of the Deathmatch jumps and pivots mid-air jumping with both feet onto the nearby security barrier before turning and leaping back at the Cult of Personality, wrapping both of his legs around his opponent's face. Leaning back and swinging his momentum around, Hayden sends Jake for a ride with an impressive hurricanrana. As if things couldn't get worse for the champion Jake's landing isn't too graceful, getting sent straight into the nearby ring steps before tripping over them and sent head over heels onto the outside mat.
Lying flat on his face, feeling the crimson mask begin to conform to his face almost as comfortably as Pavor's mask did, Jake couldn't help but feel as though this all might be his fault. Looking up a head he could see only security barrier, along with at his left, however to his right he could see a much more promising future. Reaching forward and pulling himself in, Jake crawled his way to the light at the end of the tunnel or, in this case, refuge underneath the ring. As if he wasn't such a victim of unfortunate circumstances, Hayden Hardkore wasn't willing to give him such an easy route. Jacked up and fueled on adrenaline and the thousand's in attendance, the Kiwi spun around the ring steps just as the Blood Diamond reached under the ring with both hands. Grabbing his opponent's right ankle, Hayden pulled Jake away from his objective, mainly pulling with his right arm like a cable pull, but instead met his own light at the end of the tunnel. In a single fluent motion as the Jackass pulled him away, Jake pulled his weapon of choice close to his body along with his core before rolling on the canvas and smashing a light tube across the former Undisputed champions face. In a shower of fluorescent dust and glass, Hayden succumbed to the same fate as Jake to the kendo stick but, unable to even release a single word, merely drops down to both knees.
“And there is the ingenuity of Jake Diamond! Hayden Hardkore was all over his tail but that split second got him a nice face full of light tube!”
“You were talking about cheap shots earlier, what the Hell was that! Hayden's was a method of strategy, this was just shattering glass to the face!”
“Guys, guys, you need to calm down. You have to remember Jake Diamond and Hayden have been at this for awhile now and they know what each other is capable of.”
“And as a former King of the Deathmatch, yet another accolade Hayden has over Jake, the Kiwi can stand it. He's really going to need to do a Hell of a lot more to neutralize him...”
Surprised that one of his sneaky and deceptive moves actually threw him back into control, Jake Diamond shakes his head of any and all cobwebs before reverting to the second light tube held tightly in hand. Pushing himself up to his feet with his back facing his opponent, the Head Hunter decided not to allow himself a moment of weakness and spun on the spot swinging the light tube straight down and exploding it against the top of the crown-less King's head. Feeling a goose egg beginning to form, an obvious side effect of the light tubes, and a deep headache, the New Zealand native merely drops his head low on his double kneed position. It would be at that moment that Jake Diamond took the match too far. Reaching up to his face with his right hand, Jake Diamond brushes back his long brown hair before looking down at his hand and rather literally seeing red. As his scowl deepens, the truly macabre nature of Jake's intentions become obvious as he reached down and grabbed Hayden's chin with his left hand. Outraged, the Fuhrer of the Templar violently tilts Hayden's head back before scornfully yelling nonsense through gritted teeth at his tenacious opponent. Looking over his shoulder, for a slight second Jake's conscious takes over but is instantly overwhelmed by evil like white blood cells attacking a lone virus, before turning back and spitting directly into the face of Hayden Hardkore. Those fan's nearby at ringside let out a quick gasp, unbelieving what had just happened, and those watching at home and in the arena are unsure until the highlight replays on the big screen. If the hate for Jake Diamond was fierce before, now it was evolving into a riot.
“You cannot be fucking serious. What a disrespectful, arrogant prick!”
“Y'know, I've been trying to back Jake's method as psychological warfare but that's something you don't do. He literally spat in the face of the legend of Hayden Hardkore.”
“It's just another way for Jake to one-up Hayden! The Head Hunter was shat all over by Hayden and this is just his way of getting back...”
