Participants: Chris Skull Psycho Savage Dominik Santiago "The Pureblood" Skull Desperado Matthew Oliveira Metal Dragon Winthorp Darkrites
Phase 2 takes place on a concrete pad the size of four rings put together, with a caged ring in the middle. There are four ladders stacked on top of each other next to the center ring, and weapons strewn around the area. A large cage surrounds the whole structure, with patches of barbed wire intertwined in some places. The first four people to climb into the center cage will advance to Phase 3.
As before, during the first three days of the match, each person may post only once. After Tuesday (or with the 2% chance that everyone posts by then), everyone may post as long as a spot isn't reserved at the time.
The eight men who managed to escape the first tribulations of tonight's main event stand on the concrete, ready to continue fighting.

Oliveira sat with his legs dangling on either side of the third cage in this set-up looks upon the rest of his fellow competitors. Reckoning and Ashton are knocked out with gushes across both their heads. Tai O’Neill is immobile in the far left turnbuckle. His former partner is struggling with his strength as he looks to carry himself onto the next round. The former Nexus winner extends his arm out to the Brooklyn born Fighty fighty person and pulls him to the top of the cage. Desperado lets a smile of gratitude escape his lips as the two former team-mates escape into Phase two.
The Fuzz: “Its good to see the former Heaven and Hell Tag-team champions of GHW working together to pull themselves through into the second round of this competition.”
Big Al: “I don’t really think this partnership will last very long. It looks like Metal Dragon has also passed on from his cage which means Matt and Metal Dragon will combine forces. Desperado I am sure will not want any part of Metal Dragon’s help after what he believed was a betrayal in last years Nexus finals.”
The Fuzz: “Only time will tell what this match brings next for us.”
Metal Dragon bounces into the second phase platform with Winthorp Darkrites hot behind his trail. Cage one provide major surprises with both veterans Dave Carter and Lil’ Rey behind eliminated with the progression of the phenomenal Psycho Savage and Chris Skull. The concluding additions to the final eight are the ‘Pureblood’ Skull and a highly favourite of this competition, Dominik Santiago.
The eight men size up their opponents, considering the best tactics employable to progress through to the final four. Matthew looks to his right where he receives a nod from Metal Dragon. He then turns towards Desperado on his left. Taking into account the increased possibilities of making it to the final four, Desperado agrees to form the Stone Orchard alliance.
Desperado hands twitch as he begins to move himself towards a nearby trash-can. The others seem to like the idea of mass weapon brawl and follow Desperado’s lead. Scavenging through, Desperado picks out a couple of kendo sticks and throws one each to his former team-mates whilst he picks out a sturdy metal pole for himself.
Dominik is the first to begin the attacks in the second phase of the Nexus Deathmatch striking Chris Skull with his knee, knocking him to mat as he beats him to the nearest trashcan.

Santiago steps back, then charges at Chris while kicking a leg out, booting the young but surprising Fighty fighty person in the ribs. Dom turns around only to see three Orchard members, all with kendo sticks raised, and only has time to cover himself as the barrage begins. Just like old times, Stone Orchard lays into the Hardcore Assassin with the wooden weapons until he lies cowering on his face. MD smirks and shrugs his shoulders, then the three men part ways. Winthorp eyes Metal Dragon while clutching a mandolin covered with thumbtacks, a strange but surely effective item. The Italian Goth closes in on his nemesis from Cage 4, readying the small instrument to strike as Dragon sees him in the corner of his eye and swings the kendo stick. The shinai strikes Darkrites in the ribs and bends him over, but Winthrop swings his free hand up instinctively to strike Dragon in the groin. MD bends over in pain as the Goth shakes off the attack, standing up straight and raising the "tackolin" overhead. The instrument is swung down, rattling the general manager's cranium and sending him dropping to the concrete on his hands and knees. The tack-covered mandolin is then placed on the middle of MD's back before Darkrites steps back, then the Goth runs forward and jumps. Winthrop leans back mid-jump to slam his back onto the mandolin and the back of Metal Dragon, pushing him down with a senton. Darkrites feels the tacks sink into his flesh as he drops and the middleweight under him faceplants on the concrete, taking a little pain to dish out much more to his target.
Al: "Winthrop just took out his boss with a... mandolin covered in thumbtacks!"
