GHW Live! June 1st, 2010
Live from The GHW Arena in Boston, Massachusetts
------------------------------------------------------
Singles Match
Mighty Man Millson II vs. Henry Cooper
Winner: Henry Cooper
Thoughts: I liked how this match felt like a legit wrestling match-up. Every move made sense, and helped dictate a flow of action. I'd recommend to Millson to watch out for sentence structure, as it can disrupt reading, and also referring to participants in the match with interchanging names (ex. Henry, Cooper, The-whereever-Native, etc). Aside from that, excellent show in your debuts, I'm impressed!
Triple Threat
Tommy Musashi vs. Eddie Hall vs. Alex Night
Winner: Alex Night
Thoughts: Wow guys, I was impressed at the fact of the number of posts alone -certainly a proper triple threat match, and I know Triple Threats can be a bitch to do. Tommy nailed down great physical interaction and hyped up the weight disadvantage, but flourished with his agility. Eddie really brought out his brawling as well. This interaction of variations is what makes things interesting when going from match-to-match each week. Overall, Alex seemed to be the better man at really harping on characters and match psychology, and the fight seemed more logical and benefit as a whole.
Tag Match
GangstaBalls (Wreckingball & Gangsta) vs. Demolition Express (Spark & Enmity)
No Contest
Boston Street Fight
Chris Pyro vs. The Proeliator
Winner: The Proeliator
-MAIN EVENT-
Nexus Replay: Singles Match
Jaggeroth vs. Skull
Winner: Skull
Thoughts: It was quite close. Skull, you have excellent ring psychology (example being the abdominal stretch) and great use of commentary. The one thing I'd ask you to look out for is the high spots and when to use them, as well as in a situation such as this, with Jag being such a big guy, I'd anticipate you selling a bit more for him and giving him more control. However, the quality of action provided was able to fill in the cracks here. As for Jag, you possess a great ability to sell your character -definitely a key for maintaining an identity in the ring. Also, I did enjoy the technical strategies you applied when it came to submissions, but there was one or two references that I didn't quite understand anatomy-wise. Other than that, there was times that I didn't quite know what moves where happening, so I would encourage watching those. Regardless, NeXuS was a great learning experience for the both of you, and you two served as a proper main event.