“Something you have to understand is Jake made this whole feud with Hayden personal, he didn't have to, but he did. Not only was that an absolutely rude approach to everyone in the arena and Hayden's family but I can promise you there will be some disgusted faces backstage...”
Jake Diamond had snapped; if he couldn't make Hayden quit from all of the abuse he laid on him he was going to disgrace him in front of the world. With the saliva from Jake's filthy and disgusting mouth still fresh on his face, the Jackass doesn't even gather a moment to respond as the New Age champion grabbed the challenger by his hair and his left arm and dragged him over along the side of the ring. With every swing Hayden tried retaliating with his free hand Jake's grip on his hair only tighten before bringing him along to the side of the ring where the announce tables sit. Lacking any discretion to the announcers at ringside nor the objects that lie on the table, Jake throws his battle weary opponent on top of it before yelling out to the violently booing audience to shut up. Holding Hayden down with his left arm Jake hammers a few punches into the New Zealander for good measure. Taking a deep breath in to centre himself, Jake Diamond brushes back his long, bushy mop before turning his attention to the turnbuckle parallel to himself.
In most cases a flurry of thoughts and plans would be swirling through his mind like a detrimental hurricane but this time his mind was absolutely blank. Climbing up onto the ring apron Jake's expression didn't change, merely solemn and content on destruction. Wrapping his hands around the ropes and pulling himself up, Jake's ascension up the turnbuckle was met with even more of a hostile gathering, as if it were even possible. In the far depths of his mind he knew spitting in Hayden's face would garner some heat but couldn't in his dreams imagine this much. Like climbing a mountain, every step up the pressure increased but the pressure was more internal; he hadn't done such a high risk move in quite some time, botching it would be the downfall of his title reign. Regardless, his climb went smoothly yet now was the important part. With both feet propped high upon the top turnbuckle, a foot on either rope, Jake took another moment to centre himself, knowing everything rested on this moment. Looking out at the downed Hayden, Jake took a moment, not to mock Hayden, but take a page from his earlier Savior days and with his right hand gestured the sign of the cross before leaping from the top. Tucking his legs close to his body, Jake Diamond out stretched his left arm, elbow cocked out and aimed primly to the chest of the Hardkore Hero. Feeling a gush of the wind blow through his hair, Jake Diamond closed his eyes, feeling as though this would be the final move to end Hayden's career. However, regrettably for Jake Diamond, the signature elbow drop wasn't so picture perfect and, if he had opened his eyes, maybe he'd avoid the fact that Hayden wasn't exactly where he was aiming for. Rolling off of the table and falling landing hard on his chest, the New Zealander avoided the more fatal finale and couldn't help but listen as the flight of the Cult of Personality crash landed through the announce table.
“Well there goes our announce table again...”
“Jake Diamond going for his signature 'picture perfect' elbow drop and Hayden got out of the way just in time! Talk about instincts!”
“What the Hell was he looking to do there? Rub more insult into injury, trying to top Hayden's high flying ways with one of his own? What an idiot!”
“You've got to give him credit for those massive cojones he has! And why wouldn't Jake want to do that?! He promised he would embarrass him and that's what he's doing!”
“Yeah, and by being so driven by revenge Jake's steering away from his normal game plans; beat his opponent's down into submission. Right now though Hayden has just been tossed back into the driver's seat...”

