P.O.D - Youth Of The Nation
The fans in the GHW arena are calming down after a great match put on, now waiting for the match with Hawkeye and Alex. The arena lights dim and the titantron kicks onto a scene of a small playground near the GHW building. The playground is in black and white in the picture, and is obviously being pictured at night. The only noticeable sources of light are two street lights a short distance away. A voice comes over the PA that is calm and serene. the voice sounds almost sad when it speaks.
Voice: Rarely in life will an Angel be born unto the world that does not know acceptance. The divine being born with wings of opposite coloring. One white Wing, and One Black Wing. The White Wing shows the Angel it's exemption from Heaven, where it's Black Wing shows it's expulsion from Hell. These Angels are truly..... Forsaken.....
The voice fades out as the camera pans around, showing an empty swing set with 4 swings on it. The swings are being pushed lightly in the wind around them, causing the metal to scrape and the squeak to be audible over the PA. After a second, the song Youth Of The Nation by P.O.D begins to play softly. The squeaking of the metal is still audible over the song intro to the song. The words of the song kick in multiple scenes from the past.
P.O.D: Last day of the rest of my life
I wish I would've known
Cause I didn't kiss my mama goodbye
I didn't tell her that I loved her and how much I care
Or thank my pops for all the talks
And all the wisdom he shared
Unaware, I just did what I always do
Everyday, the same routine
Before I skate off to school
The scene cuts in with Alex getting ready in his locker room. He visibly sighs as the words to the song overlap all sound from the scene. After a moment, the scene switches to Hawkeye's locker room. Hawk can be seen pacing back and forth in front of the door, awaiting his match that night. The scenes are also in black and white, catching the action in the state of the emotions the two men show. The scene switches again to the arena showing the thousands of fans in their seats waiting for the match to get underway.
The scene shows an elevated ring, two trash cans full of weapons in the corners. The camera cuts through a few scenes of the bloody match. One scene being Alex stapling Hawkeye's mask to his face. Another scene shows Hawkeye leaping from the top rope of the elevated ring, landing a Phoenix Splash. The last scene from this match is Alex holding his arms up, standing on the top turnbuckle of the same ring. Alex leaps of and performs an 810 Shooting Star Splash onto Hawkeye.
P.O.D: But who knew that this day wasn't like the rest
Instead of taking a test
I took two to the chest
Call me blind, but I didn't see it coming
Everybody was running
But I couldn't hear nothing
Except gun blasts, it happened so fast
I don't really know this kid
Even though I sit by him in class
The camera kicks over to a hospital hallway. the scene shows paramedics rushing the forms of Alex Stall and Hawkeye through the hospital, both men clearly unconscious. The next scene shows a hospital room with Alex laying on a bed, his leg in a cast and hooked to I.V's and monitors. The next scene shows Hawkeye in nearly the same predicament, heavily bandaged and hooked to I.V's and monitors.
The camera then kicks over to the front of the hospital on a shiny day. Alex Stall and Hawkeye walk out of the hospital at the same time, not even looking at each other. The two men are greeted by KingBear and a new man that they either didn't know, or didn't know well. Zantazm offers his hand to them and they both look disheartened at the shirt that KingBear is wearing. The shirt showing the letters GHW.
P.O.D: Maybe this kid was reaching out for love
Or maybe for a moment
He forgot who he was
Or maybe this kid just wanted to be hugged
Whatever it was
I know it's because
The scene cuts in to clips of the beginning of Hawkeye and Alex's careers in GHW, both men having wonderful successes. The scene shows Alex standing over Giordano Jazz and Dave Carter, holding his first Title Belt. The next scene shows Alex and Hawkeye once again facing off in a ring for the Title, and Alex losing to Hawkeye once again. The camera pans in on Alex's face, which is nearly emotionless as Hawkeye holds onto the belt he formerly held. A single tear falls down the man's face as the scene fades out.
