The scene opens backstage, minutes after Dustin Delta and the debuting Ray Ban tore the house down.The camera pans out and reveals one particular Dominik Santiago, getting bandaged by one of the hired members of the medical staff. Beside him to left, a strikingly stunning young women, appearing younger than twenty-two. Her face comes off as rather familiar, her pretty smile sitting etched on the blond's face. With a mic in her hands, she looks over, staring at the Assassin who grimaces with every wrapping bandage that wraps around his wounded, battered body. The Californian slowly rises up when medical technician's work is done, prompting the young woman to raise the GHW microphone to her lips.
Malibu: "Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Malibu and I'm joined by the New King of the Deathmatch Champion... D-Dominik S- Sa- Santiago!"
The new champion grabs his prestigious belt off the table, cringing in pain as he drapes the championship over his broad shoulder. After taking a deep breath, the leader of Legion locks eyes with the former GHW commentator.
Dom: "Lets cut this one short. I've got more important things to do, and answering pointless questions to give some incompetent little girl airtime is not on my agenda."
She flashes him a nervous smile, obviously trying to hide her displeasure with the clear insult.
"As I'm sure you've seen, Nicholas Carson and Dustin Delta have banded together to defeat the Legion, and both men are vying for the gold which your stable possesses. Any thoughts?"
"Its of no consequence."
"I don't quite follow."
"I forgot I was talking to a blond. Let me enlighten you then. There have been many King of Deathmatches, with Vladimir Strife, Matthew Oliveira, and Metal Dragon just to name of few. Unfortunately for Nick Carson, he would not become one of them, as I hung him over the ropes, commencing the Era of Santiago. Maybe I hit him in the head a few too many times with that Thumbtack Chair, or maybe me driving his cranium into the canvas with an SKO shattered his sense of reality, i don't really know. All I know is Carson can't take a hint; you got beat Nick, take your spot at the back of the line with the rest of the garbage Fighty fighty persons. As for Dustin Delta, who's only claim to fame is a pointless feud with Reeves, the most least respected superstar in GHW history, and a fluke title win over Hayden Hardkore, after which the belt was depreciated during his reign of obscurity."
"Are you trying to say Delta isn't a threat?"
"Look who's putting two and two together. I'm not worrying the "Outcasts" or whatever he and Nick may be calling themselves. And for the record, I'm not paying any attention to the Cunt Theory or the Losers of Salem. The Tag Championships will be safe in Legion's court. None of those teams raise the hairs on my back.. i'm not getting any goosebumps. Last time I checked, Stone Orchard and Roadkill were retired, and long gone. There's nothing left but a bunch of wannabees and bottom feeders trying to vindicate themselves. They'll likely beat themselves into oblivion before any of them amounts to anything. Hell if we really have to defend the belts, the Legion may just implement the FreeBird rule, you know let the Cut-Squad toy around with the children for a few, allow me to rest up for things of much greater consequence."
"Such as?"
"Two things of course; being the most dominant King of Deathmatch Champion of all time, and winning back the New Age Championship. Hayden Hardkore's tenure at the top of the mountain is coming to a screeching halt, and I will be the man to knock him off the mountain. Dow Jones's stock isn't high enough in my opinion to garnish any championship match. Smarky Smark is trying to evade the inevitable and that's Hayden Hardkore vs Dominik Santiago. The Kiwi will undoubtedly beat Jones tonight in the Main Event, afterward which he will honor our agreement we created at Red, White and Bruised. As a man of honor, Hayden shook my hand, accepting a challenge in the near future. That future is Full Circle. I will defeat Hayden Hardkore for the New Age Championship, and become the Undisputed Champion of GHW and deliver Glory and Honor Wrestling into Salvation!"
"Any words for your opponent Jerry Nate? He's coming off an unsuccessful attempt to beat Hayden. He's got to be itching for another shot!"
Dominik chuckles to himself, almost deeming the question ridiculous.
"The only itch he's got is one that's in need of medical ointment. The Board got tired of me beating on the same punching bags, so they canned Combat and signed those losers to Triumph. What has Nate done recently but lose to Hayden, and run away from Jaggeroth."
Malibu shudders at the mention of the returned titan's name, her body wrinkling with uneasiness.
"Or he who's name must not be mentioned. I shouldn't even be competing tonight. I'm gonna go out there anyway, and do what I do always. Kick someone's teeth in, and drive their head into canvas with an SKO until their body goes still."
"Aren't you worried about any surprised Nate may have for you?"
"Yeah, i'm pretty scared."
Without another word, Dominik storms off the set. Malibu, looking both confused and anxious, lowers and shakes her head, turning her back to the camera as the feed fades to black.
