This is the RP Power 5 including Tried and Convicted (6/22/08). Any and all questions or comments about your placement can be directed at me through a private message that I will gladly answer and explain. Congratulations to everyone on the Power 5.
On a non-robotic note though... I got tired of these not being posted. I know Desperado left and Dominik volunteered for it in the GHW Jobs thread, and wasn't replied to. Dominik, if you want to take over from here, be my guest man. I'm not trying to be obtrusive, I just wanted these up. Also, I stayed non-biased and objective to ALL of these placements. Just like in the VOW Power 20, I'm never going to (intentionally at least) try to screw someone over.
Superstars in yellow have ascended or entered the Power 20
Superstars in white have stayed idle for the week
Superstars in red have descended down the Power 20
1. Brian Commonwealth (Previous:N/A) - Brian Commonwealth has been steamrolling through competition since returning to GHW in March at Total Carnage. Brian has remained undefeated in singles competition and stays that way after defeating the NeXuS Deathmatch winner Ryu Kenamora at Tried and Convicted, and in the process proudly representing Stone Orchard. Ryu edged out Brian at NeXuS with Brian being the last eliminated, but Ryu couldn't pull it off at Tried and Convicted one-on-one. Winner and still champion: Brian Commonwealth.
2. Metal Dragon (Previous:N/A) - Metal Dragon ended up losing in the NeXuS Deathmatch after making it to the final four, and he made no appearance since then. That is until Tried and Convicted. At Tried and Convicted, Metal Dragon cashed in his TV Title for a spot in the 6-Man Battle Royal Ladder match for the Charging Glory Championship. This sacrifice turned out to be a great decision though as he defeated long-time rival Dominik Santiago, The MetalHead, Luciano, Gnarfflinger the Butcher, Rhino, and Hayden HardKore while at the same time bringing the Charging Glory Championship to Stone Orchard.
3. Demolition Thugs (Previous:N/A) - Leading up to Tried and Convicted, the team of Gnarfflinger the Butcher and Reeves were promised a Heaven and Hell Aligned Championship match against the Golden Angel Champion, Desperado, and a partner of his choosing. Desperado soon left GHW though vacating the championships completely and seemingly leaving no match for the titles at Tried and Convicted. This was addressed by Psycho Savage and Masked Psycho A Wray though as they soon challenged Demolition Thugs in a match for the Heaven and Hell Aligned Championships. This challenge was agreed upon by General Manager Hawkeye, and the match was set. After an amazing match that took everyone by surprise, it was the initial challengers though, Demolition Thugs, that came away the victors and new Heaven and Hell Champions.
4. Damien Kain (Previous:N/A) - Damien Kain burst onto the GHW scene in early June in a big manner, winning a huge Over the Top Rope Battle Royal and instantly getting his name out there as a contender for the TV Title. A mini-tournament took place to see who would challenge for the TV Title at Tried and Convicted, and Damien was defeated in the first round by Evan "Fallen Angel". Evan and Skorpio was set for Tried and Convicted, but after Skorpio departed GHW, Damien was chosen as his replacement in the match, setting up the second encounter between Damien and Evan. Damien blew Evan out of the water this time around though, completely dominating him and at the end of the match, the announcement was made that he had joined Stone Orchard, instantly gaining him even more notoriety.
5. Ryu "ThunderHawk" Kenamora (Previous:N/A) - Participating in only his third match in GHW, it was Ryu who challenged the dominating champion, Brian Commonwealth, for the New Age Championship at Tried and Convicted. Ryu edged out Brian in the NeXuS Deathmatch at NeXuS, and many foretold of an upset in this match, but it was Brian who once again emerged victorious. Not in vain of Ryu's creditability though. The match those two men had can be instantly classified as one of the best ever in GHW as far as Singles competition goes, and is another example of how much GHW is in fact succeeding. Ryu may have come up short in this match, but he deserves a spot in the Power 5 for the diligence he showed against the champ.
