"Ladies & Gentleman, our main event for this evening, THE SIXTH ANNUAL NEXUS DEATHMATCH!"
The sold-out GHW Arena erupts in a fan frenzy cheers and hollars as that special time of year has indeed arrived.
"As you can see, each one of these four cages includes three competitors each, TWO of these three men will move on to the second round. In cage number four, ONE competitor will advance due to the odd number of competitors."
"As per GHW ruling, Round One will commence at the start of the bell. In which the participants will fight until the doors situated in each cell roof will open. There will be NO disqualifications. There will be NO countouts. Every cell door is locked, and there will be NO possibility of interference."
"It's been nearly 13 months since our last NeXuS!" "I tell ya, its certainly been worth the wait considering the amazing talent in this year's contest!" "I think extending it to June has just given NeXuS that much more hype, Matt and Al.
DING! DING! DING!

(OOC: As I don't know who the Mystery Opponent is, I will leave them out for now. They could turn up half way through, with the referees allowing them entry into the Cage. Hope this is OK.)
The Gorilla and Jack Tracks are stood at opposite corners of the steel cage staring daggers at each other. Their other opponent is nowhere to be seen, so for now it is one-on-one.
Big Al: Well this mystery opponent sure is a mystery as he isn't even here. The Fuzz: Or she Al. I hope its a she, Wolverina, or Kahlan, I love Kahlan. Oliviera: Oh shut up you blithering idiot. Let’s just concentrate on the brawl at hand.
At the sound of the bell the half man, half monster that is The Gorilla charges towards Tracks with his arm outstretched looking to take the head off of his opponent. The agile Tracks attempts to manoeuvre out of the way but misjudges the distance of between the two Fighty fighty persons and the speed at which the Primate is charging him down. The tree trunk arm of The Gorilla smashes into the throat of the Indiana native and sends him crashing into the ground. Tracks rolls around holding his crushed throat as he struggles for breath. The Gorilla meanwhile flexes his unnaturally large muscles, beats his chest and roars loudly.
He picks Tracks up and scoops him over his shoulder but the slippery Jack slides down The Gorilla's back and gives him a short sharp toe kick to the back of the knee. The monster barely flinched so another kick was placed by Tracks...and another and another. No response. Jack hurries to the corner where a garbage can sits, its contents varied and strange. He takes out a sledge hammer and without a moment’s hesitation charges towards The Gorilla with it held over his shoulder. As the Gorilla turns around he sees a flash of white light and feels a pain on the front and back of his head. As the brilliant white light in front of his eyes begins to fade he sees Jack Tracks, air extraordinaire, flying through the air towards him. Tracks lands the Frog Splash and forces the air out of the Gorilla's lungs.
Big Al: It looks like Tracks' experience is helping him take the upper hand here. He just needs to keep this up until that cell is unlocked. The Fuzz: Well one-on-one is certainly an advantage here. While Jack has The Gorilla down he doesn’t have to worry about someone else attacking him, unless we see this "mystery opponent" tonight.

A commotion came from amidst the fans. The camera turned and searched for the source, finding it rather quickly. More fans were hurled aside as Nicholas Carson, dressed in blue jeans, a gray hoodie and black combat boots jumped the barricade at ringside. Instead of a nail gun, he carried one of Chris Pyro's legendary ninja swords that Nicky was able to buy off E-bay when Pyro's mediocre career ended and forced the Canadian to sell his stuff.
"Oh shit." "Is he the Mystery Opponent? Could it be?" "I dunno, Collin. As the old saying goes though, business is about to pick up!"
The notorious madman shoved a ref or two out of the way before he approached cage 4. Jack had his back to him, mulling over thoughts of barbarisms yet to be unleashed. Seeing this, Carson swung the sword at the cage a few times in his best Chris Pyro comical ninja tactic theatrics. The super sharp sword cut the cage like a knife would butter, which allowed the Narcotic Necromancer to enter with no problems whatsoever. The fans went bat shit crazy with cheers, and instantly cranked up the "One More Time" chants.
