The following participants have made it to the final phase of NeXuS. Congratulations to the following people for actually posting:
Desperado Metal Dragon Winthorp Darkrites Dominik Santiago
Phase 3 is basically the same as phase 1, except that now each person must eliminate the others via submission. We have a week, so let's make this phase... I dunno... not suck as much as the last two have. I'll even throw out the rule about one post per person for the first three days, since you obviously misheard it to be "one person can post for the first three days" or something. <_<
Someone start the action.

Four men have made it into the centre cage within the centre of the titanic platform in the NeXuS Deathmatch, as the competitors who failed to make it into the final phase, begin scattering and exiting the cage slowly, one by one. Dominik Santiago, with his face smothered with his own blood, looks up and around his own surroundings, the final phase and the ultimate challenge as he faces Desperado, who has bared through 2 previous NeXuS Deathmatches to make it to the same final phase for the third time, Metal Dragon, who is a veteran in the wrestling ring and no stranger to the malevolant atmosphere of hardcore wrestling and Winthorp Darkrites, the Gothic rookie who has somehow made it into the final stage despite being practically drenched all over in his own blood. The lights go out and the arena is engulfed in darkness, as a single bright spotlight hangs over the encaged ring, the bloodstained territory surrounding it left in darkness as Charlie Coor stands at the bottom of the structure with a microphone in his hands.
Charlie Coors "Ladies and Gentlemen, this has been a hellacious match and one that has provided us with a shitload of entertainment, the four men standing in the ring - Dominik Santiago, Desperado, Metal Dragon and Winthorp Darkrites have proved to us that they have what it takes to withstand the most extreme of tortures and brutality, if you may, give these men and the men leaving the ring right now a round of applause..Now let the final phase of the NeXuS Deathmatch begin!"
The spotlight dims out as the arena lighting returns to normal, the bell rings once more to signify that the match has resumed.
Colin Jennings "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the final phase of the NeXuS Deathmatch, where nothing is held back in tonight's Main Event. These four men have proved to us that they have the balls to take this match and when it's all over..they'll be needing a lot of stitches to seal up their wounds."
Big Al "They'll need a lot more than stitches. They'll need some psychiatric help, a good woman AND a nice case of Guinness to ease this pain."
Winthorp stumbles slightly on his feet, apparently the action from the past two phases is finally taking it's toll on him, had it not begun earlier within phase 2. After several moments to regain concentration and balance, he turns to Metal Dragon and moves in for an grapple hold, Metal Dragon oversees this however and sidesteps to the right, mocking Darkrites with a grin as he delivers a swift kick to The Goth's knee, dropping him to one knee, Dragon capitalizes with a running knee which collides with the side of Darkrites' head, The Italian Goth drops to the mat and appears to be out of the equation now having lost a lot of blood.
Desperado and Santiago are engaged in a lockup, having ignored the action between Dragon and Darkrites. Desperado pushes Santiago back with some force, but the Hardcore Assassin begins applying his own force and adrenaline, pushing the Brooklyn-born superstar back into the ropes of the ring, stretching them back slowly as he pushes him further and further into them, both superstars release their hold on each other with Santiago reacting first, delivering a quick chop to Desperado's chest, leaving a nice red impression on Despy's chest as he throws out another quick chop. Desperado grinds his teeth to try and withstand the pain, to no avail, as the Santiago takes a hold of Desperado's arm, pushing him against the ropes once more and then whipping him into the opposite side, Desperado runs across, bouncing off the opposing ropes and returns to Santiago, who was readying an arm for Desperado's return, within a split second Desperado's back meets the mat of the ring as the Hardcore Assassin floors the Brooklyn-born with a stiff clothesline.
Big Al "Stiff clothesline from Santiago lays Desperado out with a clothesline, both him and Darkrites seem to be downed with Darkrites looking to be worse off in this battle as the veterans of this match seem to be the favoured ones to take victory tonight."
Colin Jennings "After the brutality from the first two phases, i'm surprised any of these guys are still standing in the ring, Darkrites is damn lucky if you ask me, what, with losing all the blood and whatnot."
As the night goes on, the battle seems to have reached yet another returning battle between two epic veterans, Metal Dragon and Dominik Santiago. The whole atmosphere returns to that of Phase 2, with the staredown between Santiago and MD returning at it's peak as both superstars return each others glare, the blood streaming down their faces as a result of the beatdowns and weaponry, Dragon smirks at Santiago as the crowd's cheers can be heard by the two.
