Here are your results for Phase Uno of NeXuS. The card is still going on, if that isn't already obvious.
Cage 1
1st - Hayden HardKore
2nd - Metal Dragon
3rd -Bryan Wyziner
4th -Barta Bull
5th -Johnny Simpson
6th -Greenspark
Notes: This cage was a lot closer than I thought it would be, to tell you the truth. I was actually torn in the end as to who went out from Dragon, Hayden and Wyziner – but Bryan’s post which came after his reservation ended worked against him. I’m not dismissing Barta either; his post was indeed well written, and it was a dandy way to bow out, if indeed that is what you are planning on doing. Well done to MD and Hayden, and lets see if the momentum carries over in to phase 2. If I was to rank you two for your own future reference, I would have put Hayden over MD. I just got in to his post that little bit more.
Cage 2
1st - Dominik Santiago
2nd - Wolverina
3rd -Tayler Nathan Thomas
4th -Daniel Spears
5th -Skull
5th -Hiro Misawa
Notes: In this cage, I wouldn’t go as far to say Dominik ran away with this one, but he did put himself through convincingly. Kudos go to you, and it will take a lot to stop Santiago winning NeXuS if he continues on this form. Haven and TNT were back and forth in terms of who I was putting through over the week, but Haven’s second post sealed her spot in the last 8. Daniel, I liked your post, and you are getting close to the upper echelon. You just need… something. Something to make you stand out. Maybe it’s a case of letting some of your ideas stew, I don’t know. But you had a strong showing, so well done.
Cage 3
1st - Desperado
2nd - Jerry Nate
3rd -Shawn Dreamer
4th -AJ Scally
5th -Nicholas Carson – Walked Out
6th -Chris Pyro – Walked Out
Notes: Boy, there had to be ONE cage with controversy in it, and trust it to be the one containing Nicholas Carson. But in all seriousness, this Cage did take quite a lot of judging as compared to the others. Desp, just like 2007-2010, you are pulling out good stuff for NeXuS. Well done you, you’re through. As for spot number two… Jerry, Shawny or Nicky. Nicky, you made my decision a little easier by walking out, but rest assured, if not for the chlorine spot, you would have more than likely made it through. After much deliberation, I am giving the second spot to Jerry Nate. He just edged it with the way he managed to RP his way out of the chaos caused by Carson and Pyro. Shawn, do not fret, because that showing, as well as matches in recent weeks, have given you a high standing in my mind.
Cage 4
Spike Steel (bye, already through to Round 2)
1st - Dustin Delta
2nd –Mighty Man Millson II
3rd –Shane Roberts
4th –Solstice
5th –Amanda Brooks
Notes: One of these spots was already taken by Spike, which made the ask that much tougher for you folk in the final cage. I went through the process of elimination for this one. Amanda didn’t post. Out. Solstice put up a good showing, but not in the same capacity as the other three with their two posts (or one in Shane’s case). As for the last three, I studied all your posts twice over, and Shane fell foul of my process, only just. For a rookie, you gave a great showing. The thing that clinched it for Dustin was the frog splash spot. I could see that play in my mind, and it would be something I would pay to see in an arena. Millson’s bomb spot was crafty, but I just felt with the way I took Nicky out in Cage three for his chlorine for being “too much”, I had to give Delta the nod for being creative, without the need to bring in something extra or over-the-top. Congrats to all you guys though.
Phase Two will be up soon, in the meantime, refresh yourselves on the match concept which can be found in the PPV Card.