Nasty Nick wasted no time and made a beeline to the Speed Demon and drew back the sword with a mighty yell. Jack's ears picked up on the wail and he went on full alert. Tracks spun around and the maddening sight before him forced his body into a momentary fear freeze. His old enemy, the crazy old clown himself, was bearing down on him with a wild look in his eyes and a sword descending toward him rapidly. Luckily the Indianan had good reflexes, which enabled him to use the Sledgehammer as a blocking mechanism. It only lasted for one blow though. The sword cut through the wooden handle, leaving Jack with no other tool to use except fleet of foot.
"Run Jack run! The son of a bitch just tried to kill him! Get that nutjob out of there!" "Awww come on now. You know we can't have a match like this without the sickest inmate in the asylum present." "You want him out of there, Collin? Go in there and remove him yourself. Go on. Go ahead. Yeah thought so."
Tracks managed to nab a metal trash can and its lid, and brought them into the battle he thought he would never have again. The towering terror swung the sword again and again, its blade cutting through different sections of the can and lid turned shield each time. It didn't take long before the trash container was unusable, thus leaving Jack weaponless once more. The Pedal Pusher unwittingly backed himself into the corner, trapping himself in place as the monolith of a man came upon him yet again with the sword held high.
A jolt of pain swept through Nicholas's head seemingly out of nowhere. The Big Boot by the mammoth Gorilla had sailed in undetected and sent the Agent of Chaos against the ropes. The sword dropped and landed under the bottom rope against the cage, where hopefully it would stay so that he nor anybody else could use it. The change of momentum gave Jack an idea as he watched Gorilla lay into Carson with a series of hard kicks and punches. Tracks didn't like the idea, but it would work, at least for a bit. The Speed Demon stepped near the rookie behemoth and said a few words, then pointed to himself and back to Gorilla. A short stare was exchanged before Perfection Personified agreed with Jacks team-work proposal. The tandem moved the groggy legend to the middle of the ring before each darted to separate ring ropes, using them to rebound with good velocity. Along the way Tracks scooped up the broken half of the sledgehammer, and when he thundered back toward the teetering beast he slammed it low at the back of Carson's left leg. In conjunction with Jack's attack, Gorilla careened shoulder first into Carson's bread-basket - a Spear for the ages.
"Thank God the two found common ground. If not, we could have seen Jack sent out of here in a ambulance or worse." "Meh, I think Nicky was just trying to give him a good scare that's all." "I just wonder how long this alliance will last?"
As Matt spoke the words, Gorilla stood up and leveled Tracks with a murderous Lariat.
".... Nevermind."
Before Jack could even hit the mat he was scooped back up by the massive rookie, who easily (and ironically) lifted him overhead in a Gorilla Press position. The young blooded monster saw the hole in the cage made by Carson and jogged toward it with prey in tow. Horror filled the minds of those watching the carnage in Cage 4 as the talented Jack Tracks was hurled through the cage's vacancy and landed on the unprotected portion of the cement flooring outside. After disposing of one threat, the Gorilla set his eyes to the man who was born and bred for this environment.

After the two-man assault, the alliance of which was broken up by an opportunistic change in tune, the former King of the Deathmatch finds himself in a situation he's not quite used to. Down on his back, unarmed, and with an opponent who may very well have even greater pure physical strength than Carson himself! For once, he'll have to try and get out of this with skill and experience, not just smashing whatever is in front of him. Of course, it's not easy to think when, as is happening right now, the giant calling himself the Gorilla has a nice, big handful of your hair, and is raining down those gigantic fists right across the bridge of your nose. The blows crash against the former King of the Deathmatch's face like bricks, as the fairly sturdy leather mask does little to soften the impact.
With the largest man in the ring dazed from the repeated punches, and Jack Tracks laid out in a heap on the outside, The Gorilla has the perfect chance to go to town on one of the most dangerous men in the history of GHW. Knowing that this is his chance to make a statement, The Gorilla grins wide, as he wraps his hands around Nicholas Carson's neck. The vice-like grip starts sending the normally-dominant monster scratching and clawing at those meaty fingers, trying to break the choke before it gets any worse. But for his efforts, all he gets is to be on the receiving end of a downright scary show of strength, as The Gorilla actually lifts Nicky from the mat and on to his feet! The dazed glaze over the murderous giant's face melts away to a wide-eyed look of surprise at being lifted up like that, but doesn't get long to think about it, as the musclebound brute tosses Carson clear across the ring, the massive body bouncing very loudly across the canvas.
