Friday Night Mayhem (12/5/08): No Restrictions
LIEUTENANT
1. Non-Title Match
Marcus Airbourne v. Ultimate Gene (Cage-docs)
Winner: Marcus Airbourne
Notes: Marcus Airbourne is flying high above the Lieutenant Division and that is no surprise. He's the Lt. X-Force Champ and he's not an easy opponent to defeat. Ultimate Gene will learn that once again tonight when he takes on the Champ inside a steel cage.
2. Double Revenge Match
Essa Rios v. Kahlan (LMS-docs)
Winner: Essa Rios
Notes: The Essa Rios/Kahlan feud is at a full boil right now. For those of you unaware of the happenings, Essa defeated Kahlan in her debut two weeks ago in a singles match. Then, Kahlan demanded a rematch in her specialty ladders match last week. Kahlan was victorious, and now Essa wants revenge. He has chosen a LMS match, much to Kahlan's anger. Will Kahlan knock out Essa and put an end to the tension, or will Essa get the win and keep things very tense between the two? Any result may cause huge reprecussions.
3. #1 Contender Match
Destroyer v. trickshot (Single-docs)
Winner: Trickshot
Notes: trickshot came out of nowhere on Monday Night Combat to defeat 5 others in the Survival of the Fittest Rumble. Now he gets his shot to become the interim #1 contender when he faces Destroyer. Destroyer is undefeated so far in GHW, and it doesn't seem likely that trickshot gets lucky twice in one week.
CAPTAIN
1. Malcriado Beast v. HaydenHardKore (Single-docs)
Winner: HaydenHardKore
Notes: Malcriado Beast and The Grammar Fairy are no longer in the Captain Cage Competition, but both of these Fighty fighty persons have something to prove to himself. Tonight we will see power v. finesse in a classic one-on-one.
2. Non-Title Match
Lunchtime Legend v. Tommy Musashi (Table-docs)
Winner: Tommy Musashi
Notes: Lunchtime Legend is eating his opponents alive with much pleasure. He won the Captain X-Force Championship as the underdog at Salvation, but he's looking to prove his worth. Tonight he takes on Tommy Musashi, who still remains in the Cage Competition with the goal of fighting in a Hell in a Cell at Blood Runs Cold.
COLONEL
1. Untamed Beast v. Angelus (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Angelus by default
Notes: Untamed Beast was eliminated from the Colonel Cage Competition after no-showing his match last week on Combat. Tonight we hope he shows up to face Angelus in a ladder match so that the former Champ can get back on the road to getting some gold back around his waist.
2. Best of 3 Singles
RJ Wild v. Matthew Oliveira (Singles-docs)
Winner in 3 Falls: RJ Wild
Notes :RJ Wild and Matthew Oliveira are out of this month's Tournament, but I thought it would be fun to put them in a Best of 3 singles series to see what technical moves they can do on the mat.
3. Non-Title Match
Sergei Kravinoff v. Ben Wallace (Sergei's choice-docs)
Winner: Sergei Kravinoff by default
Notes: Sergei is a very noble X-Force Champion, and I'm extremely proud of his rise to the top. Tonight he will face the jobber, Ben Wallace, in Sergei's choice of match. This should keep his spirits up and his conditioning program on track.
GENERAL
1. Big Closet v. ValKyrie KD (Table-docs)
Winner: ValKyrie KD
Notes: Big Closet faces General newcomer, Kelly Duncan, in a smashingly fun tables match tonight. Kelly is no slouch or pushover, so don't be surprised if the stunningly beautiful Bulldog stands above a motionless Big Closet when it's all said and done.
2. Non-Title Match
Genesis 1 v. I Always Lose (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Genesis 1
Notes: Genesis is fighting like he has never fought before in GHW. His career has taken a huge spike and he currently holds the General X-Force Championship and one half of the Gold Tag Team Championships. He will face I Always Lose in a ladder match tonight.
3. #1 Contender Match
Black Dead v. StrikerLT (Single-docs)
Winner: StrikerLT
Notes: Black Dead is the interim #1 contender in the General Division, but the newest Survival of the Fittest Rumble winner on Combat will try to take that away from him tonight. Is Black Dead ready to go back to Combat and fight in another SOTF Rumble?
TAG TEAM
1. Debut Match
Catastrophic Duo v. Sevenfold Riot (docs)
Winner: Catastrophic Duo
Notes: This debut match has a lot more meaning than any normal tag team debut match. Catastrophic Duo's Big Closet is set on showing Sevenfold Riot's RJ Wild that RJ was the reason that their former tag team, Wild Closet, was so extraordinarily bad. RJ will get together for one time only with Angelus to prove Big Closet wrong, and then RJ will have to find a new partner if he wants to compete again in tag action.
2. Debut Match
Elitist Club v. ReVamped (docs)
Winner: Elitist Club
Notes: Pennylane made an open exclamation to any Superstar to join him in a brand new tag team in the Gold Division. Former tag champion CHARISMATIC HARDY heeded the call and the duo will now form the Elitist Club. Their debut will be tonight against ReVamped.
