Friday Night Mayhem (1/16/09): Rising Fury
HARDCORE
1. Future Talent Match
The Angel of Darkness v. Raistlin Majere (Cage-docs)
Winner: The Angel of Darkness
Notes: I had a little talk with AOD and his mind is in the right place. He has offered to be my hitman in the Hardcore Division, and in turn, I am featuring him tonight on the main roster against Raistlin Majere. The two will be locked in a cage, and the fans will get a taste of the future talent that will be on the main roster soon.
LIEUTENANT
1. trickshot v. Martin Prince (Table-docs)
Winner: Martin Prince
Notes: trickshot and Martin Prince are two despicable Superstars, and I'm going to make them hurt each other tonight in a table match. Their efforts to build a faction against me will go down in flames once again when the X-Forces smother them out.
2. Debut Match
Allanon v. Rock II (LMS-docs)
Winner: Rock II
Notes: Newcomer Allanon will make his GHW debut tonight against veteran Rock II. It will be an explosive debut too, as only one man will be left standing after these Superstars throw their best attacks on each other.
3. Lieutenant Championship
The Master (c) v. Essa Rios (LMS-docs)
Winner and STILL Champion: The Master
Notes: The Master is hoping that he won't have to defend his Title at Winter Fury this month if he can get past two more Superstars in The Champions Tournament. I believe his hopes will be dashed when new X-Force member, Essa Rios, enters the ring tonight and teaches Billy some hard knocks.
CAPTAIN
1. Tito Ortiz v. The Ultimate Kid (Table-docs)
Winner: Tito Ortiz
Notes: UK got two chances in the Gauntlet, and he failed in both attempts. The fans gave him his second chance this past Monday, but ForSakeN was too much. Maybe UK would be better off if he crossed his name off Rhino's Petition and joined the real force in this business, the X-Force. But alas, maybe a couple hard shots by Tito and a trip through a table will knock some sense into him.
2. Non-Title Champ v. Champ Match
Samoa Machine v. Tommy Musashi (Cage-docs)
Winner: Samoa Machine
Notes: The X-Force Champion Samoa Machine will take on that other Champion, Tommy Musashi in a Non-Title Champ v. Champ match tonight. Oh, and the two will be stuck in a cage for good measure. Both Tommy and Samoa have for some reason signed Rhino's Petition, and that could bode badly for both in the future. There is time to get their names off the list though, and hopefully both of them do. Which Champ will have the bragging rights of the month after this match?
3. Escaping the Gauntlet
ForSakeN v. Torjio Kazukuni (Table-docs)
Winner: Torjio Kazukuni
Notes: FSN has looked sharp in the Gauntlet so far, but he has made one big mistake. He has signed Rhino's Petition, and that can only mean bad luck from here on out. He has time to erase his name before this match, but only time will tell. Meanwhile, GHW newcomer, Torjio Kazukuni, will debut in a huge way tonight when he enters the Gauntlet in his attempt to unseat and upset ForSakeN.
COLONEL
1. HawkEye v. Malcriado Beast (Single-docs)
Winner: Malcriado Beast by default
Notes: HawkEye and MB had decent efforts in the Gauntlet this month, but neither could hang on for the long run. Tonight, HawkEye will attempt to get some retribution on MB for eliminating him in said Tournament.
2. Sergei Kravinoff v. RJ Wild (Cage-docs)
Winner: Sergei Kravinoff
Notes: Sergei Kravinoff gets back into action after a brief respite, and he faces a new X-Force recruit, RJ Wild inside of a steel cage. There is nothing better than seeing two X-Force behemoths have a good ole fashioned cage match of respect.
3. Escaping the Gauntlet
Luther v. The Impacter (Single-docs)
Winner: The Impacter
Notes: Luther is the man right now in the Gauntlet, but his next opponent is an unfamiliar one. The Impacter gets to make his mark tonight when the recently returned Superstar enters the Gauntlet. With the Gauntlet nearing its end, one of these two could become the new Colonel Champion. Oh, and it would help The Impacter if he had a change of heart and removed himself from Rhino's Petition.
GENERAL
1. frog man v. I Always Lose (Table-docs)
No Contest
Notes: frog man has sided with RhinoMan and his possible reinstatement, and that means that I hope I Always Lose sends him through some furniture tonight. I would, however, change my opinion on this match if frog man were to go back and take his name off the Petition.
2. Big Closet v. Backyard Brawler 2 (Cage-docs)
Winner: Backyard Brawler 2
Notes: Big Closet has qualified for this month's MITB Rumble, but BB2 failed in his attempt. BB will now try to let off a little steam inside a steel cage. Big Closet will have other ideas in his head.
3. Revenge Remach
Angelus v. Pennylane (Single-docs)
Winner: Pennylane
Notes: Pennylane was upset that Angelus took him out of the Last Laugh Tournament last week and requested a rematch with him. I granted it because I know the level that these two X-Force Superstars are on, and it will make for a great bout. Seeing as I granted this match for Penny, the least he could do for me now is remove himself from Rhino's Petition. Angelus, however, has pledged his support for me, and look where that has taken him...the Last Laugh Tournament Finale.
4. Money in the Bank Qualifier
Falling Angel v. CHARISMATIC HARDY (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Falling Angel
Notes: Falling Angel will get her chance to make it to Winter Fury tonight when she attempts and is successful in qualifying for the Money in the Bank Rumble. Her opponent, CH, will try to stand in FA's way, but it will be quite difficult.
TAG TEAM
1. Lost Cause v. ReVamped (docs)
Winner: ReVamped
Notes: Lost Cause and ReVamped will lock once again in tag action tonight, as both teams have to wait another month to get a shot at the Gold Tag Team Titles. Can both teams wait that long though?
2. Dark Bulldogs v. Guerreros de la Calle (docs)
Winner: Dark Bulldogs
Notes: The Dark Bulldogs have never lost a match as a team besides two default losses. That being said, Guerreros de la Calle have their work cut out for them in this tag team match.
HARDCORE
