The stage is set. The fans have arrived. It's time for the first season of GHW EVO to begin. All through the arena, fans are clapping and stomping and whooping and screaming, trying to make as much noise as possible. The opening credits play on the big screen, bathing the arena in a light blue-ish hue. Following the countdown from the ring announcer, Charlie Coors, the GHW faithful crank the volume up a notch, cheering even louder. The cameras go live, and they begin to pan the bleachers, showing the vast amount of crazy bastards who watch the show. The cameras settle on Colin and Al, who despite the new show, keep their places on the commentary table.
“Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to GHW EVO! I'm Colin Jennings accompanied, unfortunately, by Al Mulligan.”
“I'd watch your mouth if I were you...”
“Despite Al's presence, this show is going to revolutionise the wrestling industry! Let's head on over to Charlie Coors, who will tell you everything you need to know!”
The camera switches to the ring, where Coors is standing with mic in hand, ready to deliver the basics of EVO to the masses.
“Welcome to EVO! I don't know whether you all surf the internet or not and already know what this is, so here are the things you need to know about this forthcoming season.
There are nine GHW Rookies, who are each assigned a GHW Pro by management. Together, these pairings must fight through weekly battles with other Rookies and Pros, as well as special challenges designed to test different attributes you need to be a GHW Superstar! These men and women will need to work fast though, because in three episodes time, our first elimination will take place, with an elimination every week until we find out who will be the next Apex of Potential in Glory and Honor Wrestling!
Ladies and gents, let the madness begin!”
Almost as soon as Charlie finishes his welcome speech, the resounding cheers turn turn deafening boos, because Babylon Zoo's “Animal Army” hits the speakers. The man behind the music, Ryan Hughes, walks out with a shirt bearing the term “#1 PRO” in bold, white lettering. The former New Age Champion struts down the ramp, as Coors acknowledges the arrival of the Batman.
“Introducing one of your GHW Pros... Ryan Hughes!”
Ryan nods at the introduction, before clambering up the steps and hopping through the ropes. After giving Charlie a weird look, the NeXuS Champion beckons for his microphone. Reluctantly, Coors hands it over, knowing a severe butt kicking is on the cards if he defies the Mancunian. The music fades to nothing, and Hughes begins to talk in his cocky manner.
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the greatest one-sided contest in the history of professional wrestling!”
The crowd boos, obviously perceiving this as a sign of smug confidence from the Bipolar Briton. Ryan continues nonetheless.
“The trophy should be engraved right now, and my name lifted in to the coaching hall of fame, because this is over before it has even begun. My rookie, oh boy, where do I begin? He has only spent little over three months here, and already he is the hottest property on the roster. Besides me, of course.
But to be quite honest with you, I will let my rookie do the talking. This is why we are here, right? Without further ado, please welcome my rookie, and the man who is going to win season one of EVO...
Your TV Champion, DUSTIN! DELTA!”
The crowd gasp in shock and awe, and the commentators are almost left speechless too.
“Wha- wha- whaaaaaa?”
“OH YES! OH FUCKING YES! SCALP OF THE SEASON!”
“But- but HOW?!”

[glow=white,5,300]"FUCK YEAH!"[/glow] The newly added soundbyte plays, automatically followed by "Open Your Eyes" by Sum 41. Red strobe lights turn on in the arena, and the new Television Champion himself throws the curtain to his sides. In his right hand is the coveted GHW Television Championship, newly engraved with his name. He slaps his left hand on it and puts both hands on the inside of the belt and the "Floridian Falcon" holds the title high above his head. The Breakout Star points at his EVO Pro, a devilish smirk on his face. He tosses the title belt over his shoulder and makes his way toward the squared cicle, more than excited.
"I-I don't understand! What's going on here?"
"I DON'T KNOW, COLIN, BUT I FREAKIN' LOVE IT ALREADY." [/b][/color] Dustin jumps up to the ring apron and turns to the capacity crowd, holding the TV Championship strap high above his head. He laughs to himself, and jumps up, backflipping into the ring. He shakes hands with Ryan Hughes, who hands him a microphone. The Everglades Native turns back to the audience and the cameras, smiling. For the first time in his GHW career, he's actually going to speak. He stops for a minute to look around--at the "Vintage Batmanite" beside him, the Television Championship resting on his shoulder, and the audience packed in all directions, not sure if it's reality or a dream. He nods his head, taking it all in.[shadow=black,left,300] "Ever since I came here to Glory and Honor, I haven't been much of a speaker. In contrast to my pro, Ryan Hughes, I was a more introversial superstar--I've been letting my actions speak for themselves. Perhaps that's why Ryan Hughes is my pro--to get me to come out of this so-called shell. Well let me tell you, he has nothing to worry about. Now that I'm the Television Champion, you people won't hear the end of it."[/shadow] Delta pauses, laughing. He looks around again, nodding his head. He adjusts his championship, as it had been falling off of his shoulder, the pinnacle whilst it properly belonged. [shadow=black,left,300] "You know, with this whole EVO thing, there's one thing I don't understand. Why in the world am I a rookie? If anything, I'd assume that the Television CHAMPION would be a Pro if anything--but hey, I get to work with Ryan Hughes, so whatever. But that's not the reason I'm gonna win EVO. I'm going to win EVO because I'm Dustin Delta--I'm the Television Champion! FUCK---YEAH!"[/shadow] Dustin holds up his championship once more, the fans booing like hell at the man who they cheered for only days before at Code Blue. They break out in a "YOU BOTH SUCK" chant which lasts a few moments before the arena lighting changes, the fans begin to cheer, and a familiar tune begins to play over the system. [/center]

