Monday Night Combat (4/7/08): Ready, Aim, Fire!
LIEUTENANT
1. Ultimate Gene v. Samoa Joe KO (Cage-docs)
Winner: Samoa Joe KO
Notes: Ultimate Gene was lucky to get the last BYE in the Damage Control tournament, but he is unlucky to face a very hot Lt. Superstar, Samoa Joe. Oh, and they're fighting in a cage.
2. Damage Control
Travis Truth v. Valkyrie KD (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Valkyrie KD
Notes: In the semi-final Damage Control match, Travis Truth faces Valkyrie KD. Is Travis going to be tentative against Valk considering she's the sister of fellow Team UK member, Dyna Mike Duncan? Remember folks, this is all about damage.
3. Non-Title Triple Threat Match
ForSakeN v. Dakota Manuel v. Harold the Pretzel Man (docs)
Winner: Harold the Pretzel Man
Notes: Harold may not be winning tournaments, but he has the Lieutenant Champion's number. ForSakeN is not happy about this and will be targeting the Pretzel man in this one. Dakota might be able to take advantage of all this and score an easy win.
CAPTAIN
1. Chad J0hns0n v. War Child (Table-docs)
Winner: Chad J0hns0n
Notes: Chad proceeds to the finals of Damage Control with a BYE, but he has to get into the ring with patriotic Team Latino member, War Child. Tables will be set up, but who will get served?
2. Non-Title Match
Dyna Mike Duncan v. Psycho Savage (LMS-docs)
Winner: Dyna Mike Duncan
Notes: The Captain Champion is nearing his first Title defense at World Warz, but he's been busy with Team UK, his sister and Eric, and taking care of his protege Genesis 1. Psycho Savage will either be the whipping boy or the distraction breaker in this LMS match.
3. Damage Control
Will Powers v. Red X (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Will Powers
Notes: Will Powers faces Red X in a very promising and interesting Damage Control semi-final match. Will would love nothing more than to win this tourney and get his rematch against DMD. It will not be that easy, however, as Red X is no pushover.
COLONEL
1. Team USA v. Team Xantland
Bigguns88 v. Billy Styles (Cage-docs)
Winner: Bigguns88
Notes: All Hail Xantland! Billy Styles will proudly represent the greatest country in the world when he faces off against some American trash called Bigguns tonight. Wrapped around the ring will be a steel cage, which adds a nice touch.
2. Damage Control
Backyard Brawler 2 v. Eric The Torture (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: Eric The Torture
Notes: Backyard Brawler is making an impact, but will he be able to keep it up against the undefeated Eric The Torture? Damage Control is the name of the game, and Eric better keep his mind on the match, and not on Valkyrie.
3. Damage Control
TC Carroll v. Malcriado Beast (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: TC Carroll
Notes: TC did the impossible last week when he defeated the veteran HawkEye from Damage Control. He will try to keep living the dream against Malcriado Beast, but the devious latino will give him a stubborn fight for sure.
4. Non-Title Match (Total Carnage re-wind)
Big Daddy v. HawkEye (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Big Daddy
Notes: HawkEye needs to win this match for his mental health. After losing to Big Daddy at Total Carnage in an attempt to get his Colonel Title back, HawkEye lost in his Damage Control match last week. He won't be vying for gold this month, but at least he can say he beat the champ if he's successful in this ladder affair.
GENERAL
1. Triple Threat (Team Canada v. Team Germany/Poland v. Team USA)
Gnarfflinger v. Pennylane v. YOUNG GANGSTA (docs)
Winner: Gnarfflinger (CAN)
Notes: Three Generals, three countries and only one winner. That is the extent to this match.
2. Non-Title Match (Team Xantland v. Team Portugal)
Luke Kinkade v. Black Dead (Table-docs)
Winner: Luke Kinkade
Notes: Luke did just what he said he would last week, and that was take Striker out in a Streetfight for me. Tonight he continues to represent me and the strongest country in the world when he takes on Black Dead of Portugal in a tables match. No belt on the line here.
3. Damage Control
I Always Lose v. Martin Prince (Single-3 staff of choice)
Winner: I Always Lose
Notes: It's coming down to the final 3 of Damage Control. With y2000j getting the BYE, that leaves I Always Lose facing some scumbag named Martin Prince. I think it's time to see a Loser win.
TAG TEAM
1. Debut Match
Perfect Wonder v. Shockingly Sexy (docs)
Winner: Perfect Wonder
Notes: Perfect Wonder is the newest team in GHW, and they have already stepped up to face the champs in my open challenge for World Warz. Problem is, so have Shockingly Sexy. The two contenders will get an early taste of each other before colliding in less than 2 weeks.
2. Non-Title Match
Demonic Gangstas v. 85th Veritcal (docs)
Winner: Demonic Gangstas by default
Notes: Demonic Gangstas lost the Silver Titles for a week, but earned them back nicely on Mayhem. Who said I don't have Skull's back? That's what I thought! The Champs face 85th Vertical tonight.
3. Debut Match
ReVamped v. NSA (docs)
Winner: ReVamped by DQ
Notes: ReVamped is some lame team that decided to get together because they have nothing better to do on a Friday night. My enemies StrikerLT and Matt O take on the formidable duo called NSA in their debut.
4. Non-Title Match
Original Gangstas v. The Dead Ringers (docs)
Winner: Original Gangstas
Notes: Original Gangstas are a couple of punks that don't know if they're coming or going. Tonight they're going...to hurt....when they face The Dead Ringers.
5. Colonel World Warz II Battle
Bigguns88 (USA) v. Luther (UK) v. Matthew Oliveira (CAN) v. Big Closet (POR) v. HawkEye (JAP) v. Terremoto (LAT) v. Big Daddy (GER/POL) v. TC Carroll (MUTT) v. Billy Styles (XANT) v. Skull (XANT)
Winner: HawkEye (JAPAN)
Notes: It's the Colonel Division's turn to rumble it out in a chaotic 10-man battle to represent their piece of land in this world. Xantland will have two representatives in Billy and Skull, while the rest of the world will fight to get noticed tonight.
