OoC: This was written before Kahlan threw her post up, but too good to waste in my eyes. Ryan, I don't mean to piss on you or bury you or anything, this was just meant to establish a possible rivalry between either Kahlan or I and it finally forms the tag team of Kahlan and Double D. I do apologize, but I was given the clear from Jared.
"McFearless" by Kings of Leon sounds off throughout the arena, the crowd receiving the entrance of the beloved Ladder Queen, Kahlan Clarkson, with a warm and delighted reception. Kahlan's smile tells the entire story. There's more to this match than meets the eye. There's a history. Kahlan has been chasing a shot at the GHW Championship for months upon months now. If Dustin Delta is upset at the fact that Ryan Hughes can come out of retirement to capture the gold, it can only be imagined how enraged Kahlan must be. The British Blitz descends down the ramp, suited in an adorable yellow and black attire as she draws nearer to the ring. Within the confines of the ropes, Ryan and Dustin hardly resemble a cohesive unit, as Ryan stands in a corner consecutive to Double D, his eyes locked on the newly crowned King of the Deathmatch Champion, who seems pretty relaxed in the midst of this tense aura. The Petite Pulverizer steps through the ropes and into the ring, going about her normal routine, taunting to appease to the GHW Faithful, the ones she loves. The night's speaking is hardly over, as Kahlan herself is equipped with a functioning microphone. Stepping down from the second turnbuckle, where she had been posing, Kahlan moves towards the center of the ring, turning to face the two champions who she'll be facing tonight. The smirk painted onto her visage's canvas is cute, yet deceptive. She only takes a moment to survey the "interesting" scene played out before her before she begins to speak.
"I have to apologize, boys. My tag team partner is running a bit late tonight, he'll show up a bit late. But I have no problem starting the match-up right now. And I want to start it against you, Ryan. I'm going to earn my shot at that pretty little thing around your waist, and I don't mean your panties, by defeating you. And then I'll prove that history repeats itself." Ryan gives a humored chuckle as a response, and proceeds to step out to the apron, but to his discontent, the Sleepwalker has already claimed his spot outside of the rope's aggressive borders. The amused countenance of the Mancunian Mastodon quickly becomes that of annoyance towards his partner, who manages to find himself at home on the ring's underskirt. Ryan hands off his championship to the staff standing by at ringside, and shakes out his limbs to prepare for the bout. Kahlan sidesteps about, fists raised as the bell rings to call for the combatants to engage in battle. Hughes and Clarkson circle around the ring's center, and although she tries to evade, the Ladder Queen is caught in a tie-up by the massive champion known as Ryan Hughes. Unable to overpower him, Kahlan becomes putty in the hands of the British Badass, who underhooks both arms and transitions into a suplex variant, dropping the Blitz into a vulnerable supine position. While his foe is downed, Hughes advances, mounting himself over Kahlan and stomping the sole of his boot into the shoulders of Little K, who instinctively rolls a few paces out of the way in an escapade. Frustrated now, the Perfect Gentleman reaches down to latch his hands around the head of the Cutting Chick again, but she retaliates, biting the hand of the Brit. The referee lectures her for a moment, but the crowd finds it comedic to some extent. Ryan steps away, holding his palm and checking to see if the teeth dug deeper than the skin. Meanwhile, Kahlan scurries back to her corner, and puts her hands through the ropes, to possibly tag in her partner, who is now arriving! The camera pans out and reveals the identity of Kahlan's wingman in this endeavor to be--
Dustin Delta.
"What in the world?! Is Dustin Delta Kahlan's partner tonight?"
"It sure as hell looks like it! Clarkson just tagged in Double D, and Hughes isn't even paying attention! Get your head in the game, champ!"
The hands of Kahlan and Double D meet, and the arbiter acknowledges it, gesturing to show that the tag was made. Ryan turns around and is caught off guard but finds himself on the receiving end of a dropkick from the Fire Cracker, knocking down the Mastodon. Fortunately, Hughes is able to block his fall and land himself on all fours, so he may hopefully take a breather. But Dustin Delta sees this as an opportunity to go on the offensive. The Kingship Courier runs the ropes, building up momentum as he closes in on the downed body of the man he thinks to be a thief--a common burglar. The King of the Deathmatch plants both feet on the spine of the Manchester native, using him as a springboard to launch himself into the air. While airborne, Dustin adjusts his body and cascades down with his elbow bent with precision, and the elbow comes crashing down on the head of Ryan Hughes, who hits the mat and goes out like a light. The reaction is mixed, but Delta doesn't give it much thought as he sprints to Kahlan, tagging her in as quickly as he can. Ecstasy running through her blood like adrenaline, the Cutting Chick is nearly tripping over her own feet as she dashes to the champion, hooking both legs in a pinfall. The referee slides down prone and counts it.
"1!
2!
3!"
The crowd pops huge in a celebratory manner, and "Here To Show The World" by Downstait plays again, much to Ryan's surprise. The champion may not even be aware of his whereabouts at this point. The champion remains half-awake on the canvas while the referee raises the arm of Kahlan in victory. Delta lashes his head back and forth, seeming absolutely mad as he celebrates. The ringside crew fetches him the King of the Deathmatch Championship and his Project Wrestling Olympic Championship, but Double D also takes the GHW Championship title from the small stand for it not even a few feet away from the announcer's table. All three championships in hand, the King of Hearts rolls into the ring, where he is instantly ambushed by Kahlan, who hugs him with an overjoyed expression. Smiling back at her, Delta hands her the GHW Championship strap, and she holds it high above her head as if it were her own. Nearly in tears, Clarkson jumps up to the second turnbuckle and holds the championship high above her head, possibly foreshadowing the near future. Dustin joins her, placing one foot on the second rope and one on the third, right beside her, as he holds up both of his championship titles, soaking in the limelight with the Ladder Queen. The audience applauds approvingly as Charlie Coor's voice booms onto the P/A system.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the winners of this match...The team of Kahlan Clarkson and the King of the Deathmatch Champion, Dustin Delta!"
Delta straps the Deathmatch title around his waist and leaves the Olympic title on his shoulder as she steps back down onto the mat. Kahlan turns around on the turnbuckle and jumps down, Dustin catching her and holding her in his free arm in a celebratory manner as "Here To Show The World" continues to play.
"Do what I say, better watch what I do;
Better heed the warning I'm here to give you!
If you ever doubted me, you don't have a clue!
I'm here to show the world!
I'm here to show the world!
I hold your life here in my hands,
Though you try hard to understand...
Your little mind won't turn,
Those little wheels will burn,
You'll recognize just who I am!
Bring it on!
Do what I say, better watch what I do;
Better heed the warning I'm here to give you!
If you ever doubted me, you don't have a clue!
I'm here to show the world!
I'm here to show the world!"
Double D and Little K seem to scream "Bring it on!" in unison with the song and each other as Kahlan moves to sit on Delta's shoulders to celebrate following TNT's main event screwjob. The Sleepwalker walks over to the fallen body of Ryan Hughes, where Kahlan carelessly drops the championship onto his breathing corpse, trying to show less respect for the Mancunian than the prestigious title. The Special One jumps down from Delta's shoulders and embraces him again outside of the ring, as they begin to walk up the incline towards the stage. Once on the stage, Delta hands her the Project Wrestling Olympic Championship, and Delta picks up his Deathmatch title, each of them holding one in the air as the music blares and the lights flare. Hughes only begins to sit up as Kahlan kisses Dustin on the cheek and the feed fades to black, the ending of this week's exhilarating episode of Thursday Night Triumph.
