Friday Night Mayhem (7/11/08): Winners Get Free Slurpees
LIEUTENANT
1. Huck Wade v. Ito Kain (Single-docs)
No Contest
Notes: Huck Wade wants to take over the Lieutenant Division like he dominated the Hardcore Division. The eclectic Ito Kain stands in his way tonight, but it's going to be a rumble for the ages next Monday on Combat as all eligible Lieutenants battle to be on top.
2. Rated R Golden Star v. Tito Ortiz (Cage-docs)
Winner: Tito Ortiz
Notes: Rated R Golden Star and Tito Ortiz will fight inside a cage tonight. Looking at Tito's past profession in MMA, this might just be the most comfortable match he could get.
CAPTAIN
1. Cyclone v. HaydenHardKore (Cage-docs)
Winner: Cyclone
Notes: Cyclone and The Grammar Fairy will fight in a deadly cage match tonight. Cyclone has to find a way to somehow out-maneuver the unorthodox Fairy without getting dust sprinkled all over him.
2. Aewyre v. WildMan Rambo (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Aewyre by default
Notes: Aewyre will take on the hard-to-find WildMan Rambo in a ladder match tonight. Aewyre hasn't been able to climb the Captain mountain yet, but he continues to plug away. Time will tell.
3. Chad J0hns0n v. swanton john (Single-docs)
Winner: swanton john by default
Notes: Chad J0hns0n received a BYE in the last round of Jack of All Trades, but tonight he is back in action against swanton john. Chad, Samoa Machine and JH777 are the only three left in the Captain Division's Jack of All Trades Tournament, and one of them will be named the new Captain Champion at Red, White and Bruised.
COLONEL
1. Malcriado Beast v. RJ Wild (Cage-docs)
Winner: Malcriado Beast
Notes: Malcriado Beast will fight in a cage against his latino counterpart, RJ Wild. The friends will have to put all alliances aside and gut this one out.
2. Fatal Fourway
War Child v. Truco v. ValKyrie KD v. Dark Lord (docs)
Winner: ValKyrie KD
Notes: It's been a while since we've seen a fatal fourway, but tonight the Colonel Division will host a jam-packed one. War Child, Truco, Kelly Duncan and Dark Lord will all be involved, and with a lineup like this, the rest of the Colonel Division should take the night off and watch.
3. Psycho Savage v. Backyard Brawler 2 (Table-docs)
Winner: Psycho Savage
Notes: Psycho Savage is very close to being an impact in the Colonel Division, but he needs to take that last step to get there. Backyard Brawler will do everything in his power to stop him and slam him through some hardware.
4. CHARISMATIC HARDY v. frog man (frog man's choice[Single]-docs)
Winner: frog man
Notes: frog man is still looking to hop out of the funk that he's been in, so I'm giving him the opportunity to name his match tonight against Charismatic Hardy. CH, meanwhile, is looking to help his Latino Heat stable gain some momentum going into their stable war at the PPV.
5. Jack of All Trades
Genesis 1 v. Shocker (Cage-docs)
Winner: Genesis 1
Notes: Genesis got a bit of rest from round 3 of Jack of All Trades, but now he has to get inside a cage in the semis. His opponent is Shocker, who is fairly new to the Division. Is Shocker going to get a wake-up call or will he continue to defeat the odds put against him?
GENERAL
1. Martin Prince v. Slim Shady (Single-docs)
Winner: Slim Shady
Notes: Martin Prince lost to his Crimson ally, YOUNG GANGSTA, last week, and now he has to face Slim Shady in a singles match. Maybe if Martin ditched Crimson he could get back into some sort of contention or spotlight.
2. Hardcore Cage
The Masterpiece 3 v. Eric The Torture (Cage-1-1-1)
Winner: Eric The Torture
Notes: Brian and Eric are not very fond of each other, which leads to this very match. Eric wants to get hardcore, and he'll get his wish...inside a cage. The brutality that will follow this one will create an even bigger divide between the Bulldogs and Crimson.
3. Non-Title Match
Luke Kinkade v. YOUNG GANGSTA (LMS-docs)
Winner: YOUNG GANGSTA
Notes: Luke Kinkade is the revered General Champion who is simply two steps ahead of his competition. Tonight, he will go through the motions and hurt YG in their scheduled LMS match.
TAG TEAM
1. Bulldog Savages v. Sevenfold Riot (docs)
Winner: Sevenfold Riot
Notes: Bulldog Savages didn't realize their goal of winning Jack of All Trades this month, but they did put up a strong effort and prove that they're part of the elite in the Silver Division. Tonight they take on the fairly new team called Sevenfold Riot.
2. 85th Vertical v. Allaryian Warriors (docs)
Winners by default: Allaryian Warriors
Notes: 85th Vertical and Allaryian Warriors are consistent teams that know how to fight tag team matches. Their battle tonight will illustrate this point, and I'm sure this isn't the last they will see of each other.
3. Bronze Tag Team Championship (Titles switch on No-show)
The Wild Childz (c) v. Sour Apples (docs)
Winners and NEW Bronze Tag Team Champions: Sour Apples
Notes: Sour Apples are the #1 contenders, and they will get their much deserved Title shot tonight against the Bronze Champs, The Wild Childz. The only stipulation in this match is that if the Champs no-show, the belts will switch hands. Is GHW ready for new Bronze Tag Team Champs, or will the vets prevail?
