This might be an unpopular idea but we could just merge WNG and SND together into one show for the active members and then have a house show where we stick all the inactive, semi active and new members. Then when new members prove themselves to be active they get promoted to the main show and when active members no-show they get demoted to doing dark matches. It's a bit harsh and would probably f**k up the all titles by merging the shows but it's an idea.
I like the magazine and sponsor ideas though.

I ike the sponser ideas too, not too sure about the merge though... I am in two minds about it. People who end up on the 'crappy' show may just leave anyway then we are right bac here complaining about inactivity, on the other hand, at least one show wil be having gret matches night after night.
Hmmmmm, thinking time methinks

I think the two-show format that we're working in works for now. If somebody isn't a good RPer, they'll probably leave anyway, as that's what they've been doing. Also, after the TV Title was created, the last thing we need is for there to be less belts.
I like the magazine and sponsor ideas as well.

...then again...we could... hahaha, nice. Well sponosrs are a good idea. Along with that the magazine. I, myself, am not a huge fan of a merge. The only idea i have thats not so much spamming is to affiliate some feds with ours.

I hate to suggest this, but maybe we should do what that one other fed is doing and like.. send messages to other smaller feds' members. Ik it sounds bad, but if one big fed survives I think its okay if a few little ones die. No, that's a terrible idea in my opinion. If a "big" fed has to leech and prey on the weaker feds for the sole purpose of their survival then the question really is, which is the one that's dying? Stealing other members is a sign of weakness and GHW is anything but. This place started off small and worked it's way up to be fairly significant, and in the process doing it the true way. Dwell on this as you'd like, but that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

See, I have a small problem with a few of these ideas. I have to say thanks to Tripp for the idea, but yeah, part of what drove the old merge of SCW and GHW was the fact that bigger feds were trying to pick our members up, so if we took that, we'd be selling out in a sense. As far as the sponsorship idea, I like the basis of it, but not so much the sponsor part.
Being able to reward people for their work is good, but it seems like that doesn't help. That was the reasonings behind the money system, the top 10, the awards and a few other ideas and none of which have really seemed to help to be frank.
What I really want to focus on is that fact that most people mentioned that RPing has been hard because they just have been so busy. More rewards aren't going to help that and I think everyone has their heart in it, just not the time.
So, that being said, is there any ideas anyone has that might make posting a bit easier for people's schedules?
I'm not a big fan of merging the shows back together, but I've been thinking that we may need to. I mean, if we only have 10 or so guys that can be active enough to post decently throughout the week, it makes sense to gather them together. Also, that would be better than making 1 show for the inactive guys and one for the active because this way no one is discouraged and one show doesn't get a bad rep.
Another idea I have is maybe we could start having members message their GM through the week to inform him they are up for a match. That way if someone is inactive or just busy, they don't have to do anything and aren't being booked for matches they can't make.

I like the magazine or sponsorship idea as I can come up with sponsors all day and even make a contract where you have to make several promos in order to fill the contract. Something along those lines might help people to get juices flowing for RPs and could make for some really interesting commercials. Also if we do the magazine with my nack for making believable articles and commercial in the promo section if anyone has read and seen. But I if there is a concensous on a sponsorship type thing I can pull a lot of sponsors both real and fake.
But I do agree that we need to find a way to make it easier for people to RP not only storylines but other things as well. But Maybe I will pull a trial sponsorship idea and see what type of response it gets. But in all honesty I would love to see two Fighty fighty persons get together and come up with a storyline idea and then write it out over a month period or several month period. That would probably make for some damn good reading material. Basically the thing to remember is you want to use promos and ring time to tell a story and then when you have your matches make it a continuation of the story. Though advice like that coming from an old man like me is probably not needed ROFL. But if two or more Fighty fighty persons have an idea for a story and need some help to get it started drop me a pm and I will see what I can do.

Old man?! whatever But when I reflect on my past...Dudes, this 'Emblem Fired' thing is my first REAL RP! Normally, I would just post in the ring and see who would catch the bait, and fight with the guy after some thrash talkin'. All I could say is that some people should just try it, go on and post XD If possible, I'll catch your bait too!

This first sentence is going to sound less than nice, but I think one reason that RPing has dropped off is that a bunch of the best RPers have left and not enough good new ones are coming in. I've seen quite a few people here arrive, job, and leave. Maybe one show is the solution until we get good and literate RPers who will stay a while, because the current roster is thinning more and more each day. Therefore, in reference to another thread, reopening the RP School under Emblem could help fix that problem. The problem as I see it lies in quality, which then hurts the quantity. GHW isn't doing many things different from a few months ago, when there was plenty of activity.
Of course, a few months ago was in the summer when everyone was out of school, so maybe waiting until summer to see if activity picks up is an option. It's definitely the best time to implement any big new ideas.

