Friday Night Mayhem (2/27/09): And the Madness comes Next
HARDCORE
1. Future Talent Match
Bigguns88 v. Reckoning (Single-docs)
Winner: Reckoning by default
Notes: Bigguns has returned to GHW and he's looking for his first victim. Reckoning stands in the way, but he hasn't earned his first win yet after 3 matches. Which of these future talents are going to score their first victory?
LIEUTENANT
1. Mystery Madness
Destroyer v. [Mystery-Prince Martini] (Cage-docs)
Winner: Prince Martini
Notes: Destroyer has been colder than dry ice the past month or so, and tonight he looks to start getting the job done when he has his first Mystery Madness match. With DMD on his mind and on top of his priority list, are we going to see more of the same?
2. Mystery Madness
Martin Prince v. [Mystery-Level One] (Table-docs)
Winner: Martin Prince
Notes: Martin Prince has been a lot of talk and not really any strong action last month. Tonight he faces a mystery opponent in this month's Tournament and someone is going through a table.
3. Non-Title Match
YOUNG GANGSTA v. Luke Kinkade (Table-docs)
Winner: Luke Kinkade
Notes: YOUNG GANGSTA may have won the Lieutenant X-Force Title at Dawn of Destruction against Destroyer, but his reign as Champ is going to be a short one. I'm going to find an opponent who will tear him limb for limb and bring home the vandalized title. That Superstar just might be Luke Kinkade and this match may be a preview.
CAPTAIN
1. Captain X-Force Championship
Marcus Airbourne (c) v. ForSakeN (Single-docs)
Winner and NEW Captain X-Force Champion: ForSakeN
Notes: Marcus lost the Captain X-Force Title at DoD against ForSakeN but won it back the next night on Combat. Now that it's 1-1, tonight's match will silence all the critics that Marcus is the true champion. There will be no rematch after this one is over, unless we see it at Total Carnage.
2. Mystery Madness
Marcus Airbourne v. [Mystery-RhinoMan] (Table-docs)
Winner: Marcus Airbourne
Notes: After a Captain X-Force Champion is determined in the previous match, the loser will take on a mystery opponent in this month's Tournament.
3. Mystery Madness
Tommy Musashi v. [Mystery-Torjio Kazukuni] (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Tommy Musashi
Notes: Tommy Musashi was a runner-up last month in Pick Your Poison, and now that Unknown Soldier in the Champion, maybe he'll go all the way in March. I have my doubts, and so does his mystery opponent.
4. Non-Title Match
Unknown Soldier v. The Heartbreak Kid (LMS-docs)
Winner: Unknown Soldier
Notes: Unknown Soldier broke out as a legitimate threat in GHW last month when he won the Pick Your Poison Tournament and then unseeded Samoa Machine as the Captain Champion. Nevertheless, this anti-X Superstar is not going to be so lucky this month, and his first obstacle will be HBK...if he shows up.
COLONEL
1. Mystery Madness
Matthew Oliveira v. [Mystery-Euroman] (LMS-docs)
Winner: Euroman
Notes: Matt O. is a huge fan of mysteries, and tonight he'll have his own mystery to solve as he faces an unknown opponent in a LMS match.
2. Non-Title Match
Sergei Kravinoff v. Lunchtime Legend (Single-docs)
Winner: Sergei Kravinoff
Notes: Sergei Kravinoff is the rightful Colonel X-Force Champion after a successful PPV, and to keep himself busy this week, will face Lunchtime Legend in a regular singles match.
GENERAL
1. Mystery Madness
Psycho Savage v. [Mystery-The Impacter] (Table-docs)
Winner: The Impacter
Notes: Mr. Money in the Bank is back, and he's ready to tear up Mystery Madness so he doesn't have to cash in his briefcase this month. With PS's injuries fully healed, it's no telling what the madman will do in this table match.
2. Mystery Madness
Pennylane v. [Mystery-CH] (LMS-docs)
Winner: Pennylane
Notes: Speaking of returns, Pennylane is also back! Dealing with some nagging injuries and a small pain killer addiction, Pennylane gets back into the ring tonight in Mystery Madness. An LMS match is what he has drawn, so hopefully he can get it over with quickly and painlessly.
3. Mystery Madness
Muhammad Hassan v. [Mystery-Slim Shady] (Single-docs)
Winner: Slim Shady
Notes: The loser between Big Daddy and Jake Steele from the PPV will take on a mystery opponent in a singles match tonight.
TAG TEAM
1. Mystery Madness (Regular Tag)
Brutal Thugs v. United Gangstas (docs)
Winner: Brutal Thugs
Notes: Brutal Thugs are hungry for Bronze Gold, and this may be their last month to get it. Tonight they face the United Gangstas in a tornado tag match. With everyone in the ring at the same time, it's gonna get ugly.
2. Mystery Madness (Tornado Tag)
The Battalion v. Lunchtime Legend/Torjio Kazukuni (Single IDs -docs)
Winner: Lunchtime Legend/Torjio Kazukuni
Notes: The Battalion came up short at Dawn of Destruction in their attempt to get Silver Tag Team gold. Tonight, both of them will get in the ring with the new team of Double L and Torjio in tornado action.
3. Mystery Madness (Hardcore Tag)
The Flying Airmen v. Hawter Than Pornstars (1-1-1)
Winner: The Flying Airmen
Notes: Two new Silver Tag Teams clash in the Mystery Madness tournament and it's going to be hardcore. The Flying Airmen and Hawter Than Pornstars fight in a double debut match with high stakes.
4. Mystery Madness (Regular Tag)
ReVamped v. Catastrophic Duo (docs)
Winner: ReVamped
Notes: To cap off the evening, ReVamped face off against Catastrophic Duo in a regular tag match in Gold Division Mystery Madness action. CD was extremely dominant in their first 6 or 7 matches, but lately, they've shown that they have some weaknesses. Can they recover to get back atop the Division?
