Friday Night Mayhem (7/4/08): Let Freedom Ring
BULLDOGS TAKE OVER THE BROADCAST!
LIEUTENANT
1. Tito Ortiz v. Huck Wade (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Tito Ortiz
Notes: Huck Wade debuts on the main roster as he faces the hard-hitting Tito Ortiz in a ladder match. Huck had a run-in with Tito in the past, and his only loss comes at his hands. Can Huck make a main roster splash and get revenge on Tito?
2. RhinoMan v. Dimebag Darrell (Cage-docs)
Winner by DQ: Dimebag Darrell
Notes: Rhino got a huge upset victory over Master of the Mat, Shane Williams last week in Jack of All Trades, and this week he received a BYE. He won't go without action though as he takes on Jeff in a Cage.
3. Rated R Legend Killer v. The Ultimate Kid (Single-docs)
Winner: Rated R Legend Killer
Notes: Shane Williams is not happy with what happened last week in the Jack of All Trades Tournament. He was shockingly ousted by RhinoMan in a ladder match. He has now demanded to face the Jack of All Trades winner at Red, White and Bruised, but I have yet to reply. My decision is forthcoming, but Shane better have a good fight against Ultimate Kid if he thinks I'll grant him anything.
CAPTAIN
1. Swanton john v. Duece (Single-docs)
Winner: Swanton john by default
Notes: Swanton didn't last very long in Jack of All Trades, but he is a Superstar that may eventually break out in the near future. In the meantime, he will take on Duece in a singles match.
2. Aewyre v. Angelus (Cage-docs)
Winner: Angelus
Notes: Aewyre was thrown off his game against the Grammar Fairy in Jack of All Trades, and like his tag team partner, is not having a great month. He'll try to turn his luck around when he takes on Angelus, who is quickly making a name for himself in GHW.
COLONEL
1. Triple Threat
Truco v. Red X v. RJ Wild (docs)
Winner: Truco
Notes: RJ Wild will be in his first Colonel division match after promoting from the Captain Division recently. He lost in his first round Jack of All Trades match, but is looking for a new beginning. His opponents are also first round JOAT losers, so they will be looking to grab a victory at any cost.
2. ValKyrie KD v. Malcriado Beast (Table-docs)
Winner: ValKyrie KD
Notes: Kelly Duncan was not in this month's Jack of All Trades Tournament, but that doesn't mean she can't kick some Colonel Division ass. Tonight she will represent the Bulldogs when she takes on the Latino Heat member, Malcriado Beast. With an impending stable battle coming at Red, White and Bruised, Kelly will look to bruise MB's ego and send an early message.
3. Matthew Oliveira v. Sergei Kravinoff (Single-docs)
Winner: Sergei Kravinoff
Notes: It's no surprise that Matt couldn't get out of JOAT round 1 action with a win, but it is a surprise that Muhammad Hassan lost. Watch for Mr. Hassan to release his frustration and anger on the victory-challenged SNS GM.
4. War Child v. Backyard Brawler 2 (Ladder-docs)
Winner: War Child
Notes: War Child battled against Dark Lord last week in JOAT action and came up empty-handed. Tonight he will face Backyard Brawler in a ladder match in what should be an interesting matchup.
5. frog man v. Muhammad Hassan (Table-docs)
Winner: Muhammad Hassan
Notes: Both frog man and Jake Steele ran into hard-luck last week in the JOAT Tournament. Tonight one of them will continue his losing ways, while the other turns a new leaf and gets back into gear. Which route will each of these Superstars take?
6. Non-Title Grudge Match
Big Daddy v. CHARISMATIC HARDY (Cage-docs)
Winner: Big Daddy
Notes: CH heartlessly attacked Big Daddy last week after his match, and this week he will pay. The Colonel Champ had a small discussion with me, and not only has he joined The X Forces, but he is going to get his revenge on CH in a cage match. With nowhere to run, CH is a sitting duck, who is about to be fried.
GENERAL
1. Slim Shady v. Gnarfflinger (Cage-docs)
Winner: Slim Shady
Notes: Slim Shady and Gnarff both fell in first round of JOAT, but they can both know that they fell to very difficult opponents. Tonight they will face each other in a cage, as Slim is looking for his first General Division win.
2. Martin Prince v. YOUNG GANGSTA (Ladder-docs)
Winner: YOUNG GANGSTA
Notes: Neither Martin nor YG are going to be in the big dance for the General Title at Red, White and Bruised, but that doesn't mean we can't watch them beat each other up with a few ladders tonight. Both of these Superstars didn't help Crimson out by losing in JOAT, but that's fine with me and the Bulldogs.
3. Non-Title Match
Luke Kinkade v. StrikerLT (LMS-docs)
Winner: Luke Kinkade
Notes: Luke suffered a fluke loss last week, but the good news is that he's facing StrikerLT in a LMS match. For those of you who don't remember, Luke destroyed Striker at Tried and Convicted, and if this match is anything like that one, The X Forces and their General Champ are in for a good night.
TAG TEAM
1. Debut Match
Sevenfold Riot v. Allaryian Warriors (docs)
Winner: Allaryian Warriors
Notes: Sevenfold Riot make their tag team debut tonight when they take on the Allaryian Warriors. The Allaryian Warriors made a quick first round departure at the hands of Harold and Kumar. It doesn't get any worse than that, so expect a rebound tonight.
2. Non-Title Match
Skull & Crossbones v. ReVamped (docs)
Winner: ReVamped
Notes: Skull and Crossbones get back into action tonight when they fight ReVamped in a Non-Title matchup. Eric and Penny better enjoy their time with the Gold Tag Team Titles, because after JOAT is over, they will no longer be the champs at Red, White and Bruised.
3. HD Ultimate v. 85th Vertical (docs)
Winner: HD Ultimate
Notes: HD Ultimate take on 85th Vertical in a classic tag match that should entertain. Neither team came out successful in the JOAT Tournament last week, but their futures remain bright.
4. #1 Contender for Bronze Tag Team Titles
Sour Apples v. Cyco Dragons (docs)
Winner: Sour Apples
Notes: Sour Apples defeated GWH Powerhouse and Cyco Dragons defeated The Pain Killers to get this huge opportunity tonight against each other. The winner will become the #1 contenders for the Bronze Tag Team Titles and face the current Champions next week on Mayhem. Could we be looking at future champs in action tonight?
