Monday Night Combat (4/28/08): Xantland gets Revenge
LIEUTENANT
1. Xantland Revenge Match
RhinoMan and ForSakeN v. Ito Kain (docs)
Winner: Ito Kain
Notes: Team Japan has nothing on Xantland, and tonight will prove it. The first victim of Team Japan will be Ito Kain, and he will take on the Lieutenant Champion ForSakeN and Xantland's finest ex-Hardcore Champion, RhinoMan. Elvis has left the building...
2. Hardcore Match
The Legend Slayer v. Hyperion (Single-1-1-1)
Winner: Hyperion
Notes: The Legend Slayer is eager to fight some hardcore superstars from his past, and Hyperion seems willing to give him some action. Has Hyperion bit off more than he can chew in his new Division?
3. Ultimate X Qualifier
Ultimate Gene v. Perfect Combination (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Ultimate Gene
Notes: Ultimate X is coming to NeXuS once again, and to get things started, we will have our first qualifying match tonight on Combat. Ultimate Gene will take on Perfect Combination in a ladder match. Qualifying means a Title shot, so the stakes are extremely high.
CAPTAIN
1. Xantland Revenge Match
Tommy Musashi v. Allaryian Warriors (docs)
Winner: Tommy Musashi
Notes: I don't care if Tommy is a Surge superstar. Tonight, he's on Combat, and he's gonna get his behind whipped by two of Portugal's finest, the Allaryian Warriors. Xantland will get revenge however I please, and since Tommy opened his mouth in the ring, he gets to add a loss to his record...and some bruises. We'll see who's weeping now.
2. Table Tournament
The Immortal Mortal v. Truco (Table-docs)
Winner: Truco
Notes: The 2nd round of the Captain Table Tournament gets going as The Immortal Mortal takes on the winner between Truco and Sergei Kravinoff. I could easily see one of these three winning the entire tournament.
3. Table Tournament
Shocker v. Scotty Dreamer (Table-docs)
Winner: Shocker by default
Notes: Shocker and Scotty looked good last week in their respective table tournament matches, but now only one of them will keep riding the road to success after this match.
COLONEL
1. Debut Match
Frog man v. Malcriado Beast (Table-docs)
Winner: Malcriado Beast
Notes: The newest high flying superstar in GHW will debut tonight against Malcriado Beast. MB is a veteran who knows how to deliver pain to his opponents. Frog man will have to tire him out to have any chance of getting him through a table.
2. Xantland Revenge Match
HawkEye v. Die in the Closet (docs)
Winner: Die in the Closet
Notes: The third Team Japan victim tonight is HawkEye. He will be made an example out of by my friend Black Dead and his tag team partner Big Closet. I have a feeling I know who is going to die in the closet after this is all said and done.
2. TimeSplitters
Skull v. Red X (Single-docs)
Winner: Skull in 36 moves
Notes: TimeSplitters had Superstars rushing to finish their matches last week, and we are about to get more of the same tonight. In the second set of matches, Red X takes on Skull. Skull won his first match whereas Red X wasn't so lucky. This is make it or break it for Red X.
3. TimeSplitters
Muhammad Hassan v. Dyna Mike Duncan (Single-docs)
Winner: Muhammad Hassan in 7 moves
Notes: DMD was impressive in his Colonel debut last week when he defeated his opponent in only 8 moves. Can he keep up his fast pace against the wily Jake Steele?
4. TimeSplitters
Billy Styles v. Backyard Brawler 2 (Single-docs)
Winner: Backyard Brawler 2 in 13 moves
Notes: BB2 had a tough match with Bigguns last week, but pulled out a victory after 23 moves. He'll need to improve on that over Billy Styles tonight if he wants to finish with the fastest score after next week. Billy needs to get on the board.
5. TimeSplitters
Bigguns88 v. Slim Shady (Single-docs)
Winner: Slim Shady
Notes: One of these Superstars will taste his first victory tonight, and one of these Superstars will be eliminated from the Tournament. It's anybody's guess who will do what, but they better do it quickly.
GENERAL
1. The Masterpiece 3 v. I Always Lose (Single-docs)
Winner: I Always Lose
Notes: Brian needs to get on a winning streak, and being that he's from Xantland, I'm giving him an opponent who cannot win. It doesn't matter what you had for dinner! Duh, you idiots, he always loses. Brian, I can't help you out anymore with this match.
2. Xantland Revenge Match
StrikerLT v. The X Perience (docs)
Winner: The X Perience
Notes: Striker is the last victim of Team Xantland tonight, and I will take X treme pleasure when The X Perience dismantles him. After it's all said and done and the night is over, everyone will realize that my great homeland of Xantland rules the world, regardless of that small hiccup a Sunday or two ago.
3. Money in the Bank Qualifier
Black Dead v. Gnarfflinger (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Black Dead
Notes: Black Dead has one of the most important matches of his career tonight, and that goes for Gnarff the Butcher as well. The two will collide in a ladder match to qualify for this month's Money in the Bank Rumble at NeXuS.
4. Non-Title Match
Luke Kinkade v. The Overtaker (Table-docs)
Winner: The Overtaker
Notes: The General Champ will shut the mouth of The Overtaker once again tonight when he slams him through a table. I'm looking forward to this one.
TAG TEAM
1. The Beginning of Enlightenment v. Truth & Consequences (docs)
Winner: Truth & Consequences
Notes: BoE has moved up to a new division, and awaiting them will be Truth and Consequences. Things are much different when the pool is much bigger and deadlier. BoE may find this out tonight.
2. #1 Contender for Silver Tag Team Championship
Crash N Splash v. Demonic Gangstas (docs)
No Contest
Notes: Demonic Gangstas got foiled by Power Junkys at World Warz once again, and now they will have to get through Crash N Splash to get another Silver Tag Title shot. With promotion to the Gold Division right around the corner, they better hope they cash in on this opportunity.
3. ReVamped v. Original Gangstas (docs)
Winner: Original Gangstas
Notes: ReVamped and Original Gangstas are two teams I don't really care for, but that just makes it more fun for me to watch them beat each other up.
LIEUTENANT