The scene is one of carnage. Jake Diamond lies in among the rubble of what once was the announce table, leaving Matt Oliviera, Big Al and Fuzz stranded. The trio stand awkwardly, tying as best as they can to avoid becoming closer to the action than they had intended. The quick thinking Jackass, bleeding profusely from large gashes in his head thanks to Jake's light tube, staggers to his shaky feet and looks down at his broken, bloodied and battered opponent. He smiles at the scene, his usually white teeth now stained red with his own blood as it flows down his face. Hayden takes the time to turn away from his opponent, sizing up the ring apron once more. Slowly placing one foot in front of the other and staggering drunkenly from a mixture of exhaustion and pain, Hayden makes his way over to the side of the ring. With an impatient wave of his hand, he tosses aside the ring apron and fishes about underneath the ring. When he stands up again, he is juggling a collection of objects. A simple steel chair is first to catch the eye, looking almost innocent as it lies on the apron of the ring where the New Zealander had placed it, simple but effective in the right hands. It isn't until Hayden turns around, away from the ring apron that the other two objects become abundantly clear. Dangling from his hands to the point where it almost touches the ground is a long, sturdy looking steel-linked chain, and fastened to one of the links of the chain, a padlock and key. Hayden's eyes twinkle through the red film covering his face as he feels the cold steel of the chain sliding sensually through his fingers. Diamond stirs, ever so slightly, throwing aside two or three of the larger shards of wood that had been uncomfortably digging themselves into his back. However, the Cult of Personality still looks completely unaware of his surroundings. Hayden takes the time to drag Diamond clear of the rubble, with Jake making little fuss as his body is pulled clear of the wreckage. It isn't until he feels for himself the cold steel chain being wrapped around his leg that he begins to look slightly worried. His eyes shoot open, only to find the smiling figure of Hayden HardKore wrapping the last of the chain around his legs, fastening the pair together. The wily veteran then closes the padlock with a click, locking Jake's legs in place. Diamond hurls a sting of abuse at the Jackass, struggling as best he can to free himself from the confides of the chain now securely locked around his ankles, but to no avail. Hayden smiles at him once more before he picks up the length of chain that hangs loose, pulls it up over his shoulder like a slave dragging a large hunk of stone and begins to turn his eyes toward the entrance ramp once more. "What the hell? Hayden has just chained Jake Diamond's legs together... This really puts Diamond in a bind!"
"Oh, good lord almighty... Tell me you didn't just say that. I'm not sure what is going through Hayden's head right now, but I can tell you that it is not exactly out of a wrestling textbook."
"That is what makes Hayden so brilliant. He pushes the limits of what can be done. The Jackass always has a trick or three up his sleeves."
"This does not bode well for Jake Diamond right now. He needs to get himself loose or this is as good as done!" Picking up the steel chair with his free hand as he goes, the Jackass sets his sights on the entrance ramp. The trek is a long one, and the New Zealander drags the struggling and swearing New Age Champion the whole way up the ramp before stopping at the top of the entrance stage. It isn't until Hayden is in position that he begins to give away the idea running through his head. He looks up, taking a long, hard look at the scaffolding around the Total Carnage backdrop. Light towers run up either side of the backdrop and across the back of the stage. Pillars for extra support come down either side of the entrance curtain, shielded with black velvet coverings to hide the metallic framing. Tossing the steel chair aside, it is this velvet cover that Hayden tends to. He tears the covering off the steel pillar to the left of the entranceway. With Jake Diamond in tow, still trying furiously to free himself, Hayden whips away the covering, exposing a steel framed pillar, with horizontal struts evenly spaced between each other, good enough to climb. And climb he does. With the length of chain still draped across his shoulder, Hayden climbs the pillar. Effort and strain fill his face as he climbs, with Jake bumping his head on every third rung as he hands upside down. Eventually, Hayden reaches the top of the climb. He now hangs off the side of the pillar, just underneath the bottom of the Titan Tron. Running along the bottom of the screen is another lighting-rig pillar. This pillar runs horizontally across the entire length of the stage. Looking to take some of the strain off himself, Hayden loops the chain holding Jake together through the horizontal beam. The beam acts like a pulley, with Hayden holding one end of the chain firmly, and the flailing figure of Jake Diamond acting as a counter weight to the other. Hayden stands atop the structure, high above the metal entrance stage, fumbling about in his pockets, while Jake simply hangs out with nothing better to do. "Hayden HardKore has Jake right where he wants him... High up in the air, chained at the ankles and padlocked together."
"One can only imagine what he had in store for him right now. And suddenly I am curious as to what Hayden has in that pocket of his."
"He had better stop pissing about and get on with it. Any moment now, Jake could find a way out of that chain and really turn the tables on the Jackass."
