As the trio of GHW commentary discusses an upcoming match on the card, there's a disturbance in the arena coming from a microphone. As the cameras pan back to the ring, Barta Bull, John Vendetta, and Sabrina are all standing aside one another.
"Do I have your attention now? Good."
"I knew this night was going too well..."
"It's that one and only special night isn't it? Yeah, IT'S NEXUS! YEAH!"
A tidal wave of cheers rise from the crowd despite the speaker.
"No. Not YEAH. I say boo."
Boos.
"I say boo. Last year, I participated in NeXuS unwillingly. It was all the rage. Compete and you could win an exclusive championship opportunity of your choosing! It's the perfect opportunity for the average guy like myself, is it not? I could be the face of this company! But, there's just one small problem with all of this."
A synonymous "WHAT?" is heard from the crowd.
"Has anyone in the brief history of NeXuS ever been victorious as the average Fighty fighty person? The answer is NO. That imperial horseshit match is designed to make the so-called prestigious even more of a sellout than they already are."
"We have a NeXuS winner among us as we speak. And he's sitting right there!"
The ringside pans around to Matthew Oliveria at the table alongside Al and Colin, who is sporting a puzzled look.
"THE HARDCORE GENIUS! WINNER OF THE FIRST EVER NEXUS DEATHMATCH! You see, its all because of him that we're having this little chat now. Ladies and gentleman, your NeXuS champion Matthew Oliveira. And look at where that legend is now. He's sitting at a shotty commentary table. How the shades of gold have faded, eh?"
The disapprove of the audience grows darker as The Terrible Toro continues his senseless ranting.
"Speaking of NeXuS winners! We have another one here tonight worth mentioning, Ryan Hughes. A man who doesn't have a cent begin with is going all in on NeXuS tonight to salvage a lackluster mediocre career at GHW. Admit it, each and every one of you got that sparkle in your eye when he showed up with that Golden Ticket. You said, THIS IS IT. Hughes is back!"
HUGHES! HUGHES! HUGHES!
"And you're welcome Hughes for me softening 'ol Dom up for ya. The next pay-per-view, Santiago is standing above a down and out Hughes once again reassuring you that empty glory manifests as nothing, just as it begins. And now, Ryan Hughes has his eyes set on NeXuS. I have faith that this final embarrassment will give him just empathy to do us all a favor and hang it up for good."
"Now that's just blatant disrespect!"
"Maybe that will send a message to GHW to finally put away all of these so-called legends and realize the outstanding talent that's right in front of your beady little eyes."
"I have a message for you. I have a message for all of you. It's prime time that Public Enemies begins their rightful march. As any great observer, we will start from the very bottom. That bottom is the tag team championships. For too long has the FBI been unchallenged. We are the worthy challengers you've been craving. August 12th. The FBI vs. Public Enemies for the GHW Tag Team Championships. At long...long last, there will be a true team of champions. Not just a ragtag team of washed up talents with British accents."
"Feel free to invite Hughes if he has enough dignity to show up at another GHW event after successfully disappointing everyone for the last time."
"Tell 'em!"
Sabrina snatches the mic away from Barta's grasp.
"Know your enemy."
With that, the trio casually exits the ring, absorbing the rising hatred from the sold out GHW Arena. BB rotates while walking up the entrance ramp, casting glances toward the masses.
