So with NeXuS coming and going, a very small minority decided to question my judging. In most cases, it was fair questioning. And it got me thinking...
What would you guys say to a week of matches, where YOU, THE GHW UNIVERSE, decide the winner!
Now, by that, I mean either myself or Skull (depending on the show) will close the card, as normal. But for this one special week, we will put up polls on the matches, asking you (not the judges, but YOU) who you think deserves the victory in each match. The process would last 24 hours from the closing of the card, and the winner after 24 hours will be revealed on the match results thread. I think it would be something fresh, instead of allowing the big bad meanie judges to judge for one week. (Also, if those calls are questioned, we can all share a hearty laugh. xD)
I actually think this would be a good idea, despite my just thinking of it as I type. But, of course, I am putting the idea out there to you guys first. This is your forum after all.
So yays? Nays? Feels like a while since we have ventured in to this board.

I strongly disagree with this one.
Giving the members such chance would simply get them claim they won every now and then. This would allow bitching to go up by 200%, and I also add that this would simply get the credibility of a judge to go down. I mean, Ryan has been doing a fair job in my books (regardless a few misses; oh well, don't we all do that?) and Skull, he has been a vet for quite a long and has the experience to be a fair judge. THIS would simply get their acceptance down toward the new members, not to mention even some of the old members, and I strongly oppose this one.
Just my two cents, peeps. I haven't read the last stage, so yeah, won't comment if the verdict was perfect or not. But yeah, this shouldn't be done... such things never ends good.

I think it could work, but to avoid biased opinions, the people involved in the match and all people associated with them aka tag team members stable members should be excluded from voting.

Everybody already has their favourites, so it's not a good idea. Heads up, I think you're doing a great job . *Uh-huh, Charging Glory shot, uh-huh*

If this went through, there would be different sets of exclusions from voting; Staff, Stablemates, Partners, etc. I honestly don't think that having this idea one week every few months would hurt judges credibility. If anything, it's a good breath of fresh air. I do see where you are coming from though Shawn. The way I see it, is that if there is bitching, there wouldn't be anyone to bitch to, because the entire GHW roster voted. Not just a single entity. It COULD hold more validity, depending on how it is monitored.

How about I just do all the judging for a week or two and anyone who bitches about losing can be yelled at, just like old times?

Nay. I'd rather decide the match cards than results; Kind of like Taboo Tuesday or Cyber Sunday. Plus, I have no complaints about the match judging. I've seen areas where I could have possibly improved (drastically). EDIT: Aha! I knew it was around here somewhere. The Taboo Tuesday idea was suggested here.

Nah, MD, cause half the roster would leave. Then you'd get the awesome moniker of Fed Killer, just like EVPW lol.
Every judge of matches gets them wrong at times, it's a given. Some more than others lol, but still. It's a double edged sword.
With that being said, I disagree. It's already bad enough that judges get second opinions from people who are buddies with at least SOMEONE in just about every match, or at least has their "favorites" in most matches. This wouldn't be a fair at all, and would definitely lead to bad things. It wouldn't matter if you exclude stable mates or tag partners etc from voting for their peeps, because alot of people on this site have characters that have no affiliation with other peoples characters, yet IRL are good buddies with them.
If you decide to do this, Ryan, be sure to exclude the "Universe" from judging title matches and Contendership matches, that's for sure lol. And exclude me from this as well. You're a pretty fair judge Ryan, as is Skull, but you'll make bad calls here and there so don't get too up in arms about it all. *Huggles*
EDIT: I do like Barta's Match Card idea though. Maybe do kinda like what they do in EVPW. Have a sign up sheet for a future TNT to come, stating if they'd like to participate in the "Taboo Tuesday" card. Leave it up for however long you seem fit too, then when you close it take the list and put it up for people to pick who they want to see fight each other. You could then do it like this: if more than one person wants to see Fighty fighty person A vs Fighty fighty person B then book it, but if it's the opposite and nobody votes for a certain Fighty fighty person or whatever, then use your powerful card making mind to book a cool match per normal.

In the end, despite the nay-sayers (including myself), DO IT.
It's better to know first-hand whether it can work or it can flop. If all goes down well, GHW can keep it in their back pocket.

There was a time, and a place where Ryan's judging was put under critical scrutiny. There were a few times where some people might have gotten fucked over. *COUGH COUGH*
But I was really impressed with Ryan's judgments so far as a GM of GHW. But, I can not hold my tongue on this one and must speak against dear friends.
Ryan, your judgment was terrible for the NeXuS.
I honestly think we need to go back to the "Phantom Judge" system that we used in VWE...well, that I used in VWE cause I was left with that sinking ship. Basically, for high end matches like the NeXuS or title shots and contender-ship, there should be a three judge system. The names will be withheld except for the judge that hands out the ruling and nothing else will be said about it. This will stop conspiracy theories and Kahlan's from running around and shouting that things weren't fair and that it was a rigged match with an obvious favorite whom the judges wanted to win. Now, say for low card matches and matches between the new guys and jobbers and what not, there can be a one judge system, and with that if the loser honestly feels like he was robbed, they can POLITELY ask for another judge to review it and hand down an agree or disagree on the current standing ruling.
Constent bitcher's rule will apply on this one though.
Now I know it sounds like a lot of work blah blah blah, time blah blah blah, but there's a lot of people around here who can help out, and you don't have to make them mods or anything so that all the creeps in the creep-dom have free reign. But, this is only my opinion.

Of course Haven would take my joke and be a cunt about it. I'm exhausted, so this might be a bit of a ramble, but here goes... Let me explain something. Everyone on this board except for you and Nick Carson likes me. This non-issue was also brought up when I judged one of Winthorp Darkrites' matches and called him the winner in EVPW. As far as you getting mad because Proeliator (who I live with) was consulted about NeXuS, Pro's probably the fairest judge on the site. Matthew Oliveira has called against me before, I've called against Winthorp and Dakota plenty of times, etc etc. I've called people I never talk to over my friends, because there's a certain level of maturity you'll probably never have that is required to judge matches objectively. The job of judge is saying who you think did better in a text-based wrestling match, not choosing who to sacrifice to the Volcano God. On a side note, the only people who have gone on LOA because of me did so because I called against them. I didn't kill EVPW, the whiners did. The fed died after I lost my staff position. On another side note, I'm taking control of judging for a while since Ryan's had his fill, so if you don't like it, get the fuck out like I want you to. I have no clue why I ever unbanned you to try to mend things up anyway.

From experience, Rob judged against me a couple of months ago, Hayden wins New Age Championship goes on a title winning spree, I smoke heavy amounts of marijuana and curse people out on twitter and here we are! So I guess.... FUCK YOU ROB. xD But in all seriousness, if you feel as though you are being judged unfairly, here's my advice to you. Make your posts undoubtedly better than your opponents. As much as people may hate you, there is no arguing a better read. It's a game/competition. You can't be on the short end of the stick, if your holding the bigger end. Thank you for your time children. Carry on. EDIT: Oh and remember nobody is perfect, except Dolph Ziggler of course. I AM PERFECTION!!!!!!!

As a one off, I'd say do it. Just don't book any majorly important matches during that week. It would be interesting to see how it works out. btw i don't think anyone has ever questioned one of my judging decisions so far (i haven't been doing it long so there's still time ) but if anyone did i could send them the cool ass spreadsheet thing i use. They can then proceed to fuck themselves with it.
