Eric The Torture just defeated Dyna Mike Duncan to become the number 1 contender for the Lieutenant X-Force Championship. After Eric's short celebration, the camera goes to the announce team that is sitting ringside.
Jennings: Great match by two GHW legends, but Eric was the better man tonight, and we'll see him in action at Dawn of Destruction this Sunday. Ladies and gentlemen, it's not too late to order the PPV, and with all the great matches the new management has in store, you need to contact your local cable company.
Mulligan: Eric is indeed very lucky tonight, but come Sunday, it may be a different story for him when gold is on the line. Dawn of Destruction is shaping up well though, I must admit.
Jennings: Not to cut you off, Big Al, but we have a development backstage near the locker room of The Angel of Darkness, who we will see later tonight take on Tito Ortiz in a #1 contender match for the Colonel Championship. Let's go to our cameras to see what's going on over there.
Pacing back and forth in front of The Angel of Darkness' locker room is a stocky gentleman with a silver crew cut haircut and silver beard and mustache. His attire immediately catches the eye of any onlooker, as he is donned in a yellow and black plaid suit. His presence is undeniable, and as he eyes the camera watching him, he grunts disapprovingly. Realizing he can't wait any longer in front of the locker room without being suspicious, he raps on the door.
Behind the door, a voice can be heard.
"Who's knocking?"
The man in the gaudy outfit adjusts his tie and then smirks before responding in a thick french accent.
"Opportunité"
Silence is heard on the other end as the mysterious man waits. He raps the door again impatiently after no response. Then, the door nudges open and the face of Mia can be seen.
"Look, I don't know who you are or what you want...."
Mia stops as she sees the man's appearance and his choice of outfit. Her eyes widen and she holds back a giggle that tries to surface from her throat.
"...but The Angel of Darkness has an important fight coming up and he can't be distracted in his pre-match warm-up."
The man raises his hand in protest.
"Je ne veux pas de problèmes. I come in peace, I don't want problems. Une minute. I only want a minute to see and speak with this Angel of Darkness, s'il vous plaît."
Mia, not keen on the french language, is intrigued by this new character, and turns to say something to her client before responding to him.
"Okay, you can come in for a minute, but make this quick."
The man nods, and Mia opens the door for him to enter. As he walks into the locker room, AoD is seen sitting on a bench, wrapping his hands with tape for his upcoming match. He looks up at the intruder and double takes after seeing the unusual outfit. He pauses, sits up straight, and then waits for the strange man to speak.
"Bonjour. My name is Petre Bouchard, and I am from Quebec. I am very proud of my french heritage, but I am not fond of how Canada has molested it. I am a well-informed wrestling scout, and entrepreneur. GHW is one of the many federations that I have watched and studied over the years. You, Angel of Darkness, are one of the Superstars in this business that have caught my attention. You may ask, what does someone like me want to do with someone like you? After all, you already have a manager. You already have been mildly successful. You have already mounted a war against America....may I?"
Petre shifts across the room and grabs an extra chair and pulls it out to sit across from AoD.
"But America is just the beginning. No one has been willing to join your forces until now. I offer to expand your battle. I offer to take you to a new level so that you can overcome obstacles that seem to be out of reach."
AoD raises his eyebrow in suspicion and then sneers at the thought that this newcomer is judging his success. He sits guarded at the comments, but continues to listen.
"Let's face the facts. Vous n'avez fait rien de spectaculaire. You're not on the same level as some of the Superstars in your Division....namely Unknown Soldier."
AoD finally snaps from his silence.
"Hold on there. Don't come into MY locker room insulting me that I'm not on the level of idiots like Unknown Soldier. He's gotten lucky in his matches with me, but the luck is about to run out. I'm going to win a shot at him tonight, and then I'm going to defeat him at this month's pay-per-view. I don't need some French-Canadian telling me..."
Petre cuts AoD's rant short.
"I'm French-Quebecer, not Canadian, so get that straight. If you don't think you need my expertise, then you're just foolish. Un imbécile bête est tout ce que vous êtes. I'll prove to you and all naysayers that I am who I say I am. Soon you will see. You will see and remember my name. My impact is about to happen. Regardez votre revers. You'll wish you had greeted me a little differently."
With that, Petre unexpectedly rises from his chair and turns to exit the room. AoD and Mia both eye him suspiciously as he leaves and shuts the door behind him. Mia turns to AoD and puts her arm on his back to soothe AoD and get him back into the frame of mind for his huge match later in the evening.
"Don't worry, Angel, this place has all kinds of weirdos running around backstage. You need to focus on the #1 contendership."
AoD shakes his head and the scene ends as GHW cuts back to the broadcast team.
Jennings: What the heck was that, Al?
Mulligan: Some guy named Petre Bouchard made an unexpected visit to AoD and Mia, and neither of them look too happy about it. I hope this isn't some mind game that Unknown Soldier has planted to screw with AoD.
Jennings: It can't be good for AoD either way. His state of mind can't be 100% at this point. I don't know how he's going to pull it together for his next match, but he has no choice. Maybe we'll get some more details later about this unexpected arrival to GHW.
