The New Age Champion sluggishly rises to his feet before approaching his foe's inanimate carcass. After the intial struggle, Hughes lifts the lifeless Assassin to a vertical base before dragging him toward the ring. With his teeth clenched, and his eyes narrowed, the Englishman dumps Dominik back inside the squared hell. Instead of entering himself, the champion plods toward the time keepers' table, quickly seizing a steal chair from off the rack. With the steel equalizer brandished, Hughes makes his motives clear; he was intent on defeating the Californian decisively. The Batman slid into the ring, slowly rising to his feet and towering over the battered Assassin. Opening his weary eyes, Santiago was incognizant of the situation, unaware that Ryan Hughes stood ready to strike. With a twinkle of malignance in his eyes, Hughes stalked his prey, almost begging his challenger to rise from the ashes. Dominik obliged, going against his mental and physical angusih by rising to a double over position. As he straightened up and lifting his head, the Batman went into attack mode, twisting his hips and putting a tremendous force into his motion as he swung the chair through the electric atmosphere.
To a stunning dismay, the challenger had enough wits to evade the attack, ducking his head and manuevering into a dominant position. As he turned, Ryan carelessly lifted the chair to his face in a desperate attempt to protect himself. Hughes' efforts proved futile, as the Assassin quickly leaped into the air before extending his leg, driving his boot into the steal chair and simultaneously sending the chair back into Ryan's face. The two superstars once again lied dormant on the canvas, panting heavily, and staring at the ceiling lights.
Jennings: "He tried to block the kick with the chair, but ended up eating the chair and the kick at the same time."
Big Al: "A rare mistake by the Batman. Won't change the outcome of this match though, so shut your piehole."
Jennings: "Dominik just drove a chair into the champ's face Al. A CHAIR!"
Big Al: "I fail to see your point Colin."
Jennings: "That's because your so fat that you no longer have a neck and therfore cannot rotate your head."
Instead of going for the cover, Dominik rolls under the bottom rope, forgoing the pinfall to instead move to higher ground. After gradually climbing to his feet, Santiago slowly made his way across the apron before commencing his slow, ascension of the top turnbuckle. His torpid pace allows the once inert Englishman to stir, as Ryan rolls to a prone position and reacquaints himself with the steel chair. Staggering to his feet, the Batman cocks the weapon back, waiting for Dominik to reach the pinnacle of the turnbuckle before making his presence felt. With haste and out of desperation, Hughes tosses the chair forward. The steal weapon clashes agaisnt the cranium of the GHW icon, forcing him crash from the turnbuckle to the canvas and successfully thwarting his efforts.
Having created a window of opportunity, Hughes marches to a vertical base, once agains stalking his foe. The dazed Assassin grogilly rises to his feet, forcing The Englishman to act. He quickly reaches in between the Californian's legs before lifting him upside down.
"He's gonna end Dominik's night in emphatic fashion!!! He's going for it!"
"He's looking to send him on the most painful trip of his life... A TRIP TO GOTHAM!"
Aware of the champion's intentions, Dominik quickly squirms, causing Ryan to lose his grip. Santiago somehow manages to slide down Ryan's back, while simultaneously capturing the Batman in an inverted facelock. In one fluid motion, the challenger spins under his adversary, while maintaining his grip. The California born Assassin drops to the canvas, simultaneously planting the Mancunian Mauler face first into mat. The two lay quiscent admist the ruckus crowd, as the sudden occurence of one deadly, patent finisher had caused an uproar.
"OH MY GOD! COUNTERED! SKO OUT OF NOWHERE! HE ROLLED HIM INTO THE SKO!"
"NO WAY! UN-FRICKEN-BELIEAVABLE!"
The Assassin slowly stirs to life, rolling the Chief Batmanite to a supine position before draping his arm over his chest. As the cheers continue to fill the arena, the referee commences his count.
"ONE!"
"TWO!"
"THREE!"
With the bedlam created, the roof of the Peterson Events Center is almost blown off as Dominik slides off the lifelessly sprawled Englishman, his eyes bulged and his mouth gaping, almost benumbed with astonishment. The bell chimes, almost drowned out by the vociferous cheers of the live audience. The Assassin falls prone into the mat, burying his face into the canvas, the effects of the current marvel.
"He did it! History no... destiny Al! We're crowning a new New Age Champion!"
As he slowly lifts his head and opens his eyes, Santiago's attention is held by the referee who stands over top of him, holding the New Age Championship in his hand. As "Aftermath" by Strapping Young Lad rumbles onto the P.A. system, the realization of what just occured finally sets in. The Californian grabs the prestigious belt, burying his face into the centerpiece. Domink crawls across the ring before rising to his knees, hands clutching the title's straps. Stricken with uncontrollable emotions, the now two time Heavyweight Champion hoists his championship into the air with upmost pride.
Coors: "The winner of this bout, and NEW GHW NEW AGE CHAMPION... DOMINIK SANTIAGO!!!"
Dominik rolls under the bottom rope before leaping over the barricade and diving into a sea of spectators, all happily embracing the New World Champion with open arms.
"I can't believe what just happened Colin, what is happening. That SKO was so sudden... Hughes never saw it coming. Dominik Santiago is our New Age Champion!"
"For two years the New Age Championship has eluded Dom. For two years, he's had to live with echoes in his head. Echoes that his first reign was a fluke, and that he was overrated. Echoes that he could never relive this moment, and realize this dream. The ceiling has been officially shattered, and the Assassin is on top of GHW once more. On this day, July 4, 2010, at Red, White and Bruised, Dominik Santiago has made history for the second time!"
"What a heartbreaker for Ryan Hughes. He gained prominence, only to have this lowly Assassin steal his thunder!"
"Don't rain on the parade Al. We're partying all the way until Tuesday. Dominik Santiago folks, your new World Champion and now a two time New Age champion!"
Santiago quickly climbs the stairs, with security following his every move. As the new champion reaches the top, he turns to face his loyal fans, before once again hoists the New Age Title into air, eliciting another strong chorus of cheers from the sold out arena.
"What an ending to a great night. We crownwed a new Television Champion, we've got Tag Team Champions, and now, Dominik Santiago... your New Age Champion!"
"I'm still shocked. I'm sorry to those watching at home and I apologize that we have to go out on this note. We'll see you this Tuesday Night folks. Goodnight everybody!"