Fuzz: "That's another one of those weapons where Dragon was just bored, saw something, and decided to throw barbed wire or tacks onto it for kicks."
Chris Skull has gotten up and pulled Dominik Santiago up with him, and wraps his arms around Dom's waist from behind. The energetic newcomer leans back and pulls Santiago back with him for a German Suplex, and Dominik allows himself to be propelled just so he can backflip and land on his feet. The surprised Chris stands up and turns toward Dom only for the Hollywood native to charge forward with an outstretched arm, clotheslining the peculiar superstar down to the concrete pad. Chris gets up, slightly groggy, as Dom prepares to charge again, but CS kicks the advancing Santiago in the stomach before reaching into the nearby trashcan and pulling out an arrow. CS holds the arrow near the tip, then pulls Dom's head up by the hair and jabs the arrowhead into the cocky Hardcore Assassin's forehead. Dom screams in pain as his flesh is torn into by the authentic Native American ammunition, a few agonizing seconds before the point is removed from his forehead. Chris then kicks Santiago in the stomach again and grabs his hair, then jumps and falls to one knee, forcing Dom's face to collide with the hard kneecap. Santiago falls to the concrete and CS puts the arrow back where he got it, now looking at the ladders near the center of the battleground.
"Dominik Santiago is being destroyed in phase 2, just like old times."
"I'd take it as a compliment if I were him, as hard as it is. They know he's better than them and a legitimate threat."
Matthew Oliveira has been grating Psycho Savage's face against the cage after winning a long battle of punches, meanwhile. The current Stone Orchard member turns the former S.O. member around and wraps an arm around PS's head, then runs forward and jumps before landing on his rear end. Savage's face slams into the concrete before bouncing off, the Bulldog living up to its namesake by crushing the facial features of its victim. Oliveira gets up and sees Chris Skull pulling a ladder off of the stack, then approaches him with a raised fist. CS sees Matt in the corner of his eye and turns only for his brow to receive a hammering blow that sends him stumbling backward. Ollie grabs Chris's hair and turns around, seeing Psycho Savage beginning to get up before swinging his scalp into the face of Chris, weakening him with a headbutt. PS gets to his feet and Matt knees CS in the gut, then grabs his waist while still holding his hair and feeds him over to the other heavyweight. Chris Skull's head ends up between Psycho's legs, and he feels arms wrap around him before he is lifted upside down. Oliveira then puts his hands on the soles of CS's feet as Savage sits down, a double-team piledriver decimating the young Chris.
"Chris Skull's head was just crushed into the concrete! He won't be getting up for a while."
"They don't call those two guys The Hardcore Genius and Psycho Savage for nothing. They know how to hurt someone, and that's why they're in phase 2."
Desperado has The Pureblood in a headlock on the other side of the chaos, one high-flyer twisting the other's neck before they both see Winthorp getting to his feet after a short rest. Darkrites sees the two battling as Despy releases the headlock and runs forward, then falls to his hands and knees as Skull shakes off the pain. The Pureblood then runs behind his fellow aerialist and jumps onto his back before springing off and flying toward the Italian Goth. The distance between the two macabre beings shortens as The Pureblood leans back and kicks both feet out, connecting a Missile Dropkick to the chest of Winthorp and knocking him to the concrete with a thud. Skull gets up next to Darkrites, and for good measure turns his back to him, then backflips before landing belly-to-belly with a standing Moonsault. Metal Dragon gets up behind the two oddballs, right as The Pureblood gets to his feet and backs up. Dragon opens his arms and catches the lighter Skull, left arm weaving through the armpit and up to the head, while the right arm goes across the aerialist's throat and grabs the left forearm. The TNT GM explodes back, releasing Skull at the apex of the launch and forcing the diabolical Fighty fighty person to flip over in flight before landing on his face and skidding on the concrete. The crowd cheers the signature move of the crazy but lovable MD as he gets up with a smirk on his face.
"Tiger Suplex '85! It's great to see that move again, and holy crap, did it hurt or what?"
"That is seizing an opportunity. Skull backed right into it and was helpless."