As the entrance music of none other than The Pureblood begins to play over the system, both Hughes and Delta turn their attention to the entranceway, both annoyed at being interrupted. They don’t have to wait long before Skull bursts through the curtain, followed by Tyson Smith.
Coors: Introducing GHW EVO Pro Skull and his Rookie Tyson Smith!
As the party crashers make the way toward the ring, all the fans in the arena begin to cheer, further incensing the duo in the ring. Once they reach the ring, Skull receives a microphone and they both climb through the ropes to meet their very vocal opponents. The Pureblood raises his microphone to his lips to speak but before he gets the chance to say anything, the former New Age Champion cuts him off.
“What the hell are you doing interrupting me?”
With both competitors almost nose to nose in the centre of the ring, the tension rises as the fans anticipate a possible altercation between the two.
Big Al: I agree with Ryan, what is Skull doing out here?
Colin: Well it’s no secret that Skull and Hughes don’t get along. It all started when Ryan beat Skull in his GHW debut and the two haven’t shared a kind word with eachother since. Maybe Skull just couldn’t stand to watch Ryan highjack Evo.
The standoff in the ring is finally broken when Skull takes a step back and begins to speak.
“I’m terribly sorry to break up this exciting edition of the ‘Ryan Hughes and Dustin Delta Show’ but somebody needed to do something to save the ratings. You know Ryan, there’s a reason your rookie has never spoken before and that’s because he’s sending everyone to sleep. Letting him anywhere near a live microphone was a worse decision than creating and all-diva season of NXT. The TV champion is supposed to be the face of GHW, Dustin Delta here has a face for radio. But what can I say? He must get his looks from his pro.”
The fans begin to laugh as Delta advances toward Skull, but Ryan sticks his arm out to hold his rookie back.
Big Al: How can Skull have the gall to call Ryan and Dustin ugly? He’s the one that comes out like a painted freak every night.
“If you wanna talk about rookies, let’s talk about Tyson “Bulldawg” Smith. My 6’3”, 335 pound powerhouse of pain and destruction. If your rookie is as great as you both think he is then I’m sure he won’t mind stepping in the ring with Tyson right here, right now. And to make things a little more interesting, let’s say we put the TV title on the line as well. Unless you don’t think your rookie is up to the challenge that is.”
The fans jump to their feet at the prospect of seeing a title match on the first episode of GHW Evo while, next to Skull, the potential challenger cracks his knuckles, his stare fixed firmly on Delta.
“Oh my, things are kicking off already. We could be about to see a TV title match right now.”
“Tyson as done nothing to earn a title shot. There’s no way this is gonna happen.”

After having a moment to take in this information, the tension is cut by the sounds of chortles. This is soon followed full on laughter as Hughes and Delta hold on to eachother for fear of rolling on the canvas in stitches. The two hyenas struggle to get their breath back, but take one look at Skull and Tyson before bursting in to laughter once more. After what seems like hours of mocking chuckles, the two finally compose themselves, before a look of worry hits both of their faces almost simultaneously. Delta slowly raises the mic to his lips.
“Oh- er... Oh shit. Do you think he was serious?”
“I- er... I think he is...”
“Oh boy, time to explain something. Tyson, listen up jumbo. You have had one match here, and you were outclassed in every department. Hell, Ziu isn't even THAT good! Whatever, that brings your record to zero...”
Ryan curls his thumb and forefinger to make an “0” shape...
“...and one. That means you are nothing. You are a loser. You are talentless, and nobody likes you besides this make-up wearing, crime fighting freak!”
Tyson begins to chew on nothing, steeling himself for a brawl with the douchebag in front of him.
“Speaking of Skull, you should know better. I thought a Hall of Famer like you would never resort to building someone up for a fall like you are doing now. It takes someone special to win on their debut, or an extremely piss poor opponent. Skull, I believe in our case, it was the latter.”
That is the last straw for the Conducter of the Coffin Cruise, and he lets fly at the pairing. The anger clouds Skull's judgement though, and Hughes ducks the attempted punch, before rushing out of the ring. Dustin soon scarpers too, clutching his TV title as the pair escape up the ramp. Looking back at the enraged duo in the ring, Hughes speaks.
“About your match, you got it. About the title shot? No dice. Aren't we right bastards to you guys? Let me answer that, yes we are...
BECAUSE I'M RYAN HUGHES, AND YOU'RE NOT!”
Dustin leans in to the mic, wanting his share of the spotlight too.
“FUCK YEAH!”
And on that note, the two exit the arena, leaving Skull and his Rookie Tyson to stew in the ring as EVO goes on a break.

OOC: Can we turn this into a thread where each of the pros and rookies come out and hype themselves up, as EVO probably would at the start of the season (I mean in one segment, rather than in a whole bunch of different threads).
We are all going to want to do this anyway, I think it would be good to have one place where we can follow the entire storyline, maybe even create other side stories.
I am going to edit this post with an entrance, Ryan, this may mean that you have to alter the end of your post to fit.

OoC: Normally, I wouldn't disagree--but the point of this segment was more to hype the main event and to put a bit more fuel in the perpetual rivalry of Ryan Hughes and Skull. Bringing out everyone else would kill that, no questions asked.

Cool, I only just saw the match card, and that makes sense.
No problems, perhaps we could start another thread for the pro's to hype up their rookies???

I agree with Hayden and furthermore think this segment should be pushed up the card because the first segment should be introducing all the rookie's to their pro's. No offense Ryan, Delta, Skull or Tyson. At first I thought it was meant to be for everyone to respond to but then Pyro and Ziu were told to remove their posts.