P.O.D: We are, We are, the youth of the nation
P.O.D: Little Suzy, she was only twelve
She was given the world
With every chance to excel
Hang with the boys and hear the stories they tell
She might act kind of proud
But no respect for herself
She finds love in all the wrong places
The same situations
Just different faces
Changed up her pace since her daddy left her
Too bad he never told her
She deserved much better
This scene opens up with Izzy Wright debuting onto Genesis against GI Ho. The clip of GI Ho standing over Izzy in her debut match plays with Izzy looking disheartened and angry. The next scene shows Amanda fighting in her office with Hayden and Hawkeye. The results are shown with Amanda looking depressed and nearly crying over the fight.
The camera cuts to the scene of Izzy standing next to her father's grave, looking depressed and yet has a determined look on her face. Izzy nods to the grave and walks off with a tear rolling down her cheek but a determination to push forward in her eyes. The camera then cuts to Amanda in the gym, running on a treadmill with a determined fire in her eyes. The seen then shows Amanda smiling to Hawkeye and Jeff Hardy as her trainer leans into the turnbuckle of the practice ring, winded from Amanda's training to return to the ring.
P.O.D: Johnny boy always played the fool
He broke all the rules
So you would think he was cool
He was never really one of the guys
No matter how hard he tried
Often thought of suicide
It's kind of hard when you ain't got no friends
He put his life to an end
They might remember him then
This scene opens with Lil Rey Ray walking out to the ring with the Heavyweight belt in his possession. The titantron shows clips of Lrey's match with Skull, ending in a Skullcanrana, causing Lrey to lose his title. The camera then clips to the roof of the SCW building, showing Brett Steel fall from the roof of the building with his partner and two opponents, ending in a long hospital stay and the most emotional moment in SCW.
The camera clicks over to a scene of The New Era beating the hell out of Jeff Hardy in front of his long time partner Lrey. Lrey clenches his jaw and walks off after the deed is done, the same fire in his eyes that were in Amanda and Izzy's. Brett is shown again in a Tag Team match with Sledge. Brett is then shown walking away from the yard he had been beaten in, losing the tag team titles. Brett looks into the camera, his eyes showing the same as the other three.
P.O.D: You cross the line and there's no turning back
Told the world how he felt
With the sound of a gat
The camera then cuts back to the swing set, but this time, the four swings are holding Izzy Wright, Lil Rey Ray, Brett Steel and Amanda. The four are sitting with their elbows on their knees and are looking to the ground. their eyes cant be seen by the angles of their head. Alex and Hawkeye walk up from behind them, Alex passing between Izzy and Lrey at the same time that Hawkeye passes between Brett and Amanda. The four that were sitting stand up slowly and look into the camera, all 6 of them with that bold determination in there eyes.
Alex: Exempted from Heaven.....
P.O.D: We are, We are, the youth of the nation
Hawkeye: Expelled from Hell....
P.O.D: Who's to blame for the lives that tragedies claim
No matter what you say
It don't take away the pain
That I feel inside, I'm tired of all the lies
Don't nobody know why
It's the blind leading the blind
The camera clicks in with clips of Alex and Hawkeye as they shake hands to form the Forsaken Angels. The next clip is of Alex and Hawkeye welcoming in Amanda to the stable backstage. Lrey is shown next being inducted by Alex at the GHW Music Festival. Finally Brett is shown shaking hands with Hawkeye and Alex at his induction.
P.O.D: I guess that's the way the story goes
Will it ever make sense
Somebody's got to know
There's got to be more to life than this
There's got to be more to everything
I thought exists
The six people are shown again, this time sitting in a small group in the front row of the GHW arena. they are all six smiling and joking around. All six of them look happy to be in each other's company.
P.O.D: We are, We are, the youth of the nation
The camera pans in on the six Forsaken Angels and they all look at the screen and nods smiling.
Izzy: We were cast out by our peers.....
Lrey: And stabbed in the back by friends.....
Brett: We were beaten and broken.....
Amanda: By enemies and loved ones all the same.....
Hawkeye: But we rose up from the ashes.....
Alex: And came together to become......
All: Forsaken Angels and Life Long Friends.