Matthew Oliveira picks up a ladder and thrusts its end into the gut of Psycho Savage, then drops it and grabs PS by the mask and waist. The Genius begins dragging his victim toward Desperado, continuing to play field general of phase 2 for now. After a few steps, Savage delivers an elbow into Matt's abdomen to stop Stone Orchard's intentions, then stands up straight. With malice in his eyes, PS throws his head forward, headbutting his fellow heavyweight and making Matt O stumble back slightly. Psycho Savage then reaches down between the Canadian's legs and scoops him up, then walks toward the stack of ladders and jumps before falling forward. Matthew is driven into the steel hardware with a Powerslam as the Genius's whole body cringes in pain. Psycho gets up and turns toward Despy only to see two feet of a jumping S.O. member coming at him, the dropkick striking him square in the sternum and knocking him to the unforgiving concrete pad.
In the middle of the action, yet able to avoid the torrent of violence that just occurred, Dominik Santiago tips over the weapon-filled trash can that he stands near as it lands with a crashing sound. The cocky Hollywood native looks through his veil of flowing blood to see Desperado rolling toward him and getting up. Dom rolls the can toward his prey, then hops over the steel cylinder and waits for Despy to get up. The New Yorker pushes himself to his feet and Santiago immediately turns around, then gracefully wraps his arms around Desperado's head. Dom jumps forward quickly, Despy being drug along with him before coming down face-first onto the trash can and bouncing off with another metallic crashing sound.
"SKO! SKO! SKO!"
"You knew they'd be after each other in this match! They have the same finishing move, and it looks like SKO one, DKO zero so far in phase 2!"
"Desperado could care less about the score right now; I think he mostly wants to know where he is after that!"

With nearly every competitor in the match grounded, it's only left with the two most dominating superstars in the match, Metal Dragon and Santiago. However, out of view and unknown to the both of them, Winthorp Darkrites has opened his eyes and pulls himself up slowly, the several open wounds on his head flowing free with fresh blood and his face looking nothing short of a complete bloody mess, The Italian Goth is now up on a knee and looking up at the carnage surrounding him, the bodies of all the competitors lying on the cold concrete as the atrocity known as The NeXuS Deathmatch still continues.
Colin Jennings "If there is a god, then his power has no hold over this Deathmatch, bodies littered all around the ring as if they were mere play toys, and all the blood wasting away like it's just water."
Big Al "Grow some balls Colin, seriously. This is the toughest match of the year, and it's surprising that no one has ever died in one of these matches. But on with the match, nearly everyone has been laid out so far and we're treated to an old rivalry between Metal Dragon and Dom Santiago, both expressing the utmost amount of hate for one another and I wouldn't be surprised if they just want to get right to the point and want to beat the shit out of each other."
Metal Dragon takes the initiative with a hard right fist to Dom's temple, knocking him back a few inches and moving in for a barrage of heavy left's and right's, Dom continues to move back with no reply as The GM of TNT continues to dish out the blows with Winthorp Darkrites watching the battle from afar, not wishing to get involved to spare himself more pain. With Santiago now backed up against the steel linkings of the surrounding NeXuS cage, MD throws out the last fist, knocking the senses out of Dom and leaving him open for a big-hitter, instead Dragon spins the groggy Santiago and places a hand on the back of his head, securing a grip on the sweat and blood soaked hair of Dom and begins grinding his face against the cage, Santiago screaming in pain as his skin is being shredded by the steel.
By now, Winthorp has recuperated a somewhat large portion of his stamina, he makes an attempt of wiping away some of the blood from his face, but the severity of his wounds just brings in a new mask of blood, dropping his attempt, Winthorp begins his walk over to the unsuspecting Metal Dragon who is still busy ripping up Santiago on the side of the cage. Winthorp stopped abruptly, he appears immobile and surprised as The Hardcore Genius himself has a grip around his ankle, an act to keep Winthorp from striking MD unexpectantly.
Colin Jennings "Matt has Darkrites at his ankle, I think he's saving Metal Dragon from Winthorp Darkrites."
Big Al "Because it's Stone Orchard for life, Colin."
