Friday Night Mayhem (10/3/08): Oktober-Slug-Fest
LIEUTENANT
1. ForSakeN v. RhinoMan (Ladder-docs)
Winner: ForSakeN
Notes: RhinoMan unfortunately didn't get to fight on Monday because his opponent never showed up. I've decided that since Mr. Money in the Bank won't shut up his mouth, I'll have ForSakeN do it for me.
2. Non-Title Match
Ultimate Gene v. Tito Ortiz (Cage-docs)
Winner: Tito Ortiz
Notes: The Ultimate Opportunist was too much for Tito Ortiz in the Gauntlet last week, but Tito will try to redeem himself tonight against the Lieutenant Champion, Ultimate Gene. The two will be enclosed in the ring by a steel cage, which is a comfortable atmosphere for the former MMA fighter, Tito.
3. Lieutenant Gauntlet
The Master v. Lunchtime Legend (Single-docs)
Winner: Lunchtime Legend
Notes: The Master Billy Styles took his foul mood out on Rated R Golden Star on Monday and eliminated him from the Gauntlet match. Now, The Master must face the next entrant, who goes by the name of Lunchtime Legend.
CAPTAIN
1. Rated R Legend Killer v. The Heartbreak Kid (Single-docs)
Winner: The Heartbreak Kid by default
Notes: The Heartbreak Kid fell to defeat at the hands of a perfectly toned Dyna Mike Duncan on Combat this week, but he'll get a second chance to redeem himself when he steps in the ring with Shane Williams. Will Shane even show his face?
2. Malcriado Beast v. HaydenHardKore (Table-docs)
Winner: Malcriado Beast
Notes: Malcriado Beast can't be happy with his showing in the LMS Tournament this month, but he'll get to vent his feelings against The Grammar Fairy tonight in a table match. The Grammar Fairy is on BYE from the Tournament, so he'll enjoy keeping his game at a high level.
3. Non-Title Match
Will Powers v. Skull (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Skull
Notes: In an epic battle between two very successful Captain Champions, Will Powers and Skull will lock horns in a ladder match. The fans can argue all day over which of these two was/is the best Captain Champ in GHW history, but maybe the result of tonight's match will help close the case.
COLONEL
1. Euroman v. The Irishman (Cage-docs)
Winner: Euroman
Notes: The Irishman was ousted from the Friend or Foe Tournament on Combat after he and his partner and current Colonel Champ Untamed Beast were defeated by Luther and Kelly Duncan. Tonight The Irishman will try to continue his singles win streak against the always-tough, Euroman.
2. Triple Threat Match
HawkEye v. ValKyrie KD v. Backyard Brawler 2 (docs)
Winner: ValKyrie KD
Notes: It's triple the madness tonight when HawkEye, Kelly Duncan and Backyard Brawler fight in a Colonel Division triple threat match. Hawk and Kelly are coming off huge Friend or Foe Tournament wins on Monday, and now their tag teams will clash next week in the Semi-Finals. They will more than likely try to get a foot up on the other in this match, while BB2 may be able to sneak away with a win.
3. Non-Title Match
Untamed Beast v. Luther (Table-docs)
Winner: Luther
Notes: The Colonel Champion, Untamed Beast, lost in the Friend or Foe Tournament this week, but he hasn't lost his Colonel Title, and that's all that matters. Instead of facing The Irishman at Gods v. Heretics, he will now have to wait and see who can last in the Tournament. Tonight, he takes on one of those remaining participants who may meet him at the PPV, Luther.
GENERAL
1. y2000j v. Black Dead (Single-docs)
Winner: Black Dead
Notes: y2000j takes on Black Dead in a singles match to kick off General Division matches tonight. BD cannot be happy that he and tag partner frog man were eliminated from Friend or Foe on Combat, and may be out looking for blood.
2. Genesis 1 v. I Always Lose (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Genesis 1
Notes: Genesis is always ready to crush in a skull or two, and he'll get his chance to do that with a ladder tonight when he faces I Always Lose.
3. Non-Title Match
Luke Kinkade v. Gnarfflinger (LMS-docs)
Winner: Luke Kinkade
Notes: Luke Kinkade defeated Pennylane last week on Mayhem, and looks to be in good form for his Title defense at Gods v. Heretics. First he must defeat Gnarfflinger in a LMS match tonight and stay healthy to boot.
4. Grudge Match
Eric The Torture v. Pennylane (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Eric The Torture
Notes: Eric and Penny have been very successful as a tag in Friend or Foe so far, but things seem to have hit a brick wall after their victory on Monday. A brutal attack and melee erupted as the two let go of their emotions and released some deep hidden feelings toward each other. Eric was left with some pretty serious injuries so he will have to be removed from the Tournament and Pennylane will be appointed a new opponent in the Semi-Finals next week. Eric, in his stubborn fit, declared that he wants Penny one more time before he goes on the injured list. I've never been a fan of Skull and Crossbones, nor am I one to stop two Superstars from beating each other silly, so the match will go on.
TAG TEAM
1. Debut match
HawkEye N Skull v. Wild Closet (docs)
Winner: Hawkeye N Skull
Notes: HawkEye and Skull made an odd union as a tag team this week as they put their differences aside to strive for one goal: the Gold Tag Team Championships. Skull is desperate in getting revenge over one half of the current Champs, Sergei Kravinoff, and will do anything to do so. Tonight the new duo will get their first taste of tag action together against Wild Closet.
2. ReVamped v. Lost Cause (docs)
Winner: Lost Cause
Notes: Lost Cause has suffered only one loss in their tenure as a tag team in GHW and it was at the hands of the current Champs, Bulldog Savages, at Code Blue. They will look to get back on the winning track when they face ReVamped tonight.
2. Non-Title Match
Sevenfold Riot v. Unleashed Rage (docs)
Winner: Sevenfold Riot
Notes: Sevenfold Riot are still the Silver Tag Team Champs after a nice victory at Code Blue, but they need some real competition if they're gonna ever lose those Titles. Tonight Unleashed Rage will attempt to be that real competition in Non-Title action.
LIEUTENANT
1. ForSakeN v. RhinoMan (Ladder-docs)

2. Non-Title Match
Ultimate Gene v. Tito Ortiz (Cage-docs)
Winner: Tito Ortiz
Notes: The Ultimate Opportunist was too much for Tito Ortiz in the Gauntlet last week, but Tito will try to redeem himself tonight against the Lieutenant Champion, Ultimate Gene. The two will be enclosed in the ring by a steel cage, which is a comfortable atmosphere for the former MMA fighter, Tito.
3. Lieutenant Gauntlet
The Master v. Lunchtime Legend (Single-docs)
