The scene opens in what seems to be a small, two room apartment, somewhere in the suburbs of Florida. The sound of the television can be heard and the voices that are heard through the messy room happen to be those of GHW’s very own commentary team of Collin Jennings and Al Mulligan, who are heard doing their job, giving their opinions about some match going on.
Situated a little way back behind the television screen is a fading old couch, which apparently seems empty. Amidst the sound of the television, the sound of a door creaking open is heard nearby and approaching footsteps can be heard. Moments later a girl in her 30’s enters the room, dressed in all black, along with sporting black lipstick and excessive dark mascara around her eyes. Her eyes trace pathways across the room, as she makes a disgusted face at the state of place, with newspapers littered at one side, some beer bottles placed over a table near the couch, among other littered items.
"STANLEY!! What the heck have you done to this God damned place. I got out for a while and you’ve already turned it into a shit hole,", the voice heard is that of Rachel Dreamer, identifying the girl as Stan Dreamer’s wife.
"Would you keep your voice down woman! I’m trying to watch this, and besides, I was looking for a job, not that I found any that would probably work out.", while Stan’s voice can be heard, he still can’t be spotted in the room yet.
"Stan! Would you turn the television off!! We need to talk, NOW!"
Rachel just stands there, her hands placed over her hips, a pisses off expression sprawled over her visage. Finally some ruffling is heard over the couch and the man once known as Stan Dreamer is spotted getting of the couch and standing into a vertical position, the television remote in his hand, which he points at the T.V. to shut it off and throwing it back on the couch. Stanley now turns towards his wife’s direction, his hair appearing messy, now bearing a longer length than people had seen him having before.
A despising look visible over Stan’s face, his eyes drooping, he addresses his wife, "What is it?!"
"What is it? Oh, that’s funny, Rachel chuckles, ”you’re asking what it is. You already know what’s wrong here."
"Apparently I don’t!"
"Everything Stanley, EVERYTHING!! Look at us, look at yourself, look at where we’re living and try to recall where we had been in the past. So why don’t you do us all a favor and get a JOB! Oh, and if you can’t do that then get your sorry butt off that couch and get back to what you were once good at doing.”
"You want me to work? You know there’s nothing worth shit in those papers, or well, nothing that I’d be good at doing. And! You of all people know I don’t wrestle anymore. I left that world long time back, I’m not going back!"
"Oh! To hell you are! We need this Stan, we need to get out of here. This is not our scene, this is not where we belong.”
Rachel’s expressions now seem softening, as if trying to plead with her husband, Stan starts walking across the room, nearing Rachael step by step and approaching her.
"Look at me hun!” Stan places his hand under Rachael’s chin tilting hear head up so that she is staring straight at him. "You know this wouldn’t work out. It never did. I was never taken seriously. Never given the big spots, never rising. You know It doesn't matter what you had for dinner! Because I spent my time living under a shadow, being considered second best, second to everything and that shadow has been over me all my life.”
Rachael now looks frustrated as she shrugs Stan’s fingers from under her chin, her voice now bearing a raised tone, "Uhh!! We need this Stan, I know we’ve been living here so far away in this dump just so you can hide from that shadow, but don’t you see! Don’t you see that you can’t run forever, you can’t just seclude yourself from the things you once lived for. You can shut your dreams down Stan. It’s time to live them, its time to make these dreams true. It’s time you went out there and showed them that you belong at the top of the food chain.”
It seems that an anger is boiling within Stan which he tries to hold down, grinding down on his teeth, Stan places both arms over Rachel’s shoulders, "What do you want from me hun? What exactly do you want me to do?”
Rachael’s anger reaches a zone near Dreamer’s, she reaches with her arms pushing Stan aside towards the other direction and smacking him into the wall behind her, where she continues to push him back with her arms, "AHH!! STANLEY! I WANT YOU TO MAN THE “FUCK” UP! STOP BEING SUCH A SISSY AND GET OUT THERE. YOU CAN DO THIS, HAVE SOME FAITH IN YOURSELF, HAVE SOME FAITH IN US. DO THIS FOR US.”
By the time Rachael finishes yelling at Stan, his head is bent down as he thinks about what she just said. Steadily Rachael lets go of her husband, back slightly away from pushing him back into the wall, but suddenly Stan grabs her by the shoulders and turns her at the other side, placing her fragile body, gently against the wall, grasping onto her arms which are now spread wide above her head, against the wall, yet Rachael shows no sign of fear but rather intently into her husband’s eyes who does the same. "You wanted this babe! Well you got it! But… I just can’t do this without you…”
"I’ll always be there for you Stan. I’ll always be by your side,” Rachael grins smugly at her husband and Stan’s response is similar as well, as he bend towards her face, letting go of her arms, their lips coming in contact, embracing into a passionate kiss. As Rachael slightly moans to the intensity of the kiss, Stan gently moves back, a somewhat menacing look now sprawled over his face.
Stan wipes his lips with the sleeves of his T-shirt, now looking straight ahead, staring into nothingness, “Well! It looks like I’m coming back, bringing with me all my misery, all my pain, to unravel it upon “you all”. Its time to step out of the shadow, you’ve lived your dreams, now it’s time to face my nightmare! The promo/scene ends with Stan and Rachael laughing menacingly in unison.