This is going to sounds so out of character for me, but I'm just going to say a few things. I think our biggest problem is WWE's problem right now. GHW isn't PUSHING the new stars good enough. No, I don't mean we should let them win, but they aren't getting enough attention. The ones in the limelight, Vlad, Olive Oil, Dreamer, KB, Hayden, Diamond, Carter, HW, and the rest of our major 'draws' are the ones that are always getting the major focus (i.e., pics on banners at top of page, promotion of certain matches, top of the match-card pulls). And I know a lot of the guys that I mentioned might take it the wrong way, but I don't mean it in a bad way. You guys have worked very hard to become as good as you are, but if GHW continues to FOCUS on ONLY our top draws, then when eventually, those people leave, there won't be anyone to replace them in the spotlight. It's gonna be the same situation as the WWF/WWE when The Rock, Stone Cold, Hogan, and many others left, they have no one now. I think we should really take an interest in new, ACTIVE talent that show incentive to participate and even put them against big name guys, because when you think about, it gets boring seeing the same really good guys face each other, even if the new guy gets killed, we are showing them what competition is like, and if they really do care about RPing, they will work to get better, and they only way they will get better is if they face really good people and learn off of their mistakes. They won't learn anything if they're continuously stuck in the under-cards and are stuck facing other noobs like them. Oh, and just another example so you guys won't get mad at me. The reason I pointed out the big name guys is because if we keep relying just on them, then they are going to get sick of having to be the one to ALWAYS be the one to save the show. So it is definitely NOT an attack on you guys, but actually something that I fear would happen to our really good RPers that I don't want to happen. Here's another thing, and I don't know how well this idea will be taken, but oh well. We have an official 'Booker' of sorts. Someone who diligently keeps up with all feuds and storylines currently going on. This person would have to make sure that everyone is participating in a storyline and the Booker would tell them when the cut-off date for the feud is (because honestly, a feud will continue forever is someone doesn't tell them when to stop and move on, and one feud gets rather boring after half a year in my opinion. ). This booker would also act as an 'advisor' of sorts for the younger superstars who are new and looking for feuds and storylines. Honestly, I'm not even too sure about the second suggestion, but everything has been said already and I'm just trying to think of something new, so don't jump my ass. The booker idea needs to be better developed than what I explained, but the general focus point of that is obvious. But here's what it all boils down too... If someone wants to RP, they will and are responsible to tell management when they won't be able (which I believe I myself have been considering that I've never just disappeared. I hope I have at least). If they don't have the heart to, then they won't.

But I would also like to say that I really enjoyed Dreamer's idea and what Hyperion had to say, I agree with.

I'm just going to say, that I just don't see "Sponsorship" being any good. Like Vlad said, the basics are good.. But it's not something we need right now. I do like Brians Idea though with paying more attention to the guys who just join. I think giving them more attention, and helping them correct their mistakes with a positive attitude (It's ok with a cocky attitude, as long as they don't get too offensive by it. ). When I was GMing, for atleast a couple months, when I noticed people would sign new contracts to the rp side. I would greet them in the same thread of their contract, and then PM them. Telling them, "welcome to GHW. blah blah blah. Etc. Basically informing them what show they will be on, and if they needed any help. They are gladly to ask me any questions. And I actually think it worked, but I don't think just welcoming them into GHW is going to solve our entire problem. Because if it did, the roster would be twice as big. So, it's a good thing, but we do need to give them more attention. Of course you will always get a few of them who will sign a contract and then never show up no matter what you do. Some people figure they have time, or think it's a cool website, then forget to check it later on. It's human. Oh, and the magazine idea. Well, lets just say.. Whoever is up to a magazine idea. Good luck trying to maintain it. Not to be harsh, but you will need an ass load of time and patience. I guess depending on how good you would like the magazine to be. But yeah, that's all I got for you guys.

You'd be completely right, but this relates to my last post in this thread. Vlad, Matt, Dreamer, KB, Hayden, Diamond, Carter, and HWB are getting constant attention because they can always be counted on to do a good job in their matches. I always hate to rag on other members, but when illiterates are your new stars, you're better off sticking with what has been proven to work. Sure, it should be mixed up from time to time, but I'd personally rather watch all Matt, Vlad, and Wreckingball all the time than, for example, even five minutes of a guy who thinks this place is called the GAH. On a side note, a better comparison is WCW. WWE has no talent. All the talent in WWE either left for TNA, is suspended for steroids, or killed itself with a Bowflex.
