Biography (Pre GHW life story):
born on December 27, 1966, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He went to school at the University of Georgia where he was an All-SEC and All-American Nose Guard. He was drafted by the Rams and went to the WLAF where his team the Sacramento Surge won the World Bowl. He was then signed by the Falcons where he played for 3 years before he suffered a torn abdominal muscle. He was drafted by the Panthers in the 95 expansion draft but couldn't play.
Although while living in Atlanta, he crossed paths with many of the superstars of WCW. While working out in a gym co-owned by Sting and Lex Luger, Sting convinced him to go to the WCW Power Plant training facility. His TV debut was on September 22, 1997, where he beat Hugh Morris. On the July 6, 1998, edition of Nitro, he beat Hulk Hogan for the WCW title in a match at the Georgia Dome which was the highest attended WCW event ever.
He would lose the title in December at Starrcade 98 in a match that was also his first loss as a professional Fighty fighty person. He spent the next year feuding with the New World Order. He then started a feud with Bret Hart and during their Starrcade 99 match kicked Bret in the head so hard that Bret suffered a career ending injury.
Shortly after this match, Goldberg performed a stunt involving punching out the windows of a limo. He dropped the metal he had in his hand to break the first few windows and broke the last window bare handed. He suffered a cut that required 190 stitches to close. He was out for six months. When he came back, WCW was near its end and finally folded in the beginning of 2001.
Goldberg made his WWE debut 2 years later. During his off, time he was still being paid by AOL Time Warner and used that time to further his own celebrity. He went on to become WWE champion by beating Triple H. His final match for WWE was at WrestleMania XX in a match the fans booed mercilessly because the fans knew it was the final match for both him and his opponent Brock Lesnar.
Since then Goldberg has appeared in many Hollywood movies and has hosted a national geographic documentary. While being successful in his stint in Hollywood Goldberg expressed in a interview with E! in late 2008 that he had more than once thought about a comeback to professional wrestling in the past and had always laughed it off. "Alot of work goes into the business, The training and workouts amongst other things... Its just not for me anymore... Then going on to say "If i ever regained the urge to compete professionally i'l certainly have a go at it, but i just cant see it happening..."
Soon after Goldberg announced that he had gone into training in an effort to return to the professional wrestling scene once again. He is quoted to have said "One morning i woke up looked in the mirror and it just hit me... The need to compete was back"
While saying that he was still in no way ready and it would take him to at least late January - Feb to make an actual debut he claims "The wheels are in motion Hahaha" Also saying hes not interested in any of WWE's advances saying "I've been there done that..." Goldberg looks to start fresh again with a new organisation.
Rumored to be in talks with GHW many fans have begun to talk about the possibilities, bringing Goldberg themed signs to GHW events and shows. One fan quoted to have said "The possibilities are endless"
Goldberg held a press conference on 4th of January to talk about his comeback. While he gave no real facts he hinted towards a comeback with GHW through the entire thing.
