GHW all-around microphone jockey stands outside the arena, due to the broadcast takeover and the man he's about to interview, the opted plan to move off-site was taken.
Coors: "Hello GHW, this is none other than Charlie Coors reporting for duty here today. I have a man with me whom needs no introduction to the fans, whose been revolving around power conflicts and heated grounds with the Bulldogs, the Hardcore Genius, Matthew Oliveira."
Oliveira strides into frame as the camera zooms back slightly, his hair caught between curls and waves as it fades into his leather jacket. He gives Charlie a strong handshake, both with a smile, as Coors continues.
Coors: "Now, it's been a while since we've seen you on weekday camera when it's not in the ring. How have you been doing?"
Matt: "...so much ado about nothing, Charlie. Overall I feel fine about it. Care to narrow it down?"
"Well, what are your thoughts on singles competition? Do you feel overwhelmed and overcome by the others in the ring?"
Matt: "It's ironic, really...I spend so much time signing and improving these guys on Surge that by the time their my opponents, I basically can't get the win. Am I frustrated? Not a bit. See, this is the guy whom the fans voted in earlier in the year, and took Skull to his very LIMITS. Everyone saw what I have the ability to do, and I believe if I've made a name for myself in defeat, well, I've beaten the system. I don't need the titles, nor the rings, nor the trophies. Everyone knows 'Matthew Oliveira' and I strongly believe it'll stay that way."
Charlie nods in agreement, Matt turns his head slightly with his eyes fixating randomly upon the floor a few paces in front of him.
CC: "You seem very prideful...how about your tag team tangents with Striker and with Harold?"
MO: "Impeccable. Striker and I have had our run-ins with the competition, but heck, we just defeated the Gold Tag Team Champions in our last match. I strongly believe that ReVamped, with the Original Gangsters, will be able to solidify the prime tag division and keep it out of the boss's hands. As for Harold and I, it never gets old. I love the team, I love the pretzels, I love the fights. We've been able to secure a finals position against the Natural Disasters and I have high hopes for a nice little tag title opportunity."
CC: "About that match, what are your thoughts on the Ultraviolent Tag?"
Matt rolls his bottom lip slightly, a small furrow in his brow to detect a more serious tone.
MO: "The Ultraviolent Tag...it could be the most violent spectacle I've ever been in. And this is a guy who's been in two Deathmatches, two Houses of Horrors, and countless Hardcore matches. I slightly regret what I've dragged Harold into, but he's a good sport. As for Malcri and Terremoto, I've worked in this business with them for over a year, but when it comes to the ring, I have a HUGE score to settle with them. It's merely professional."
CC: "Finally, about scores, as you were saying. One unsettled conflict concerning you is Travis Truth. This is a man who nearly ended his career -and his life- just to defeat you. With your in-ring scorn and his greed to triumph and prove himself, it will be a very close match in a Last Man Standing environment at Red, White and Bruised. What are your thoughts, can you confirm such a match, and what is your take on Travis?"
Matt's head shakes slightly, not of refusal but of regret. He takes his hands and retreats them to the pockets of his jacket, deciding to answer.
MO: "It's a tough situation. Everyone at Tried and Convicted, and those who watched, saw a very, very serious incident. Travis has that rebellious attitude in him that I've seen in many, many competitors. That reckless mindset. That ability to shut off parts of your brain telling you no, or telling you to take flight rather than fight. Travis deems it's not over, that's fine with me. If he needs to learn the lesson of his abilities and their lengths, that is fine. I will help Truth but that's as far as I'm willing to go. Can I confirm it? I have no idea, but come Red, White, and Bruised...if I'm in such a match, I'm up for it. I still think Travis is lost, that he needs to find where he stands with his counterparts. No doubt I respect Travis but he STILL is my opponent."
CC: "So...do you have anything to say to him currently?"
Oliveira nods, turning into the camera as the microphone is raised to his lips. He flicks away some of his hair so that his eyes meet the viewers, inhaling through his nose as he finds his words.
MO: "Travis Truth...I accept. But come Red, White and Bruised, whether or not you are one-hundred percent, you're fighting ME. I've been injured before, I helped you out of that ring, but come the pay-per-view...come next Sunday...I will go as far as I have to go to assure that I AM the Last Man Standing and nothing more. So to keep an eye on things, I strongly invite you to a contract signing -just to keep my word and that I'm not held responsible for any percussions from that match concerning your health. You want it, you got it, because that may be the Truth...but I know I'm right."
Matt leaves the camera range and begins strolling off, mind mulling over the youthy Bulldog and the things surrounding. Charlie steps lightly into frame to close out the interview.
CC: "For GHW, I'm Charlie Coors, see ya next time."