"Holy shit! Just how strong IS this guy? I don't think I've EVER seen Nicholas Carson get thrown around like this!"
"It's even more impressive when you factor in that he outweighs the Gorilla by almost 20 pounds."
"He's got the momentum on his side, and you know that adrenaline must be pumping! It's gonna take a damn tranquilizer rifle to stop this big beast at the rate he's going!"
Indeed, the monster of a man has the advantage, and he knows it. After two impressive displays of strength, the Gorilla makes sure everyone knows just who they're looking at now! Going to the corner corresponding to their cage, he lets out a mighty bellow to the crowd, giving them a classic inside flex, showing off the physique that just made two of GHW's finest look like toys in the ring! The crowd shoots him right down, booing loud and strong, as most of the fans in the audience either like the heroic, life-on-the-edge Tracks, or the violent veteran Carson. But he isn't phased. He just gives them all a smirk, and slowly turns around, admiring his handiwork as the former King of the Death Match tries to catch his breath.
The big lug seems rather pleased with himself as he begins to walk, very slowly, towards his foe, but before he makes more than three steps, his face ends up looking just like the choked Nicky! The crowd pops up again, as a familiar chain ties itself around the Gorilla's neck. On the other side of it is Jack Tracks, standing down outside the ring, having used the chain as a sort of lasso, nailing it right on the sweet spot. Jack runs over to the nearest corner and braces his foot against it, pulling the chain back as he goes! Although The Gorilla's muscle has served him well, simple physics and leverage work against him here, and he's forced to be pulled back, until his whole body is thrashing against the post. From the outside, Tracks carefully starts to climb up the apron, trying to stay at the right angle to keep the pressure on. With his prey entangled, Tracks is able to get himself all the way up to the turnbuckle, climbing up the side, using the close proximity to tighten up the pressure. And with the Gorilla now caged, Carson has had enough time to recover. More than enough, actually. It seems he was off having some discoveries of his own, as Nicky rolls into the ring after doing some hunting on the outside,a very familiar-looking wrench in his hand. Patting that wrench in his hand with a very wiiiide grin on his face, Nicky walks right up to the thrashing man-beast, and, with a single swipe, clocks him HARD upside the head, putting an immediate end to the thrashing about, as all the muscles in the world do nothing against a big piece of metal to the skull. As the Gorilla falls out of the ring, that leaves Tracks sitting on the turnbuckle, staring his old foe right in the eye.
And then he fills that eye with a nice big gob of spit. With just a hint of red in it.
"OOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!!!!"
The two constant foes stare each other down, slasher grins crossing their lips, even as spit rolls down Carson's face. Above them, the ceiling rises, signaling the beginning of the end of this act!

The agility of the high-flying Tracks kicks in like a shot full of adrenaline as he jumps from the turnbuckle straight to the side of the cage. He moans as the barbed wire wall starts catching hands, elbows and knees, in some places it simply scratches the skin, in others it draws blood. The Speed Demon's face freezes when he feels two enormous hands around his waist and in a moment of realisation, he knows that whether this is The Gorilla or Carson, he's in big trouble. His hands are shredded on the barbed wire as he is violently pulled down from the cage by Carson. Normally he would probably have ignored Tracks and climbed out himself but this cage only has one Fighty fighty person advancing so Nasty Nick must continue his reign of terror on Jack. With The Gorilla heaped in the corner of the ring and Tracks heaped up at the floor of the cage you would think that the Agent of Chaos would attempt to exit the cage, but no, he goes across to where The Gorilla lays to acquire the wrench he used earlier. He walks back to the agile Indianan who is now attempting to get back on his feet but before he can Carson swings the wrench down hard on the spine of him. Jack lets out a scream and collapses to the floor trying to dull the pain with his hand but to no avail.
Big Al: Oh my word! That didn't sound good, how is he not paralysed from that!? The Fuzz: I don't know Al, that scream sent a shiver down my spine though! I didn't like that.
