Beginning the first segment of the 26th of January Tuesday night Triumph, before the upcoming tag match scheduled to bring about the clash between the teams’ of Millson and Scally, Charlie Coors stands facing the scene. He sports a brilliant smile towards the audience watching, looking sharp and smart wearing his expensive brown suit. He is backstage carrying a microphone to perform his journalistic, interviewing of the talent duties. His guest of this time is the recently returned, Team Inglish leader, Kahlan.
Coors: Kahlan, it’s good to see you back here at the GHW after your long absence of the past four months. You did come back first apologising to the fans and then by making your impact through being the last to qualify for the Tower of London match, which is the first ever of its kind scheduled to take place this Sunday at the Dawn of Destruction pay-per-view. However, tonight you’re booked to go one on one against a rather, I think the relevant term to apply here is, a psychosocial opponent going by the name Amanda Nathan. What are your thoughts on this?
Kahlan feigns a delicate smile nodding self-consciously at Charlie’s words. She licks her lips and runs a hand back through her lavish blue hair, when the microphone is held up for her to speak.
“Allow me Charlie, to first remind everyone as to whom I am. My name is Kahlan Clarkson, or more widely used, just Kahlan. I am a multiple time World Tag Champion and the former one half of the most charismatic Tag team of this company’s history. I have single headedly blown up Stone Orchard and killed my partner Johnny Abs, yea you might remember that name, doing it. I’ve been screwed many a time by the authorities and have been called an anti-authoritarian, yet at other times I’ve sucked up to them like no one else has just to get at what I wanted. Through my years here I’ve been referred to with many aliases as well, the Ladder Queen for example. My third professional match of my career was a number one contender’s match for the new Age title against that time’s undisputed Champion and even though I didn’t win, me and Samoa Joe put on a match of the year worthy contest in a Ladder match the likes of which has never happened again. Through the times where the name Vladimir Tepes Strife scared the wits right out of the most celebrated superstars of the time I invented the Strife Slayer life style. That’s why they call me the True Strife Slayer.
I’ve competed with the very best this business had to offer and each one of those challenges has made a different, superior person out of me. So last Tuesday when I competed for the first time after my longest absence to date, I had one thing in mind. I had to qualify and win the Tower of London, but to do that I had to defeat Ollie Jay and Troy Meadows. They both are, on their own right, great athletes. They both have a bright future ahead of them, but on the night there was no stopping Kahlan. I was back with guns blazing and laid it on them both, hard. They took it all, sucked the punishment right up and came back with vengeance. Those are the signs of the toughest Fighty fighty persons there are. They took me to my limit. They wouldn’t budge, so I had to take my opportunity. Thats why they say I have more brains than tits. I stroke when the time was right. With O-Jay down and cold I unleashed the most devastating hold in the business, the Tea-Bag-Choke hold. I locked it tight and… BAM I had Troy tapping the hardest he had in his life. Don’t get this wrong now Charlie, the man is as tough as they come, maybe even tougher considering his rough ghetto background, but there is no escaping the Tea-Bag-Choke now.”
Kahlan takes a deep breath then brings up a can of Red Bull taking a long sip form it to wash down her built up excitement. It subsides to some degree and she brings her arm down to carry on.
“So there you have it, I am through to the main event of the things to come. This Sunday, I will enter a demonic structure that rivals the entire Nexus complex. Forgetting everything else within the structure, the sheer height you have to climb to get to the flags on itself makes this the most lethal match in GHW’s hard-core history. This Sunday five other men enter that cruel cage with myself making it mayhem! The unpredictability exceeds that of who is going to win and now the question in everyone’s mind is that who is going to survive. Without a shadow of a doubt, everyone’s limits will be tests and everyone’s careers will be on the line. I myself could end up forever rested in peace. The one thing I’m certain of however is that every single one of those other five participants would be scared. They would have this phobia of heights deep down in their guts; they would question themselves every time they think of climbing, but me… they don’t call me the Ladder Queen for nothing.”
Kahlan takes another sip of the Red Bull.
“But that’s on Sunday Charlie. Tonight as you mentioned, I have a psychopath to deal with, the clichéd phenomena that every chick bar me seems to eventually carry at one point or the other when they set foot into GHW. I hand it to Amanda though, she has tried. She has tried her butt off to be relevant. She has sold herself for a Nathan last name. She has defiled the purity of a larger than herself deity in Wolverina. Heck she has even dyed her hair blue to get a faint resemblance to yours truly. If nothing else, that shows me determination if a little desperate. She will show up and put on a hell of a fight I’m sure, even test my limits I have no doubt. But the bottom line is as I’ve promised only a week ago; I shall take it to her like never before. This isn’t going to be a warm up match; this is going to be a showdown because the Brit’s Blitz knows no other way. She brings with her one hundred per cent entertainment and the most devastating hold in wrestling today.”
Kahlan tips the can over her mouth once more for a final, longer session of Red Bull gulping. When she brings the empty can down she squeezes hard to make a ball out of it.
“Just remember when it’s all said and done with Charlie, I like me!”
With that Kahlan drops the balled can and walks away leaving Charlie alone.
Coors: Back to you Colin.