"So he's Houdini now is he? An escape artist and a Champion. I'm not sure if you noticed, but Jake's ankles are currently chained together, very firmly. I don't think he's getting out any time soon." When Hayden had stopped fumbling about in his pockets, he brings out another small metallic object. However, it is unclear exactly what the object is as the Jackass hides it in the palm of his hand while he attends to his bizarre human pulley system that he has created. With a smile on his face, Hayden simply lets go of the chain. All around the arena, a collective gasp is taken as the upside down figure of Jake Diamond hurtles uncontrollably head first toward the waiting steel landing of the entrance stage. However, Hayden is quick to stop the New Age Champion. He wraps the falling chain around his hand, crying out in pain as it pulls tight, but stops the Head hunter some six or seven feet from impact. Having seen his life flash before his eyes, Jake Diamond blinks rapidly for a few seconds before his brain catches up with him. Hayden, completely in control of the situation, holds up the metallic object he had fished out of his pocket, another padlock. This padlock is a little larger than the first, and Hayden uses it to pass one end through a link of chain that he is holding and the other end through a link of chain on the other side of the pulley, connected to the human counter weight. When he clicks the padlock closed, Hayden cautiously lets go of the chain a second time. this time, instead of falling, Jake Diamond is held firmly in position, albeit with chains, lighting rigs and padlocks all creaking and groaning under the strain. Hayden's descent is quicker, and before anybody knows it, the Jackass is back on solid ground once again, standing underneath the upside down figure of his nemesis. Jake Diamond still struggles, hurling a constant string of threats and abuse at the Jackass, and aiming wild punches in Hayden's direction whenever the Kiwi comes within range. Hayden simply bends over and picks up the steel chair, holding it with both hands. "Oh, I see what he's doing here..."
"Jesus... He's made a..."
"Sure has..."
"Human Pinata!" With a smile on his face grinning from ear to ear, Hayden catches Jakes attention with his first swing, hitting the upside down Champion about the head with a vicious swing. Much of the blow is absorbed by Diamond's hands, which he manages to bring up just in time to shield his face from destruction. As the blood rushes to his head, his reactions begin to slow, and his face begins to flush red. Hayden continues to swing. Three strikes with the chair land upon Jake's protective shield, before Hayden pokes him with the end of the chair and sends the New Age Champion spinning in mid-air. This gives the Jackass a chance to slam the steel chair into the back of Diamond's head, receiving a groan of pain as a prize for hitting a sweet spot. Hayden beckons for the referee to approach, complete with microphone. "You can make this all end Jake. Just say the two words and I will let you down." When he is met once more with a defiant grunt, Hayden takes it upon himself to strike out with the chair again. Jake is caught on the shoulder with the chair and lets out a yelp of pain as a result. Hayden swings again, but misses the Head Hunter completely and catches the chain that hangs from the beam above him instead. With the dodgy set-up already creaking and groaning from the strain, this was the last straw. With a ping, a single ink in the chain breaks, sending Jake Diamond plummeting the remaining six feet to the ground, where he lands on his shoulders and head. Again, a collective gasp is let out around the arena as the figure of the Champion is seen hurtling into the unforgiving steel floor. Instead of watching in shock and horror like the rest of the arena, Hayden simply stands above Jake's body, microphone in hand and poses the question again. "Jake... I will not let up until you yield. Give in." "Jake Diamond can't give up if he is unconscious. And with a fall like that, I would be pretty sure he would be out cold."
"Hayden HardKore has more guts than brains, I say it again. Dropping the guy from that height. He can only win with the opponent uttering "I Quit". Killing him is not going to help him keep his job."
"Dropping him?
The chain broke, Jake fell... He wasn't dropped."
