Monday Night Combat (3/10/08): A Grudging Affair
LIEUTENANT
1. Non-Title Match
Tommy Musashi (c) v. Shocker (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Tommy Musashi
Notes: Tommy might get the shock of his life if a no-namer can beat him tonight in a ladder match to start off the show.
2. The Graceland Gauntlet Match 2 (Boxing Match)
Harold the Pretzel Man v. Agent Tran (LMS-each pick 4 Total staff)
Winner: Agent Tran
Notes: Ito Kain's bizarre Graceland Gauntlet continues with match 2. Harold takes on Agent Tran in a Boxing match. Every main act has a side show...
3. Mystery Madness
RJ Wild vs. ForSakeN (Table-docs)
Winner: ForSakeN
Notes: RJ Wild's good fortune has run out, and now the beast ForSakeN will physically do to RJ Wild what I will verbally do to him after Total Carnage: Eliminate him.
CAPTAIN
1. Mystery Madness
Truco vs. Aewyre (Single-docs)
Winner: Truco
Notes: I can't pronounce his name, but Aewyre is showing some fire and passion lately in the Mystery Madness Tournament. If he can beat Truco and keep going, I may have to learn how to say his name.
2. Mystery Madness
Dyna Mike Duncan vs. Psycho Savage (Cage-docs)
Winner: Dyna Mike Duncan
Notes: Duncan continues to shine, and so does Psycho Savage. Arguably this month's strongest Captain Superstars will fight in a cage till only one survives. My money is still on Duncan, and I hope he comes prepared.
3. Non-Title Match
Will Powers v. Skull (Skull chooses-docs)
Winner: Will Powers
Notes: My enforcer Skull still has possession of the real Captain Championship, but he may have to surrender it after agreeing to fight Will Powers in a rematch from DoD. Good thing for Skull, Will was naive enough to let him choose the match type.
COLONEL
1. Triple Threat
Matthew Oliveira v. Kevin Kbango v. Terremoto (docs)
Winner: Matthew Oliveira
Notes: Matt thinks he can stick his nose in my business, so I will make sure that his life in the ring will continue to be irksome. He gets two opponents tonight when he faces Kevin Kbango and the rather large, Terremoto.
2. Mystery Madness
Muhammad Hassan vs. Slim Shady (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Slim Shady
Notes: Jake Steel v. Slim Shady in a ladder match. I couldn't be happier with this pairing and match-up, and will look forward to seeing who has the guts to move on.
3. Mystery Madness
Ben Wallace vs. HawkEye (LMS-docs)
Winner: HawkEye
Notes: Ben Wallace has made it far in Mystery Madness, but I'm afraid that his run has come to an end. He managed to select HawkEye in this round, and LMS is the theme. The stretcher and medics will be waiting nearby, much to my pleasure.
4. Special Debut (Non-Title) (Referee-Pennylane)
Eric The Torture v. Big Daddy (Single-2-2-0)
Winner: Eric The Torture
Notes: Eric The Torture makes a special debut tonight when he takes on the Colonel Champion Big Daddy in a singles match refereed by Pennylane. Penny has vowed to call this one down the middle after BD and ETT exchanged words last week. ETT has the chance to make a quick statement in GHW.
GENERAL
1. YOUNG GANGSTA v. I Always Lose (Single-docs)
Winner: YOUNG GANGSTA
Notes: YG faces I Always Lose tonight, who didn't lose all of his matches this month. In fact, he was decent, but I'm not convinced that he can ever win consistently.
2. Mystery Madness
StrikerLT vs. Luke Kinkade (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Luke Kinkade
Notes: Luke Kinkade has the job to rid StrikerLT from Mystery Madness tonight, and I'll be damned if he doesn't. After what StrikerLT, Martin Prince and Zantazm pulled on me last week, I should fire them all and eliminate Striker immediately from the Tourney. Instead, I will take more pleasure in seeing him defeated tonight and then tortured at Total Carnage.
3. Grudge Rematch (Best of 3 Falls)
Pennylane v. Black Dead (Singles-docs)
Winner of first fall: Black Dead
Winner of second fall: Pennylane
Winner of third fall and overall winner: Black Dead
Notes: Pennylane did not take kindly to Black Dead's remarks after their Mystery Madness match a week ago. Penny believed that he won fair and square, but BD called it a fluke. Tonight all arguments will be put aside as they battle in a best of 3 falls match.
TAG TEAM
1. Debut Match
Anger Management v. Ghetto Assault (docs)
Winner: Ghetto Assault
Notes: Anger Management returned as a tag team on Mayhem, and left off where they started: in the loss column. Tonight they get Ghetto Assault, and I have a feeling there will be more than just assault in this one.
2. Mystery Madness Finale (Regular Tag)
The Beginning of Enlightenment vs. Legends Running Riot (docs)
Winner: The Beginning of Enlightenment
Notes: Alas, one of the most interesting matchups will take place in the Bronze Division, and it will be in the Mystery Madness Finale for the #1 Contendership. Mr. Duncan and his protoge, Genesis 1 will have their teams face off, and it will tough to see the friends possibly colliding.
3. Mystery Madness Finale (Hardcore)
Crash N Splash vs. The Wild Closet (1-1-1)
Winner: The Wild Closet
Notes: Crash N Splash are actually making a splash for once as they make it to the Silver Division Mystery Madness Finale. This one will be hardcore, and it will be for a chance to compete for gold at Total Carnage.
4. Mystery Madness Finale (Regular Tag)
Flying Pans vs. Domination (docs)
Winner: Flying Pans
Notes: For the third straight month in a row, Flying Pans are in the Finale of the Gold Tag Team Division Tournament. They are 1 for 2 with no gold to show for it. Can they take out Domination and finally beat the Champs at the PPV?
LIEUTENANT
