Monday Night Combat (6/30/08): Open up the Tool Box
LIEUTENANT
1. Jack of All Trades
Bud Whiser v. Rated R Golden Star (Table-docs)
Winner: Bud Whiser
Notes: Bud advanced after his opponent, Tito Ortiz, decided not to show up last week. Bud's cool with that though, but he better not underestimate Rated R Golden Star.
2. Jack of All Trades
Ultimate Gene v. Perfect Combination (Table-docs)
Winner: Ultimate Gene
Notes: Ultimate Gene got to rest last week in the first round, but now he better bring his best table skills tonight against Perfect Combination.
CAPTAIN
1. Jack of All Trades
Harold the Pretzel Man v. Samoa Machine (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Samoa Machine
Notes: Harold gets a second chance from heaven, after The Killer Animal defeated him last week and then decided to go on a hiatus. Can Harold make good out of this opportunity, or will one of GHW's newest sensations, Samoa Machine, wreck his gift?
2. Jack of All Trades
ForSakeN v. The Impacter (Ladder-docs)
Winner: The Impacter
Notes: The Impacter gets to the second round after his opponent got hold feet and wasn't sure he was able to fight in GHW. Impacter better be careful though, as his opponent is one who WILL show up and WILL deliver pain.
3. Jack of All Trades
Cyclone v. Dakota Manuel (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Dakota Manuel
Notes: Dakota Manuel was defeated by the returning Stiff Neck last week, but then Stiff Neck failed a drug test that disqualified him. Now Dakota moves on, but has to face the streaking-hot Cyclone.
4. Jack of All Trades
HaydenHardkore v. Chad J0hns0n (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Chad J0hns0n
Notes: Chad will take his wins any way he can get them, but he's known for earning them. Last week his opponent no-showed, putting him in a second round matchup against the always unorthodox, Grammar Fairy.
5. Jack of All Trades
JH777 v. Angelus (Ladder-docs)
Winner: JH777
Notes: Much is not known about Angelus, but he did have an impressive debut match against Typhoon last week in round 1 action. Tonight he takes on last month's Captain Master of the Mat, JH777.
COLONEL
1. Jack of All Trades
Will Powers v. NightMare (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Will Powers
Notes: Will Powers vacated the Captain Title last week after having been one of the most solid Captain Champions in GHW history. Now he embarks on a new Title hunt in the Colonel Division, and his first stop was a BYE in round 1. His second stop is a date with either Muhammad Hassan or NightMare.
2. Jack of All Trades
Shocker v. Terremoto (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Shocker
Notes: Shocker didn't break much of a sweat defeating Malcriado Beast last week in round 1 JOAT competition, but now he may end up facing MB's tag team and stable partner, Terremoto. If not Big T, then he will take on Red X.
3. Jack of All Trades
Dark Lord v. Luther (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Luther
Notes: Dark Lord awaits the winner of Matt O and Luther in the second round. DL looked great against War Child, but now he had to show off his ladder skills if he expects to get further in the Tournament.
4. Jack of All Trades
HawkEye v. Psycho Savage (Ladder-docs)
Winner: HawkEye
Notes: HawkEye finally won a difficult match and may be up to his old ways again. After getting past Jake Steele last week, Hawk now has to defeat Psycho Savage, who leaped past frog man.
5. Jack of All Trades
Big Closet v. Genesis 1 (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Genesis 1 by default
Notes: Big Closet will try to avenge his stablemate's loss to Genesis last week. CH will most likely be watching and rooting hard for Big C, but the Bulldogs won't be far away either.
GENERAL
1. The Masterpiece 3 v. Black Dead (Single-docs)
Winner: Black Dead
Notes: Black Dead demanded a singles match this week, and Brian gladly interrupted and accepted the challenge with a hammerlock. Can BD get some revenge?
2. Jack of All Trades
Eric The Torture v. Pennylane (Table-docs)
Winner: Pennylane
Notes: Stablemates, tag team partners, and friends....all of this will be put aside as Penny and Eric battle to try to reach the Jack of All Trades Semi-Finals.
3. Jack of All Trades
Joao Gomes v. Rock II (Table-docs)
Winner: Joao Gomes
Notes: With his cousin getting the BYE this week, Joao Gomes will try to advance to the semis with him if he can defeat Rock II in a ladder match. Rock II is known for being a ladder-specialist.
4. Jack of All Trades
y2000j v. Dyna Mike Duncan (Table-docs)
Winner: Dyna Mike Duncan
Notes: y2000j may be rested up from a round 1 BYE, but that doesn't matter when he takes on the always-ready Dyna Mike Duncan. The leader of the Bulldogs easily defeated YOUNG GANGSTA last week, and he will most likely do the same tonight.
TAG TEAM
1. Jack of All Trades (Tornado Tag-Single IDs)
Forsaken Duece v. Harold and Kumar (docs)
Winner: Harold and Kumar by default
Notes: Harold and Kumar won another match? Sadly, the answer is yes, but don't worry, the flukes end there. Tonight they take on the veteran team, Forsaken Duece, and it will be a tornado tag with everyone in the ring at the same time.
2. Jack of All Trades (Hardcore Tag)
The X Perience v. Cousins of Destruction (1-1-1)
Winner: The X Perience
Notes: The X Perience have been waiting for their rematch against Cousins of Destruction and the wait is over. It's time to drop a hardcore ass-kicking on the latinos and end their run for the Gold Tag Titles.
3. Jack of All Trades (Tornado Tag-Single IDs)
Natural Disasters v. Bulldog Savages (docs)
Winner: Natural Disasters
Notes: Tonight's tornado tag match is an elimination style match where the last man standing will win it for his team. The Bulldogs would love nothing more than to win the Silver Tag Team Titles back at Red, White and Bruised in their homeland, the UK.
