Monday Night Combat (3/12/07): The Cure to the Madness
SERGEANT
1. Mystery Madness Final
b0bby lashl3y v. Billy Styles (Single-docs)
Winner: b0bby lashl3y
Match Hype: It's come down to b0bby and Billy in the Finals of Sergeant Mystery Madness. Both believe that they are the cream of the crop in their division, so it's only fitting that they face off to see who goes to Total Carnage to face Sergeant Chemodeus.
LIEUTENANT
1. Craig J v. DarkLight (Cage-docs)
Winner: Craig J
Match Hype: Craig J and DarkLight will beat each other up in a steel cage tonight in the Lieutenant Division. Both are nearing a promotion to the Captain Division, so a victory tonight could establish good things to come.
2. Mike Lethal v. Wrecker (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Mike Lethal by default
Match Hype: Mike Lethal will gear up for Total Carnage when he gets in the ring tonight against Wrecker. Not knowing what he will exactly face in his House of Horrors match with Matthew Oliveira, Mike better keep his head in the game.
3. Mystery Madness
Hyperion v. Stevie Rock 2 (Table-docs)
Winner: Hyperion
Match Hype: Hyperion would love to face his tag team partner and current Lieutenant Champion DM Punk at Total Carnage, but he will have to go through both Stevie Rock 2 tonight in a Table match, and then Terremoto on Friday. It will be a difficult task, but Hyperion is determined to make it happen.
CAPTAIN
1. The Hyper Elf v. Malcriado Beast (Table-docs)
Winner: The Hyper Elf
Match Hype: The Hyper Elf wanted competition, and Malcriado heeded the call. MB may still be a Lieutenant Division Superstar, but he has beaten Hyper Elf before, and Zantazm has granted them their requested table stipulation. Has MB bitten off more than he can chew?
2. Non-Title Match
The Power House v. Bigguns88 (Single-docs)\
Winner: The Power House
Match Hype: The Power House defeated Captain Bigguns and 3 others not too long ago in a Fatal Fourway. This week he'll get the champ one-on-one. Bigguns needs to turn his luck around before Total Carnage, or he could be off the throne soon as the Captain Champion.
3. Mystery Madness Final
trickshot v. Black Dead (Table-docs)
Winner: trickshot
Match Hype: In the Cinderella story of the month, trickshot has found himself in the Mystery Madness finale against another young and up and coming Superstar, Black Dead. Whoever wins will get their first Title shot at Total Carnage, and it would be a well-deserving Title shot. This pairing is a great example to other young or new talent that anything is possible.
COLONEL
1. Raju_The_Bomber v. Lt. Commander Worf (Single-docs)
Winner: Raju_The_Bomber
Match Hype: Raju has informed staff that he is ready to get back in the mix of things and prove his worth in the Colonel Division. Gold is on his mind, and he will try to go through former two time Colonel Champion Tai this week in a classic singles match.
2. The Masterpiece 3 v. StrikerLT (Table-docs)
Winner: StrikerLT
Match Hype: What would GHW and Monday Night Combat be without Dirk "The Jerk" Grey? Dirk will compete against StrikerLT in a tables match this week. Striker is looking to make his move in the Colonel Division, and that first step could be tonight.
3. Mystery Madness Final
Gnarfflinger v. Zantazm (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Gnarfflinger
Match Hype: The Colonel Division Mystery Madness Final pits Gnarff the Butcher against General Manager Zantazm. Whoever can climb the ladder and grab the suitcase will find a title shot inside at Total Carnage. Gnarff has vowed to take Hawkeye's title, but will Zantazm prove to be a bigger roadblock than he expects?
GENERAL
1. Maddogg v. Dangerous Man Dan (Cage-docs)
No Contest
Match Hype: Maddogg came very close to defeating ForSakeN in the finals of General Mystery Madness and earning a title shot at Total Carnage, but the champ showed once again that he is a dominant force in GHW. This week Maddogg will take on DMD, which should shed a lot of light on who should challenge ForSakeN next. Only problem is, ForSakeN has his choice of opponent this Sunday.
TAG TEAM
1. Mystery Madness Final
Latin Attack v. Punk and Hyperion (docs)
Winner: Latin Attack
Match Hype: It's finally here. The long-awaited rematch between the Bronze Champs and Punk and Hyperion. The bitterness is there between these two teams, and in order for Punk and Hyperion to win the Bronze belts, they will need to defeat Latin Attack tonight and then again at Total Carnage.
2. Mystery Madness Final
RECK v. Predators (docs)
Winners: RECK
Match Hype: Silver Champs RECK will face the Predators in the Mystery Madness Silver Division Final. RECK will have a busy week when they defend their Silver Titles at Total Carnage Sunday.