Metal Dragon "It's the final phase..Let's make this crowd proud you son of a bitch."
Dominik Santiago "Likewise, we have the will..and the balls to make it through to this."
Both titans move in for the major lock-up, the atmosphere reflecting that of a battle between God and the Devil himself, both men showing no advantage over each other, both digging their boots into the mat and pushing against each other with equal force, after an unsuccessful power struggle, the lockup is released. Turning to another strategy to gain the upper hand, Santiago throws out a hard right fist, MD doing the same, both fists collide with both opponent's faces which sends both veterans backwards, shaking off the blows, both Santiago and Metal Dragon move back against the ropes and push themselves off of them, launching themselves at each other and throwing out their respective arms in a clothesline, both clotheslines hit and send both superstars to the mat. The crowd erupting in cheers.
With every single superstar in the match down, the crowd begin their clapping and chanting, all chanting for their favourite superstars, with the three veterans getting most of the crowd chants.
After the chanting and clapping calms down, the entire arena is left in silence, no movement made from either superstar in the ring still, with the moment re-igniting as both MD and Santiago kick themselves up, Desperado pushing himself back up to his feet and Winthorp Darkrites forcing himself back up to a knee. Using the adrenaline of their own comebacks, each superstar ignores the use of tactics and move into the centre of the ring, throwing out lefts and rights against each other in random fashion, all four NeXuS finalists making an impact in the final phase as no one appears to be gaining the upperhand.
Colin Jennings "What a match! Everyone is just kicking each others asses."
Big Al "No doubt Colin, NeXuS is what it's all about and these guys are pretty much showing us why."
Winthorp grows weary of this pointless fist fight, turning to the right to face Desperado and knees him in the abdominal region, winding the Brooklyn born slightly, Santiago turns to Darkrites and grabs The Goth by the hair, and throwing out a hard right, sending The Italian Goth back and splattering the mat with several drops of Darkrites' blood. Without thinking, Metal Dragon drops to the mat, turning around swiftly and making contact with the ankle of Santiago, dropping him to the mat with a sweep. Dragon moves in towards Winthorp who is subtly resting upon the ropes, MD throws out another punch which sends Winthorp pushed up against the ropes and momentarily stuns The Goth, MD wraps an arm around Darkrites' head and moves him forward into the centre, Dragon drops back, taking Darkrites with him and The Goth's bloodied head meets the mat after a tenacious DDT.
Desperado takes in a deep breath and gets himself out of his kneeling position, MD only stands back and watches as Desperado is unaware of the stalking Dragon, who moves up from behind and wraps both arms around his waist, Desperado reacts quickly, hitting MD on the side of the face with a hard elbow who releases the hold and stumbles backwards, Desperado moves in without hesitation, jumping up with a ''step up'' kicking MD in the back of the head, dropping the GM of TNT to the mat, Desperado looks around at the crowd in glee as he appears to be standing as the biggest man in the Deathmatch, and on par with the stipulations of the final phase drops to the mat and puts a hold on Metal Dragon's head, initiating the first actual submission hold in the entire match.
Big Al "Finally, we actually get to see an actual damn submission hold in this match. THANK YOU GOD."
Colin Jennings "Well, it IS hard to knock one of these guys down to the mat to try and lock a hold on them in the first place."
Desperado applies some pressure into the hold, leaving the GM in a bad position as he tries to wriggle his way out of the tightened hold, and to make the matters worse in the matter of the unknown, Dominik Santiago has risen to his feet, blood continuing to flow freely from his cranium as he moves in towards Desperado and Metal Dragon, stepping on Winthorp in the process. The ecstatic Desperado keeps his hold on tight as he still fails to realise that another combatant has awaken during the struggle and even taken a hold on Metal Dragon's ankle, twisting it slowly and forcing the struggling GM into an even worse predicament than before.
Big Al "These idiots don't realise, if Metal Dragon taps, neither would result as the winner of the match. There would be no clear winner for the outcome, so either MD better pray that they realise this mistake, or hopefully Darkrites can stop this."
Colin Jennings "All I can say is..WHAT THE F?!"
