A section or sub-section dedicated to the dirt sheets could serve as a way of advancing a story line or creating rumors.

My character would find that a great idea. I've built him up like The Miz.

We sometimes do that anyway, but not officially. I sometimes make RP's in to reports, which seem official, but just advance the story.

Perhaps we could do a faux news section, similar to GHW.com was? Only not as large and done more like the top 5 counts have been? Just run by one person, who people could message or get ahold of to work in small rumors or an interview of some kind to be compiled into a newsletter/short episode?
For example, being I think I confused even myself there - Article one may contain a rumor mill section that could hint at who's interested in going for a title, a couple of superstar's worst fears or something like that, highlight something big that's going on in GHW, and maybe a sit-down interview with Dominik Santiago asking some questions about how it feels to be champ again, his plans for the future, etc.

Yeah, we did something like that on VWE. People PMed/IMed with Seraph about it, and they mocked up an interview. It's fairly easy to manage IIRC.

I liked it back then, the only thing you need is someone up for running it.
We also used it for a rundown of that weeks matches, kinda like you guys do OOC in the results sheet, we just wrote up a small in char piece about each pairing.

I vote for Vlad's idea. I know some funny fuckers with a web cam that should just rip everyone like it was an official report.
