Monday Night Combat (3/24/08): The First Battle of Many
LIEUTENANT
1. Damage Control
Kid Soldier v. Agent Tran (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Kid Soldier by default
Notes: Kid Soldier and Agent Tran start off Damage Control in the Lieutenant Division and I can't wait to get the blood spilling.
2. Damage Control
Ultimate Gene v. Ito Kain (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Ultimate Gene
Notes: The creator of the Graceland Gauntlet, Elvis Kain, takes on Ultimate Gene in a Damage Control match. Maybe UG can hit Ito hard enough to knock some sense into him again.
3. Damage Control
Harold the Pretzel Man v. Dakota Manuel (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Dakota Manuel
Notes: Dakota gets to debut in a very important match, and Harold gets to show if he's back in top form. Hopefully these factors equal lots of damage.
CAPTAIN
1. Damage Control
Duece v. Psycho Savage (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Psycho Savage
Notes: Psycho Savage and Duece will meet head-to-head, and if one of them is smart, they'll pound the other's head in and move on to round 2.
2. Damage Control
Chad J0hns0n v. Scotty Dreamer (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Chad J0hns0n
Notes: Chad J0hns0n and Scotty Dreamer will be pitted against each other, and their strategies with staff will be the difference maker.
3. Damage Control
Truco v. The Immortal Mortal (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Truco
Notes: TIM will represent Israel on Team Mutt in World Warz, but can he represent himself in Damage Control in the Captain Division? Truco, who had a great month in March, says no.
COLONEL
1. Damage Control
Ben Wallace v. Billy Styles (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Billy Styles
Notes: Billy Styles needs a win like Ben Wallace needed to be traded from the Bulls. Anyone wanna flip a coin on this match?
2. Damage Control
Muhammad Hassan v. Kevin Kbango (Single-3 staff of choice)
No Contest
Notes: I thought last month was going to be Jake Steele's moment in the sun, but he faltered late in the Tournament. What does Jake have for us this month?
3. Damage Control
Backyard Brawler v. Luther (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Backyard Brawler
Notes: Backyard Brawler debuts in GHW against the Holy Roller in a Damage Control match. BB could throw around his weight and make an impression if he can pull off a strong win tonight.
4. Damage Control
Bigguns88 v. Carlito Kool (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Bigguns88 by default
Notes: Bigguns should think about joining forces with me if he wants his career to go anywhere. Now that Zant is gone, who is he gonna be able to lean on?
5. Damage Control
Eric The Torture v. Slim Shady (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Eric The Torture
Notes: Eric has looked solid since debuting, and now it's time for him to get involved with Damage Control. Slim Shady is always a tough opponent, so things could get interesting.
GENERAL
1. Damage Control
Pennylane v. I Always Lose (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: I Always Lose
Notes: Pennylane needs to start winning if he wants to go anywhere. I Always Lose stands in his way, but Penny enjoys singles matches. Staff plays a critical role in this one.
2. Damage Control
Black Dead v. YOUNG GANGSTA (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: YOUNG GANGSTA
Notes: Black Dead is ready to prove himself, and what better way than to face YOUNG GANGSTA in round one?
3. Non-Title Match
Luke Kinkade v. Ermac (Single-docs)
Winner: Luke Kinkade
Notes: Luke Kinkade did us all a favor last night when he defeated Zantazm and forced him out of this company. I had the distinct pleasure of firing Zantazm tonight, and now I get to watch Luke in action again, this time against Ermac.
TAG TEAM
1. Double Debut
Shockingly Sexy v. Unleashed Rage (docs)
Winner: Shockingly Sexy
Notes: Two new Bronze Division tag teams fight in a double debut match tonight. With Forsaken Duece promoted, I'm glad there is some fresh blood coming in.
2. Debut
The Dead Ringers v. Domination (docs)
Winner: The Dead Ringers by default
Notes: The Dead Ringers debut against Domination, and maybe Black Dead has finally found a partner that he can win with.
