Michael Lansberg: Welcome to Off the Record, I'm you host Michael Lansberg, and today I'm up front with GHW Charging Glory and tage team champion Gnarfflinger the Butcher. Gnarf, welcome to the show.
GtB: Glad to be here, Michael.
ML: First off, congradulations on your sucessful defence of the Tag Team title at World Warz.
GtB: Thanks. Jazz and Emblem put up a fight, but when the titles are on the line, everyone raises their game. It's the best part of being a champion.
ML: And at Nexus, you're going into an insane main event with Vladmir Strife. How did that come about?
GtB: Well, for starters, we had "Fan Appreciation month", where for three weeks, the fans picked the challengers for the titles. While the voting was going on, I was waiting my shot at Skull, and was the number 1 voted challenger to Vlad's Hardcore title, and the fans already wanted my re-match with Skull. Since I won the belt, he had to figure out how to give the fans what they demanded. And where better than the Main event at Nexus?
ML: So what can we expect?
GtB: Vlad will likely run his mouth, saying how he's so much better, and really sounding like a fool, while I will likely rebut this. I also figure that Vlad will try to take a cheap shot at me. I'll be watching out though.
ML: And as if Vlad wasn't dangerous enough, you have someone else who wants to fight you...
GtB: Yeah, Hawkeye and Lrey want the tag team titles. That I understand, and if Justin and I had lost at World Warz, we'd likely be lining up for a re-match. But to make things interesting, Hawkeye thinks he can take the Charging Glory title from me. It took both he and Alex Stall to beat me in the Walmart Death Match, and the two of them bailed out of the main event at Total Carnage. Sure I busted Hawk's balls about it in-ring segment, but it really irked me that he's do that. For the two of them to tag-stab Jake Diamond and Soundlab like that was very unprofessional. Hawkeye and Lrey will get the shot at the tag belts, because the division need to be in action, but I think that little weasel won't get a title shot at the Charging Glory title any time soon.
ML: Why would that be? Haven't you taken on all comers?
GtB: I always have, and always will, but the GM's make the matches, and the Charging Glory Champion has to be the "Go To Guy" for the company. And after that little stunt at Total Carnage, I think that Hawkeye would be down the list of contenders. I would see Rurouni, Bret Steel, King Bear, Wrecking ball, Jake Diamond, Skull and many others getting opportunities ahead of Hawkeye...
ML: But how much trouble can Hawkeye cause you until then?
GtB: That's what he has to do to get over, then that's what he's going to do. He's got some influence, and he was a great Cruiserweight champ, but he's going to run his mouth, and may take a shot at me backstage or in the Locker room, or anywhere.
ML: Justin Michael recently took a sebatical, abandoning you in the middle of the match. How much friction did that cause, and is there be any rift between you two?
GtB: Nothing that can't be worked out. I saw the look on his face when he left the Walmart. He didn't have it, and he knew it. When he came back, he had that fire in him again. He needed the time off. I didn't get much warning, but I did everything in my power to make that match everything it could be. When he came back, he came right out and said that he wasn't into the hardcore scene. While I do love the Hardcore scene, I am a Fighty fighty person, first and foremost. Professional integrity demands that I fight the occasional regular match. I have no problem with the changes that we needed to make...
ML: So you started your carreer as a cruiserweight, but grew big. And you've done it cleanly, without any steroids. How has that affected your carreer?
GtB: I think the fact that the weight gain was gradual, my body was able to handle the changes. While I am not as flashy with the aerials as I used to be, I can still fly. Mind you, I am bigger and stronger than I ussed to be, and there's maybe two or three guys that beat me with the power game...
ML: One of them being Vlad Strife.
GtB: Exactly. He's bigger and stronger. I'd like to think that I have more technical skill, speed and creativity, and that's what I'm going to use to beat him.
ML: Thanks for the interview, can you stick around and help us move the chairs and join us on the panel?
GtB: I'd love to.
ML: And will you stick around for Next Question?
GtB: You bet your ass I will.
ML: Thanks. Stick around folks, the Panel is coming up next!