The crowd are now split, half cheering for the mad man Nicholas Carson, the rest booing loudly at him and starting to chant "Jack Tracks...Jack Tracks...Jack Tracks". The insane Carson smirks at the crowd then brings the wrench above his head, planning on smashing the skull of Tracks to pieces. As he starts the downswing he feels that familiar pain in the back of his head that he had earlier in the match. Although this time it isn't the big boot of The Gorilla, it’s the gargantuan chain wrapped fist of his. The Agent of Chaos bounces off of the cage and staggers back towards the Primate where a second chain filled punch to the nose not only sends him careening to the floor but causes his nose to explode in a shower of red blood which covered his face. The Gorilla roars the loudest roar he has ever done and stares at the wriggling body of Nasty Nick. He disregards the chain and without a thought to his bleeding knuckles he mounts Carson and rains down a torrent of ham fisted punches on his head and body. The half man half monster is fixated on destroying him, completely forgetting that it was Tracks who was choking the life out of him.
Oliviera: Now this looks like a good match, blood everywhere, all sorts of weapons being used. Its blissful. The Fuzz: Its downright insane if you ask me. Big Al: I agree there Colin, at this rate none of these three guys are going to advance.
With the rain of terror from The Gorilla continuing on a now almost limp Carson, Jack Tracks has time to assess the situation. He picks up a steel chair and without a moment’s hesitation brings it down on to the Primates head. The punches stop, a welcome relief to Nick but the Primate barely moves. A second shot with it reveals much the same but this time the monster stands up and turns around, a confused look on his face. The Indianan takes a step back panic setting in on his face. Thinking quickly he throws the chair at The Gorilla who catches it but before the Primate can do anything with it Jack Tracks has leaped into the air and dropkicked the steel chair right into the face of The Gorilla. The gargantuan monster still stands but drops the chair but all he sees is the Speed Demon jump up from the mat and plant a second dropkick on his chest. As the Primate stumbles back he trips over the body of Carson and crashes to the mat. Tracks is again stood looking over two giants of the ring but the question is...how long will they be down for?

Errr...I'd personally prefer if we did just stick to the one-per rule EDIT: Welp, if we're going by best-foot-forward anyway, I suppose I can't get too upset over someone trying to give it another shot. I just really liked the visual mine ended on to lead into the closing momentss, I guess.

Jack picked up the chair again and made sure the beast was down with shot after shot, then turned and gave the same just beating to the future hall of famer. Jack had more history, or grudge, with Nicholas Carson but after seeing the colossus manhandled by the half man half best Gorilla, Tracks decided to focus his attention on the rookie. The Speed Demon smartly wedged the Primate's foot and ankle between the fold of the chair and ascended to the upper most buckle. Without theatrics to the adoring crowd, he flew from his perch and delivered a Mushroom Stomp that would make the Super Mario Brothers beam with pride. For once the Gorilla appeared human after all, his mouth screamed out in pain very human like, and his massive frame flailed around like a fish out of water. However, the monkey wrench was back in Carson's paw, and he had recovered enough to use it. Tracks had left his guard down and is surprised by the huge arm that wrapped around his head and squeezed him like grape. The monkey wrench came up, but instead of being dealt a blow to the face as expected, Carson placed it almost gently against the pretty white teeth of the Pedal Pusher. Severe dread came over the Race Car Guru as he felt the devise close tight against his front few teeth. He knew what was coming and started to squirm frantically and drove elbows into the big man's gut.
"He's going to rip out the man's mouth! The Gorilla has been immobilized with that chair to the ankle, and now Carson is going to re-arrange Jack's mouth. This is surreal!" "I think one of the voices inside Carson's head is a dentist! THIS IS MADNESS!!!!" "THIS! IS! NEXUS!"
As the battle waged between the old rivals, the Gorilla removed the chair from around his ankle and hobbled up, a discarded trash can at his side. He let out a monster roar and pulled a Weed-eater from the can, then busied himself pulling on the string handle until it finally came to life. Carson heard the familiar noise and a chill ran up his spine. He quickly released his catch and spun around, but it was too late. The whirling thickness of the weed eater string came across his face, clearing a ribbon or two of his flesh and sending him into full retreat. Tracks had fallen prone after his ordeal with Carson, and his exposed back was a bulls eye. The half man half beast pressed the lethal weapon against the Indianan's back and tore away at his flesh too, bringing a wail of severe agony from the former TV Champion's lips. The weapon suddenly stopped, causing confusion for the giant. He gave it a once over, shook it, tried again but no avail. The Gorilla looked at the sticker next to the gas tank and noticed it was made in a foreign land, so it all made sense. The Primate grabbed it by the other end and swung it around like a baseball ball, clocking Carson upside the head, the cheaply made gas tank cracking on impact and sending gasoline spilling everywhere.