Winthorp looks down at Matt, who looks back up with determination, Darkrites lifts a foot up to stomp Oliveira's head, but Matt O's other arm appears suddenly, grasping the same ankle with both hands and pulls the foot towards him, tripping Darkrites who lands on the concrete floor with a thud, Metal Dragon turns around to witness The Goth landing on his back, he releases his hold on Santiago's head and Dom drops to the concrete floor, holding his own head and nursing the pain away. Meanwhile, MD marches over to the fallen Darkrites and grabs him by the hair, pulling him up and positioning him right in front of him in a standing position. Dragon scoops Darkrites up and places him on his feet in a reverse DDT position, MD then puts a hold around Darkrites' neck and drops himself down onto the concrete flooring.
Big Al "DEATH METAL BY METAL DRAGON! Winthorp Darkrites has no chance against a veteran like MD."
Colin Jennings "With all the force and pressure from that move being put on Winthorp's neck, he might've disabled the guy, I mean right now Winthorp doesn't look like he's moving at all."
With Winthorp down and possibly out, MD walks over to Matt O. and takes his hand, pulling him up to his feet and dusting his back off, the two members of Stone Orchard stand triumphantly in the ring, standing over the decimated Italian Goth, Matt turns around and faces MD briefly with a comical expression on his face.
Matt O. "Hey, this is still the NeXuS Deathmatch right?"
MD looks back in confusion, unsure if Matt could be suffering a concussion of some sort.
MD "Yeah, It doesn't matter what you had for dinner!"
Matt says nothing, his face blank and emotionless as he wraps both arms around the waist of his own partner and lifts him up, MD's legs kicking around in mid-air to escape the move with no avail, Matt moves one arm and wraps it around MD's neck, looking up briefly into the crowd with a look of little or no regret and drops himself backwards, MD's head hitting the concrete floor with an incredible thud and The GM of TNT lays on the back, spread eagle and no movement whatsoever.
Big Al "Now it's a Magnum DDT from Oliveira that floors his own tag partner. Can you believe all the deceptions Colin?"
Colin Jennings "I'm lost for words, but then again, this is NeXuS I guess, everyone wants to win so badly that they'll go through many lengths to be crowned this year's champion."
Within steps of Oliveira, the previously fallen Psycho Savage has now risen to his feet and like Darkrites, is looking up at all the carnage and bloodshed surrounding him in the NeXuS cage, although his size and power outdoes Oliveira, he hesitates in taking a step towards The Hardcore Genius in fear of his experience over him. Nonetheless, Savage rushes towards Oliveira and raises his arms, Matt O. turns around and is lifted into the air, as Psycho Savage wraps both of his arms around the Genius' waist and squeezes him hard, forcing out the oxygen in him and applying pressure to the abdomen and spine of the Canadian born superstar.
With Oliveira and Savage engaged in their own submissive struggles, Desperado begins pulling himself up and away from the trash can, his face and upper chest dented into the can leaving a perfect after-image of the Brooklyn-born technical Fighty fighty person, now looking up and watching calmly as Oliveira is being squashed by Savage, Desperado turns his head and his attention now on the fallen trash can, weapons littered on the floor and in his field of interaction, closing his eyes and picking up any weapon he can find, he opens his eyes and looks at the can of Pepper Spray in his hands, a smirk now seen on his face as he stands up, holding the spray in his hand, but from behind comes the hand of Chris Skull, who spins Desperado around. Desperado uses his wits and New York charm and tosses the spray over to CS who grins maliciously and holds it in Desperado's face, pressing down the nozzle but instead receiving a face-full of pepper spray himself, Chris drops the spray and Desperado catches the falling can in his hand, laughing at CS' misfortune and turns back to Savage and Oliveira.
Big Al "Smart tactics from Desperado, Chris Skull didn't even notice that he was holding the can backwards, and now he's screaming his lungs out because he just got a face full of an artificial pepper substance. Sorry about your damn luck kid."
Colin Jennings "That's a bit harsh Al."
Desperado moves in towards PS, the can of pepper spray gripped tightly in his hands as he goes over his own plan once more in his head and is standing in front of Savage, who releases Oliveira and eyes the pepper spray in his hand.
Colin Jennings "Here's the staredown.."
Despy holds the can up and pushes down on the nozzle, spraying Psycho Savage full on in the face with the peppery substance, Savage however appears to be unfazed by the spray and moves towards him threateningly, with a hand raises just below his shoulder.