"Well sure, that's what the report would say." Hayden stands above his opponent, awaiting Jake's answer. The pair are so close to each other that they can almost feel each other's breath and smell what they had for lunch two days ago. Hayden wants to make sure that he catches any little utterance of the golden phrase. However unexpectedly, Jake's eyes shoot open. With steel chains still covering his feet, Jake brings both of his legs up and boots Hayden in the family jewels. Hayden doubles back from the impact of the low blow, his eyes looming as if they would bulge out of his head. Before Hayden can recover from the low blow, Jake had managed to force himself to his feet. With both legs still fastened together, he catches the falling head of Hayden as the Jackass threatens to topple over. Helping him to do so, Jake Diamond drives Hayden head first into the discarded steel chair with a Cutter filled with evil intentions. As Hayden had done earlier, Jake Diamond had come back from the brink of defeat and once again turned the tables of the topsy-turvey match. "Somehow, some way... I don't think we are quite done yet."
"These men will bring the damn arena down around them before they are done."
"Two of the very best on display here tonight. Mano-e-mano. Whoever wins here is truly, undoubtedly the best of the best." TBC Jake

Post by Jake Diamond/Pavor Nocturnus on Mar 28, 2011 1:01:40 GMT -5
Jake Diamond was sore all over. His head and ribs were bleeding quite profusely and simply aching from all of the trauma gone through. Inside of his head his brain was pulsating with every breathe and knew after the match his migraine would be astronomical. His side from where he landed on those steel steps earlier on were bruised and he could feel the blood being pushed through it yet still, despite all of these injuries, Jake refused to let up. Lifting his feet up, both still wrapped in Hayden's steel chain, Jake pushed back the chain while trying to pull in his feet closer to his body, a rather futile attempt to break free. Struggling with the endeavor, the Savior soon finds himself rolling onto his side and squeezes out his right foot, prying it with all of his might. Feeling it begin to slip more and more Jake wiggles his body before finally emerging with a leg intact. Ripping the chain off of his legs, Jake drops it down before crawling up to his feet. Initially stumbling, the New Age Champion gains his composure before looking down at the sprawled out Hayden, a small smile emerges on his face.
Pushing himself up from his pancaked position over top of the steel chair, Hayden lifts his exhausted head and stares down at the dented black mess before him, watching as his blood steadily drips down forming a small pool on the weapon. Well aware on how easily the match can change hands, Hayden goes over in his mind on how he came to this circumstance and is deaf to the sounds of his violent assailant creeping up from behind him, measuring him up. While Hayden analyzes his situation, Jake prepares to make the Jackass's life even worse than he already has. Crouched low behind the cruiserweight, the Head Hunter watches his prey methodically breathe heavily and attempt to push himself up and, with the man narrowed in to his sights, there was no way he was going to avoid this. An obvious attack from this spot would be a Coup De Mort but Jake couldn't win with a coma but, rather, an excruciating onslaught.
“I have no idea how Jake is still standing let alone fighting! He was dropped six feet onto steel and beaten down...”
“It just proves how unbeatable our champion is... It's like if Hercules was eaten by Jesus... With far less moral integrity.”
“Yeah, you can call it that... Jake's looking for something big here but what! His finishers, although effective, are all instant concussions-”
“Except for what he's looking at right now... Look at his eyes, he wants to make Hayden suffer and he's been building up for this all night...”
Feeling as though he's spent enough time waiting, Jake quickly charges forward and lands a pointed elbow drop to the back of Hayden's head, sending the man to get sandwiched against the steel chair once again. Before the former Undisputed champion has a chance to react the New Age champion goes on the move quickly grabbing onto Hayden's left arm and tossing it back. Well aware of what exactly is about to go down “Fuck you Jake!” and “Hay-den! Hay-den!” chants bombard the two men on the entrance stage to try and bring some type of life into their hero but the fatigue seems to be taking over. With the New Zealander's damaged left arm trapped behind him Jake stretches his hands forward and locks them tightly underneath the Kiwi's chin before pulling back, fully applying the Diamond Clutch. As soon as Jake's hands laced themselves together the moans of agony begin to be heard from the Hardkore one but after scanning the surroundings it doesn't seem as though Jake's work is done just yet.
