The show comes back on air, half-way through the Tuesday Night Triumph card. 96 Quite Bitter Beings is playing loud and proud around the arena, and Hayden is in the process of entering the ring. Forgoing his usual wrestling attire, Hayden is dressed sharply, in a black shirt, with a light grey suit jacket and matching pants. On his feet, well polished black shoes glint in the lights. He enters the ring, his King of the Deathmatch championship strapped across his shoulder, and tips his Aviator sunglasses onto the top of his head, to show his eyes.
Malibu:
Well Hayden HardKore has a big Triple Threat match later on tonight, just days away from Code Blue, and I believe he is out here to talk business. Gotta love a man who can talk the talk.
Weasel:
And the business here is Code Blue, in particular, what match type he has chosen to fight Samoa Joe in for the Champion versus Champion match.
He wastes little time getting to the point, raising the mike to his mouth. He barks his voice down the mike, letting all know that he does not wish to waste his precious time. The fans quell themselves to listen to what rthe future Hall-of-Famer has to say.
Hayden HardKore:
By the process of elimination, I once again find myself on the top of the heap. Samoa Joe did not even bother showing up last week, call it what you will, but he might have gotten cold feet going into Code Blue and is starting to regret our little arangement.
Joe, I hope you're making the most of everymoment as champion, because in four Days, at Code Blue, it comes home to daddy, to keep my other shoulder warm. And there is no way in hell you are winning my title, so get that out of your head right now!
Hayden paces aroundthe ring, ajusting the KOTDM title on his shoulder before he continues his little speech.
Hayden HardKore:
Enough trash talk, I let my actions speak for me. Onto business. Now, as the technical winner of last week's anticlimax of a non-event, I have the pleasure of choosing the match type we will be fighting in. And it is a hard choice, let me tell you. So many ways to inflict pain, I have had to think of the most satisfying.
Think about this...
We need a match that encompasses the technical abilities of a New Age Champion along with the ruthless, death defying madness of the King of the Deathmatch Championship. Anything else woiuld be less than satisfactory. And when I beat you for your title, Samoa Joe, I want there to be no stone left unturned. You see, I don't want you to be able to blame the match type suiting myself more for me winning, so I have chosen one that suits you as much as it does me.
Plus, it is always so much more satisfying beating a man at his own game. You think you are the top of the business? You think you are the Be all and End all, you have forgotten one more person, me. I AM GHW. I AM this business, I have done it all. And I will have to prove that to you again, will I?
With that said, let me paint you a picture. It is a match that requires next to no rules. No countouts, falls count anywhere, all weapons legal and encouraged. A regular old HardKore match, with a twist. You want to choke me out, you want to make me tap, well, you better bring your "A-Game" buddy, because the only way to win is through submission. No pinfalls, no DQs. Only submission.
You see, this way, I can listen to the pain in your voice as you finally reach the threshold of pain and break through it. I want to hear you cry as you tap out to the legend of GHW. Trouble is, push you too far and I might knock you out completely... If you can't tap out, I can't win the match. Its a game of balance, keeping you within an inch of consciousness.
What do you say Samoa Joe?
The match is a HardKore Submission match. A bit of you, a bit of me, all wrapped into one fine package.
Hayden smiles as he lowers the mike again, letting the announcement sink in to the fans around the arena. A cheer of anticipation begins to scatter around the place as Hayden's words hit home. Somewhere, he knows, Samoa Joe is listening. Wanting to leave a lasting impression of his speech, Hayden raises the mike on final time.
Hayden HardKore:
Joe... To use a catch-phrase I have not used in a very long time. This match encompasses everything I believe in. You want me? Come Get me?
"Any time, any where, any how... I am waiting"
Hayden drops his arm to his side, his final sentence ringing out around the arena, achoing around as the fans catch his words once more. Hayden looks like he has finished and begins to head back to the backstage area, presumably to get ready for his upcoming Triple Threat Match.
