You are mistaken, Harold. NIN did Hurt in 1999 and Johnny Cash covered it in 2005. It's okay, a lot of people have made that mistake.

According to Wikipedia, Hurt was covered by Cash in '02. But the recording wasn't released until months after his death in late '03. NIN originally released it in '94. So you're right, but I had to correct the timeline. On a personal note, I had to find out the truth for certain because I have a Cash fan peering over one shoulder and a Reznor fan resting her head on the other... So it shut them both up in the process.

Cash died that long ago? It doesn't seem like that long ago. Hm...
Well, I must've been thinking about another song, then. Karma to you for giving enough of a crap to find that out.

Why the hell is that song in first? Linkin Park has no talent and that song stole the fucking riff from "N.W.O." by Ministry.

Yup, but they've been releasing a lot of stuff that just never made previous albums since he died. Almost like he is still in the studio... They're doing the same with Kurt Cobain. You Know You're Right was probably recorded around '93 but wasn't released as a legit recording until '02... In case anyone cared about that near ironic relationship.