Looking forward, Jake's fiery emerald eyes catch sight of the steel chain that Hayden used to incapacitate him and decided to use it to his advantage. Just within arms reach Jake quickly pulls back on the crossface to give a shot of pain down Hayden's spine before quickly releasing it and reaching forward. Grabbing both ends of the chain with either hand Jake quickly wrenches it back replacing the spot underneath Hayden's chin. With the full fledged submission locked in expertly Jake's tension doesn't let up even going so far as to prop his feet down on the entrance stage grate and lean closer to Hayden's body, putting even more pressure on the injured left arm. Grinning through a crimson veil, his movie star perfect white teeth stained with blood, Jake Diamond could feel the ending coming yet didn't demand that the referee check on Hayden; if he was going to make him quit he would make him scream it.
Hayden's predicament didn't look as bleak as it did right now. Gritting his teeth and trying to ignore the sharp pain shooting up his left arm and back up all the way across his shoulders, the Jackass knew the best way out of it right now was merely by enduring. However, the more and more the stocky middleweight pulled back on the cold and remorseless steel chain the more Hayden could see himself screaming the words he never thought he'd say. If the pain in his arm wasn't overwhelming enough, the steel edges of the chain digging into his chin and awkwardly twisting his neck back began to become ever the more excruciating. Releasing a low bellow that only fueled Jake more to pull back, Hardkore tried to think of an escape route but could only think about the answer to the referee who finally asked Hayden if he was willing to quit. A triumphant ”NO!” put a slight damper on Jake's mood but as the calculating machine he was, he wasn't willing to let go just yet.
“Hayden's left shoulder is pretty well kissing his own ear and that chain... Jake has made his patented move even more fatal!”
“And there's no chance of escaping from this! Hayden should just quit before he seriously hurts himself even more!”
“The most ridiculous part is the match type. Neither Jake or Hayden is going to quit, every inch of their body refuses to even mention the word...”
“And if Jake could Houdini himself out of a steel apparatus then I'm sure Hayden can get out of Jake's web... God, look at his face! It's turning purple!”
As every second passed and another seed of doubt was planted into an audience member's mind, Hayden's situation grew graver and graver. Holding his eyes tightly shut and his teeth firmly tighten against each other, the Jackass could only shake his head away and feel as a combination of blood and sweat left another bead onto the pool just below him. Knowing that it was either now or never, Hayden Hardkore knew he had to make his move and reached up with his right hand, grabbing the chain from under his chin and tried to pull it away. Predominantly left handed, Hayden did fairly well with his weaker hand versus both of Jake's much more powerful grips and pulled the chain slightly away from his face before it was slammed back into position. Going for try number two, Hayden positioned his hand just between the chain and his chin before pulling it away with all of his strength. Not know for big, muscular arms, it seemed as though the former King of the Deathmatch's entire right arm shook violently as it vied for an exit before quickly slipping his head out of the grips. Taking the bigger man by surprise, Jake tried to wrap the chain underneath Hayden's chin again but didn't focus on Hardkore's left arm that easily escaped the Clutch, allowing the challenger to roll away to safety.
Unbelieving that, once again, Hayden Hardkore thwarted his master plan Jake simply laid back on the steel entrance stage, his mind blown on what exactly he could do next to the crafty cruiserweight. Thinking over a very basic yet effective plan, Jake Diamond nodded to himself before leaving the chain to lie lifelessly on the stage before slowly pushing himself up to his feet. Despite his arms feeling numb from all of the pulling, Jake shook his hands to return the blood to his limbs yet didn't attack the downed Hayden but, instead, stood still. Watching him curiously, almost like a puppy dog admiring a simple fly before eating it, Jake stared as his opponent tried to recover as quickly as he could. With his left arm held tightly to his chest and propped up by his right, Hayden tried to get back together but his body was a whirlwind of pain and disorientation. Pushing himself up to his feet, his left arm dangling like deadweight past his side, Hayden seemed confused by his normally ruthless competitor standing, waiting, watching as his own blood dripped casually to the stage. Staring Hayden dead in the eyes, a small smirk emerged across the face of the Cult of Personality; he would get on top not by exerting energy but in a final showdown. Raising his left hand up, palm facing the roof, Jake brought his fingers back gesturing for Hayden to come at him, bringing the match to a final blaze of glory.