Desperado is shocked at this no-sell and moves back, unsure of his own decisions and without thinking, trips over the body of Winthorp Darkrites, with Desperado now crawling on his back, Savage now has a brief advantage over him, stepping on Winthorp's spine and moving closer towards Desperado, PS lunges towards him, with a grip on both of his arms, pulling him up to his feet and keeping Despy's left wrist in his grip, Savage pushes Desperado forward, unable to stop himself Desperado hits the cage side and falls to the concrete, his skin left with a red-impression of the cage.
Colin Jennings "Is Savage somehow unstoppable now? About 10 minutes ago, he was lying face on on the concrete floor with no clue as to what was going on, now he's the dominating superstar in this match."
Big Al "That's life Colin, first you're the biggest hit in the ring, next thing you know you're lying on the concrete surrounded by a pool of your own blood."
Savage stands tall in the ring, there is no one left in the area to oppose him, Chris Skull however is still rolling on the floor with his hands covering his eyes and Winthorp Darkrites still lays motionless, despite being tripped on and stepped on by two different individuals.
"The Pureblood" however, begins to pull himself up to his feet as well as Dominik Santiago, now sporting his own crimson mask.
Matthew Oliveira and Metal Dragon both within an inch of each other suffering the pain of the NeXuS Deathmatch, Oliveira writhin in pain as he tries to bring oxygen back into his lungs, and Metal Dragon himself begin to stir. Psycho Savage is still none the wiser to any of his opponents, the Deathmatch still goes on.

Post by Dominik Santiago on Jun 4, 2009 8:27:40 GMT -5
The towering titan, Psycho Savage who once stood lonesome in the middle of the ring is greeted by a quick, bloody, battered force who has recuperating from a previous offensive onslaught. The force is Dominik Santiago who skulks behind the behemoth and dashes toward before leap sliding to the floor and driving his feet into the back of the monster's leg. Savage cringes through his mask and limps before he is met by the former King of Deathmatch Champion, Metal Dragon who sprints toward Savage who is still tending to his leg. Dragon leaps into air and raises his leg head level before maliciously driving his foot into Psycho's head, leveling him with an enziguiri that causes the once dominating monstrosity to kneel before his adversary, stopping down to their level. With his opponent in a precarious position, Mathew Oliviera advances to his foe before wrapping his head in between his legs. Ollie encloses Savage's waist with his arms, and clenches his wrists before gritting his teeth and hoisting the titan on his shoulders. With Psycho Savage elevated, Skull suddenly bursts to the scene, running with purpose. The "Pureblood" leaps onto the back of a nearby slithering Desperado, and uses him as a spring to go airborne. Skull flips forward, and wraps his arm around the skull of Psycho Savage why the Hardcore Genius" suddenly falls forward, thrusting his foe back first into the concrete.
Fuzz: "A Powerbomb and Flying Neckbreaker combination finally ends Savage's reign of terror!"
Big Al: "And he'll be down for a long while. "
As Winthorp Darkrites staggers to his feet, Metal Dragon slides a nearby chair toward himself. The Nashville native rises to his feet brandishing the chair before stepping forward and swinging the chair forward from it's cocked back position with all his might. The rookie, Darkrites, somehow manages to dodge the move, as he lowers his head causing Metal Dragon to get inadvertent payback on his partner, Matt O, who raises his head into the way of the chair and...
*CRACK*
The head of the "Hardcore Genius" jerks back awkwardly before he tips over like a severed tree thanks to the wicked chair shot that has missed it's target. Now livid, Metal Dragon cocks the chair back once more, but before he can deliver the withering blow, Winthorp beats him to the punch, as he viciously drives his fingers into the KOTDM alumni's throat, causing Dragon to drop the chair to the concrete and double over.
The novice, Darkrites, locks Dragon's head in his armpits before reclining backward, planting the Tennessean head first into the steel chair, delivering a spike, the DDT that has tentatively removed MD from the NeXus equation. Victorious from that exchange, Winthorp throws his arms up in triumph, but the showboating is quickly the death of the Italian as one of his many antagonists makes him pay for his taunting. "The High Flying Hunk" Desperado suddenly explodes on Winthorp who is not quick enough to get his guard down. Desperado extends his arm out before forcefully slamming it into Darkrites chest, dropping him emphatically with a clothesline. With Darkrites writhing in pain, Santiago and Desperado get on the same page for once in their careers, as the "Hardcore Assassin" and Desperado stare at one another in nod in agreement. Desperado suddenly drags the wounded, lethargic rookie Winthorp to his feet, before Santiago saunters over. They stand side to side and wrap their arms around Darkrites head before turning and placing their backs to him, putting his jaw on their shoulder. The two veterans suddenly leap forward, causing Darkrites jaw to slide of their shoulders and allowing himself to get his face driven into the steel chair below with a *THUD*.
