Zantazm is seen walking down a corridor backstage. He reaches a door that has Vladimir Strife's name inscribed on a small metal platelet. He ponders for a second before knocking. He raps on the door. No one answers or says a word from the other side of the door. Zantazm raps the door again, this time asking if anyone is there. A few seconds later, the door opens and Vlad stands staring at Zantazm.
"Hello boss, are you here for that meeting you were taking about at the bar?"
"Yes, how are you doing, Vlad?"
"I'm good, come in and sit wherever."
Vlad turns and walks back into the lockerroom. Zantazm follows as he takes the whole room in. There are posters hanging from the walls and a couch with a few chairs around a coffee table. On the coffee table is a stack or wrestling magazines and an open bottle of Killians. A few bottlecaps are scattered as well. An old TV is propped in the corner on a makeshift desk. Zantazm sits down on one of the chairs as Vlad plops down on the couch.
"Well, Vlad, I know you're a man who likes to cut to the chase, so I won't waste your time with small talk. I came here to give you a proposal."
Vlad takes a sip of the opened bottle of Killians. His facial expression has not changed from the moment he opened the locker room door.
"Sure, boss. What's this proposal you're talking about?"
Zantazm stands up and looks over at the TV.
"Mind if I turn on Wednesday Night Genesis?"
"Sure, go right ahead."
Zantazm walks over to the TV and hits the power button. Without having to change the channel, Genesis appears. The triple threat hardcore games match featuring Gnarfflinger, Brett Steel and Matthew Oliveira is on.
"Well what do you know, good old Matt is kicking some ass as we speak. He's got a lot of raw talent. He could learn alot more if he had someone who loved hardcore as much as he does."
Vlad stares at the TV in a hypnotic way, watching the action unfold on the screen without saying a word. Not sure if he's listening, Zantazm then bluntly blurts out,
"So I was wondering if you wanted to join forces with Matt and me?"
Vlad doesn't blink an eye as he's glued to the triple threat match. Zantazm wonders if Vlad has heard a single thing he's said.