The Narcotic Necromancer stumped around and fell over the trash can, spilling the contents of it out. Something from the can caught the Gorilla's eye, causing him to toss the weed eater aside. It was a huge tube with a depiction of him, or well a Gorilla on it. He picked it up and looked at it quizzically. Then it dawned on him. It was Gorilla Glue. Next came an epiphany. Proving he was more than just a mindless primate brute, the rookie tore off Nicholas's gray hoodie, exposing his torso bare. Then he ripped off the lid of the tube and emptied the entire contents all over the back of the Lord of Lunacy. From there he dragged Jack's battered form over and tossed him chest first onto Carson's back, before placing a boot on his spine and pressing him hard against the man Tracks had such a fierce rivalry with. The Gorilla stood on top of them for a good bit, which made the super strong glue dry and stick, then when it was done the Primate took a step back to survey his masterful work. Jack came to first and tried to push himself up but could not peel himself from Carson's back. A few more attempts were made but he could not free himself, then he saw the empty tube of Gorilla Glue and put two-and-two together.
"Talk about innovation! The Gorilla has literally Gorilla Glued his opponents together. They pose no threat now. He has this in the bag, folks. The Gorilla is going to advance in his very first NeXus! Unbelievable." "Oh the irony is too much to bare. This is great! I love this time of the year! Two men who hate each other are now stuck together and you know there's no way they'll be able to work in cohesion." "Somebody's getting a sponsorship endorsement after this!"
The Gorilla made his way to the cage wall and started to climb. Nicholas finally came to, where he quickly stood up battling it out with his human backpack. Despite Jack's best efforts to make Nasty Nick aware of what happened, the colossus would have none of it and continued to swat away with backwards over head smacks. It wasn't until Nicky Boy grabbed his foe's hair and pulled with all his might but couldn't rip him off that it all became clear to him. There was no time for sadness though, Jack would be damned if the Gorilla made his way to the next level in this manner. Tracks, obviously the more logical of the two, started barking orders and pointed to objects on the canvas. To his surprise Nicholas obeyed and picked up the long chain and monkey wrench, before making his way to the cage wall and climbing up it in hot pursuit of the slow moving Gorilla. As the Agent of Chaos climbed, GHW's resident MacGyver slid a few of the chain links over the mouth of the tool then frantically closed the wrench mouth shut - effectively making a modified ball and chain. Suspense filled the atmosphere as all eyes were on Cage 4. Carson sped up the cage as if he had just took a speed-ball, making up for lost time quickly and affording the Indianan the chance to use his clever weapon. When in close enough distance Jack swung it high but missed. Tracks tried again and again but fell short, until Nicholas maneuvered directly under the rookie. With one last mighty swing the tool connects with the beast's ankle, halting his progress and almost sending him into a plummet. Tracks swung a few more times, hitting the monster in the calf and back of the knee. Gorilla was befuddled up there and did not know what to do. His foes, on the other hand, began to work like a cohesive unit. Jack discussed something with the mad man, and Carson grabbed hold of Gorilla's injured ankle, while his Pedal Pushing human backpack tied one end of the wrench chain around said ankle and leg. From that point Jack placed the other end through the cage wall a few times and tied it into a huge chained knot. The Primate tried to pull free but could not and finally came to the realization that he had been ensnared. Nicky Boy maneuvered away to the right, just out of arms reach of the monster, before he continued to climb with Tracks still glued literally to his back. They stopped when eye level with the beast who had stuck them together, and shot him twin snarky looks. The Indianan raised a middle finger to him.
"Go back to the zoo, motherfucker."
Not to be outdone by his rival, Nicky Pooh reached into his pocket and tossed some sparkly stuff into the behemoth's eyes.
"POCKET GLITTER!!!!"
The pair then proceeded up toward the raised area, each man arguing with the other over who would *technically* be granted permission into the next stage.