"DSO or SDO or DKSO? f*ck it!"
"A DKO and SKO unified attack by Desperado and Dominik Santiago. Winthorp may have severe brain contusions following that one!"
Desperado is slow to get to his feet, while a bloody Santiago rises to his knee. His helpful spirit snaps and Dominik returns to his viper like instinct, as he puts the teamwork in the past and focuses on exterminating the Brooklyn brawler. As Despy gradually regains a vertical base, the cunning Santiago rises to his feet and takes step back, his eyes locked tight on his target and ready and waiting to strike like a missile. When his prey turns, Santiago turns his back away from him and attempt to seize Desperado's head but the crafty, former Tag Team Champion has it scouted perfectly, particular because the move is also in his arsenal. Desperado places his palms across the back of Santiago before pressing him forward, giving him a powerful shove that coerces the "Hardcore Assassin" to stumble forward, into a quick and sudden demise. "The Pureblood" Skull just happens to be waiting for him, as he lifts his leg up and turns his body to the side, planting is foot like a flower into Santiago's garden, his face, causing the glaring eyes of the sadistic Hollywood resident to roll in the back of his head.
The former New Age Champion careens and spins around uncontrollably, back to Desperado who is locked and loaded, wielding the steel chair with the blood of many superstars plastered on it. Giving the weapon of mass destruction a new pain job, Desperado swings the chair, causing it to clank up against the forehead of an already bloody Santiago, causing the longest reigning EVPW T.V. champ to fall backward, into the arms of Skull. With "The Pureblood", carrying dead weight, he cannot capitalize after the Superkick, chair combo and is both left in a precarious, susceptible position with Desperado happily exploits, as he throws the chair with all his might causing the destructive object to crash into the skull of Skull, seemingly knocking his adversary unconscious as the "Pureblood" falls to the concrete.
Desperado, a 2 time NeXus final four finalist, marches through the pool of scattered bodies toward the nearby ladder. He lifts the 17 foot long stepping stone into the air before carrying toward the position of the elevated cage. With advancement within his reach or climb, Desperado sets up the ladder before placing his first foot on the very firs rung. He inhales deeply and soaks in the moment before steadily but slowly beginning his ascent. As Desperado continues his climb to reach the peak of the mountain and near that much closer to history, Chris Skull proves himself to be a legitimate threat. He thwarts the efforts of Desperado who almost reaches top, as he rushes toward the ladder before flying into it with his shoulder, shifting the ladder away from the cage and causing it to become unsteady. Desperado desperately clutches the sides, and prays to God he doesn't slip.
The Lord doesn't answer Despy's prayer, as a relentless Chris Skull grabs onto the ladder and tilts it over, causing Desperado to plummet from the top. In mid air though, the High Flying Hunk turns his body sideways and stretches out as far as possible, landing across the chests of Matthew Oliveria and Psycho Savage who have just risen to their feet, with all his body weight. Following Desperado's unintentional leap of faith, Chris Skull remains the only man on his feet in Phase 2.
"Desperado cushions his fall with a Flying Cross Body off the ladder. And he takes out two birds with one stone!"
"But that leaves Chris Skull standing tall with a grand opportunity at hand. The rookie's competition is well beaten, and if he could just zoom up that ladder, he will advance to the Elevated Cage."
"That's a big IF, Al."
"Oh, I'm not saying it's possible for Skull, because it's down right inevitable for him not to advance in the NeXus. I just thought I'd be polite and exaggerate."
"Your one of a kind Al, one of a kind. "

Eh, I guess I'll pull a Tony and judge this phase since... Four people posted anyway. Dominik Santiago advances first. Heck, Winthorp and MD advance at the same time. Desperado advances last, still trying to remember what moves he does.
