My fellow 'dubbers, over the past few weeks, it has come to my attention that participation and interest in GHW Live has gone down. As well, TNT has also seen a slight decline in activity.
As the interim General Manager of GHW Live, I (and the GHW staff) have decided to CANCEL Live as a weekly show at GHW. The date of the exact cancellation is unknown, but expect it to be between NOW and BLOOD RUNS COLD.
GHW Live will not completely disappear. Like other occurrences at PPVs, a parallel live super-show may run at Blood Runs Cold and other PPVs alike depending on the card's original size.
As far as I know, the GHW Television Championship will still remain a challenged title on TNT. Although, weekly defenses may become a thing of the past.

I personally think that weekly defenses cheapen the belt and can result in the champion 1.) losing the belt because of IRL things, and 2.) getting burnt out. I didn't like booking the weekly EVPW TV Title Match then, and I don't like it now. It also makes it harder for the champion to feud with anyone.

Speaking as a Television title legend, I concur with Rob. That is all.

Speaking as a Television title legend, I concur with Rob. That is all. But, in all seriousness, I agree. It was more of a Main Event title than TV. I only booked a TV title on 1 of 2 shows so far so... BLAME JARED!

Well fooie. Allow me to be the one to disagree with this, and to pitch a possible compromise. The TV title is supposed to be defended at every televised card, if the person who holds the title is scheduled to fight. That's the whole identity of the belt, that is it's "rule of thumb" associated with it. It is bad enough we recently had tag champs and other singles champs who rarely defended their belts, even once a month, so lets try not to do the same with the TV title. Maybe you could do away with the TV title and create a new one, breath some life into the mid card ranks? Repackage it with a new name that has no involvement with TV lol. You could even make it into a speciality title, sorta like the KOTDM title, which is reserved for folks who can fight well under ultra violent deathmatch rules. I'm sure with so many creative guys we have around here, we could come up with a good idea for it.
if we decide to do away with the TV title and hold a tournament for the new belt, we could have the last/current holder of the TV title be in the finals automatically, I suck cocks to him since he never lost the TV title.

I definitely agree with Rob's last point about the weekly defenses harming the chance to really feud for the champion. I could already tell when I had it that I was quickly going to basically be at the whim of however the contender's match from the previous week was going. I would've felt a lot worse about losing that belt if it didn't mean it opened me up for potential other things. Not to mention it would've sucked to both defend the belt AND do DFA on the same card.
But I didn't have it all that long, so what do I know?

I say keep the TV title, but scrap weekly defenses. I thought it was a good idea in terms of boosting a champions credibility but the cons far outweigh it. Bringing in a new title doesn't help matters.