Winthorp opens his eyes, his vision of his surroundings blurring out slightly, as the blood loss is still taking a tremendous toll on his already weakened body, he lifts his head slightly and tilts it to the side, the mixed in and blurred out figures of the three veterans within his field of vision, with nothing that he can do about it, lifting an arm with no effort, Darkrites simply lets his head fall to the mat, the pain too much for him to handle in this match. Closing his eyes, the whole arena turns to darkness, and the echoing sounds of the entire arena blocked out by his own self-consciousness, Winthorp appears to be standing in his own void of nothingness, in his battered condition and nowhere to go.
"Get up.." "What?" "I said get up.."
Opening his eyes once more, The Italian Goth returns to reality, the sounds of the entire arena returning to him and his vision correcting itself, a feeling of a weak but renewable bit of energy returning to his body, The Goth lifts his body up into a seating position, he can see the submission hold locked on MD by Santiago and Desperado and quickly rolls himself up to his feet. Without effort, Darkrites runs up towards the Hardcore Assassin and sticks his right shoulder out forward, making impact with Santiago and releasing his hold on Metal Dragon, turning to Desperado, who releases his headlock, Darkrites throws out his right leg which collides with the side of Desperado's face, knocking him down to the mat.
Feeling like he's at the top of the mountain, Darkrites turns his blood stained face to the crowd and raises an arm, failing to acknowledge that he had not beaten down Santiago completely as the Hardcore Assassin returns from The Italian Goth's comeback and knocks Winthorp down to the mat with a vicious clothesline, hitting the mat with a weak thud, Darkrites lays spread eagle, the adrenaline running out and leaving him laid out on the ground.
Santiago turns back to the weakened Metal Dragon and pulls him up to his feet, standing behind him and placing both arms underneath the arms of the GM and pulling them up, locking both hands securely on the back of MD's head in a Full Nelson submission hold, MD once again begins screaming in pain after taking not only a headlock, but an ankle lock and a full nelson, the odds are now stacked against the GM of TNT as Dominik Santiago applies more pressue to the back of Dragon's head.
Colin Jennings "In not even ten minutes, we've witnessed a hell of a lot of changes in the entire match up, Winthorp's brief comeback and knockdown, which saved Metal Dragon from both submission holds but also the holds being applied to Dragon who seems to be the pin pointed victim in this final phase."
Big Al "All I can say to MD is..Sorry about your damn luck."
With nothing left to do, Metal Dragon appears to be succumbing to the submission hold, getting groggier with each second that goes by, consciousness seeming to slip from him. Santiago plays to this and foolishly releases pressure on the hold, thinking that he has the victory in the bag, had Metal Dragon not been feinting the entire time, Santiago's victory could've been ensured, however the ever-so-sly MD pulls one arm out of the hold, shocked with this sudden outburst, Santiago releases the hold completely, Metal Dragon compromises his situation by wrapping an arm around Santiago's head, keeping his jaw rested upon his shoulder, running forward and jumping into the air, MD hits the mat with the Hardcore Assassin's jaw on his shoulder which jerks the entire body of Santiago's to the mat, the crowd erupting in cheers.
Colin Jennings "Well, it looks like we've seen three different variations of Desperado's own move used in this match altogether now. We have Desperado's DKO, Santiago's variation called the SKO and now we have Metal Dragon's own version which I could dub..the MDKO."
Big Al "Where you come up with these names, only god knows."
With the execution of the 'MDKO' all four superstars now lie motionless in the ring, the final phase in NeXuS still going on and the crowd just drinking in each bit of detail that's occuring in the match, with no advantage going to anyone in the match up.
Colin Jennings "The four finalists lay motionless in the ring, this may be just the turning point in the match, and if I may make my own remark on this..'The early bird gets the first submission hold in the NeXuS Deathmatch', so whoever gets to their feet is the one with the clear advantage here."
Big Al "For the love of god Colin, don't ruin both a good quote and a hell of a Deathmatch with your shitty remarks, this is NeXuS, not a poetry club, drop your latte and harden the fuck up. The winner is the guy who makes the other whine-o tap, simple as that, no flashy gimmicks, no cheap shenanigans, just pure extreme wrestling..and that's what Gods and Heretics Wrestling is all about."
As time continues on, and the match still taking place, the superstars still show no signs of movement after all the brutality. The camera fades to black to commercials.
TBC.
