Monday Night Combat (3/17/08): Handi-Capped
LIEUTENANT
1. RJ Wild v. Harold the Pretzel Man (Harold's choice-docs)
Winner: RJ Wild
Notes: In what may be RJ Wild's last single match here in GHW, he takes on Harold the Pretzel Man to start off Combat. To make it even more memorable, I am allowing Harold to pick the match type. Harold can't get his hands on Saton who he beat for his last singles match, so I figure Saton's former tag team partner will do.
2. The Graceland Gauntlet Match 4
Travis Truth v. Kid Soldier (Table-docs)
Winner: Travis Truth
Notes: Stage 4 of The Graceland Gauntlet features Kid Soldier taking on the winner of match 3. Tables will be set up, and the winner will go on to Total Carnage for the closing match of this mini-tournament.
3. Mystery Madness Finale
ForSakeN v. Aiden Gore (LMS-docs)
Winner: ForSakeN by default
Notes: It will be a fitting LMS match to end Mystery Madness in the Lieutenant Division, and it will feature two veterans duking it out. The match may begin with a white canvas, but I assure you that it will have some nice red texture by the end.
CAPTAIN
1. Genesis 1 v. Sergei Kravinoff (Single-docs)
Winner: Genesis 1
Notes: Dyna Mike Duncan wanted his protege Genesis 1 to face Sergei last week, but G1 had yet to make it to the main roster. Times have changed quickly as G1 was just called up and ready to do some early damage on Sergei before his huge triple threat title match this upcoming Sunday.
2. Non-Title Match
Will Powers v. TC Carroll (Ladder-docs)
Winner: TC Carroll
Notes: Will Powers has been jarring with DMD, Truco and Sergei for a week now in hopes to get the psychological edge before he defends his title at Total Carnage. A ladder victory over TC Carroll will give him some morale too.
3. Mystery Madness Finale
Truco v. Dyna Mike Duncan (Cage-docs)
Winner: Dyna Mike Duncan
Notes: The match that Captain Division fans have been waiting for is finally here. Truco takes on Mike Duncan in the Mystery Madness Finale. DMD has been dominant up till now, and it will take a hearty effort by Truco to defeat him in a cage. Who is going to Total Carnage?
COLONEL
1. Luther v. Skull (Single-docs)
Winner: Luther
Notes: Skull is looking good lately, and it's only a matter of time before he punishes Colonel Superstars left and right. He gets Luther tonight, and the Holy Roller needs to get things moving for himself.
2. Eric The Torture v. Big Closet (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Eric The Torture
Notes: ETT was phenomenal in his debut last week against the Colonel Champ, but some say he couldn't have gotten it done without the help of his friend and special guest referee, Pennylane. Tonight ETT is all by himself when he faces Big Closet in a ladder match. Are we going to see more of the same?
3. Handicap Match
Matthew Oliveira v. Demonic Gangstas (docs)
Winner: Demonic Gangstas
Notes: The handicap theme of the night begins with this match when Matthew Oliviera takes on the Silver Tag Team Champions, Demonic Gangstas. I am going to soften up all of my Dirty Laundry List Superstars for Total Carnage, and they will wish they never screwed with me in the first place.
4. Non-Title Match
Big Daddy v. Muhammad Hassan (Table-docs)
Winner: Big Daddy
Notes: The Colonel Champ was outnumbered last week in his match against Eric The Torture, but it was his big mouth that got him into that trouble. Tonight he takes on Jake Steele in a table match in preparation for his first title defense this Sunday.
5. Mystery Madness Finale
Slim Shady v. Hawkeye (Single-docs)
Winner: HawkEye
Notes: The Mystery Madness Finale for the Colonel Division features Slim Shady and Hawkeye in a classic singles match. Both of these guys are worthy of winning this tournament with their performances thus far, but I hope we get a barn burner tonight to finish off a great month.
GENERAL
1. Triple Threat Match
Gnarfflinger v. Black Dead v. StrikerLT (docs)
Winner: Black Dead
Notes: Gnarff and Black Dead had some words for each other last week, and then Striker intervened to put in his two cents. I don't care for Striker very much, so I'm pitting him in a triple threat against BD and Gnarff. Striker is going to suffer on Sunday, but why wait until then to begin the torture?
2. Handicap Match
Martin Prince v. Original Gangstas (docs)
Winner: Martin Prince
Notes: Martin Prince has stubbornly defended Zantazm, and now he will pay. He gets to face the Gold Tag Team Champs in a handicap match tonight, and I will be grinning ear to ear when they rip him to shreds.
3. Non-Title Handicap Match
Zantazm v. Die in the Closet (docs)
Winner: Die in the Closet
Notes: Much like his friend Martin, Zantazm is going to feel the pain tonight, and that works just fine with me as he takes on Die in a Closet. I hope that afterwards he gets stuffed into a closet to rot, and then I'll fire his ass on Sunday.
4. Mystery Madness Finale
Luke Kinkade v. The Overtaker (LMS-docs)
Winner: Luke Kinkade
Notes: Luke Kinkade and OT have made it to the finals, and it's not going to be easy to win Mystery Madness for either of them when they face off in a LMS. Whoever survives better take out Zantazm at Total Carnage or I may have to turn to a Plan B.
TAG TEAM
1. Triple Threat Bronze Bedlam
Fairy Warriors v. Allaryian Warriors v. Legends Running Riot (docs)
No Contest
Notes: The Bronze Division needs some bedlam, so I threw together 3 strong teams to mix it up tonight.
2. 85th Vertical v. Power Junkys (docs)
Winner: Power Junkys
Notes: 85th Vertical is starting to heat up, which means bad things for every team in the Silver Division. Power Junkys are no slouches though, so expect this one to be closer than it may appear.
3. The Wild Closet v. Ghetto Assault (docs)
Winner: The Wild Closet
Notes: It's going to the streets tonight when Ghetto Assault face The Wild Closet in tag action. I'm not sure what team wants it the most, but both need a win to keep their teams noticeable in their division.
LIEUTENANT
2. The Graceland Gauntlet Match 4
Travis Truth v. Kid Soldier (Table-docs)
Winner: Travis Truth
Notes: Stage 4 of The Graceland Gauntlet features Kid Soldier taking on the winner of match 3. Tables will be set up, and the winner will go on to Total Carnage for the closing match of this mini-tournament.
3. Mystery Madness Finale
ForSakeN v. Aiden Gore (LMS-docs)
Winner: ForSakeN by default