Considering Jake's absurd request, knowing fully well that a stand-up game against the shoot fighting Jake Diamond was unadvised in general let alone missing the strength in his left arm, Hayden merely shrugged his shoulders before charging forward. With his back pointed down the entrance ramp and leading back down the ring, Jake waited for Hayden's charge to come close before side stepping the move, allowing Hayden a bit of a run down the entrance ramp before charging at his opponent's back. This time he wouldn't give him the privilege of being put in a submission and, on a dime, Jake spun on his foot and raised his elbow high going for his signature death blow known as the Coup De Mort but the equally as crafty Hayden had another plan. Stopping dead in his tracks and ducking Jake was sent swinging forward at the wind before the cruiserweight, digging deep, leaped up from his crouched position and drove the soles of both of his feet into Jake's back sending him tumbling face first into the ring apron following the dropkick out of nowhere.
“So this is what it's come down to, an all out showdown between two of the best in Glory and Honour wrestling right now.”
“I still don't get how they have enough adrenaline to keep this pace up! They're on their last wind, no doubt.”
“I don't think anybody can understand exactly how much they both want to win. The New Age title means more than anything to them, I don't see either letting it escape their grasps.”
“You mean escaping Jake's grasps. After tonight Hayden's career is done for, Jake will end it one way or another.”
Holding himself up against the ring apron, Jake Diamond seemed astonished that Hayden Hardkore had so much gas left in the tank but, regardless, he wasn't going to back down. Back into earshot of both of their gems, both Wolverina and Amanda Brooks let out a cheer on behalf of each of their men, yet fall almost onto deaf ears of their focused lovers. Taking a lunge forward, Hayden goes for a quick clothesline with his right arm at Jake's head but the champion dodges under it before side stepping to Hayden's side. Right as the challenger becomes aware of Jake's quick repositioning he had already made his move, jumping and swinging high at the back of the Kiwi's head with a relatively sloppy, but at this point almost expected, enzuigiri. With the sickening sound of foot on skull ringing through the arena, Hayden merely drops down to both knees, the kick to the head sending a flock of imaginary canaries fluttering around his head. Amazed by his own agility, Jake stumbles up to his feet before deciding to end it where it started; in the ring.
Not exactly thinking about the possible scenario around him, Jake merely grabbed Hayden by the top of his trunks and back of the head before rolling the man into the ring. About to follow him in, suddenly Jake's natural instinct became so abundantly clear. Backing up a step and his face entirely dropping, his eyes cold and serious and his mouth just simple Jake turned his attention to what lied under the ring apron. Seeing this look in the man's eyes before, suddenly Wolverina's stomach drops hoping that what she was thinking wasn't actually about to happen. Throwing up the ring apron, Jake Diamond's prized possession sat directly in front of him, the brand new handle glistening in the light, practically screaming his name. Bending over, Jake didn't care about how quickly Hayden could recover or the possible repercussions to his actions, he simply cared about the weapon he brought into this company. Pulling it out with both hands and raising it up into the air, the arena suddenly grew awkwardly quiet before being replaced with the expected hate-filled boos. Lowering it down to eye level, Jake stared into the axed edge of the splitting maul as if it were a long lost lover before spinning it around and staring blankly at the sledged edge. Jake Diamond had the splitting maul and was either going to end Hayden's career with it, or die trying.
“Oh no... Not this, I thought he'd be done with this...”
“I knew this was coming, Jake's be all and end all; the splitting maul.”
“And Jake's going to split Hayden's face right in half! I hope he takes that axed edge and chops the Southpaw's hand right off!”
“Jake, listen to any sort of voice of reason! Do not do this, you don't want to do this!”
“The scary part is he does want to do this... Call it corporate takeover, because Jake's competition will not come out of this breathing if he makes his move...”
