Monday Night Combat (1/12/09): Laughing Stock
LIEUTENANT
1. Eric The Torture v. YOUNG GANGSTA (LMS-docs)
Winner: Eric The Torture
Notes: YOUNG GANGSTA will get a little taste of my wrath tonight when he faces Eric The Torture in a LMS match followed by a Non-Title match against my loyal X-Force member and current Lieutenant X-Force Champion, Destroyer. Chew on that.
2. Non-title Match
Destroyer v. YOUNG GANGSTA (Single-docs)
Winner: YOUNG GANGSTA
Notes: After YG gets knocked out, he will have a few seconds to figure out what city and arena he's in before Destroyer comes down to the ring and beats it into him.
3. The Champions Tournament
Essa Rios v. Ultimate Gene (LMS-docs)
Winner: Essa Rios
Notes: Essa Rios got a win by no-show last week against Ultimate Gene. Tonight, if Gene doesn't arrive, Essa will get a free pass to face the Lieutenant Champion, The Master, on Friday Night Mayhem.
CAPTAIN
1. Marcus Airbourne v. Lunchtime Legend (Single-docs)
Winner: Lunchtime Legend
Notes: Marcus Airbourne is stealthily moving up in the Captain Division ranks after defeating both current singles champions. Tonight he takes on Lunchtime Legend in a singles match to keep things rolling. Can Double L put a dent in Airbourne's progress?
2. Non-Title Match
Tommy Musashi v. HaydenHardKore (Cage-docs)
Winner: Tommy Musashi by default
Notes: Tommy Musashi gets inside a steel cage with The Grammar Fairy tonight, and that can't be very comforting. The Grammar Fairy's attire alone is enough of a reason to not want to be enclosed in any room with him.
3. Escaping the Gauntlet
ForSakeN v. The Ultimate Kid (Table-docs)
Winner: ForSakeN
Notes: The fans have spoken and they have given The Ultimate Kid a second chance in the Gauntlet. Tonight, UK will face either Tito or ForSakeN, and one of them will go through a table. Can UK capitalize on his second life in the Tournament?
COLONEL
1. Debut Match
The Impacter v. War Child (Single-docs)
Winner: War Child
Notes: The Impacter is back, and he's debuting on Monday Night Combat against War Child. Will his second run in GHW be more successful than his first? Only time will tell in a very tough Colonel Division.
2. Non-Title match
Dyna Mike Duncan v. RJ Wild (Single-docs)
Winner: Dyna Mike Duncan
Notes: DMD is a step ahead of the rest of his competition in the Colonel Division, and it's proven every time he laces up his boots to fight. Tonight he takes on RJ Wild, and I can only feel sorry for how sore RJ will be afterwards. Who will or can step up to face Colonel X-Force Champ DMD at Winter Fury?
3. Escaping the Gauntlet
Euroman v. Luther (Single-docs)
Winner: Luther
Notes: Euroman took out Malcriado Beast on Mayhem and now he has to face off against Luther. This is Luther's big chance to make a big impression in the Division and possibly vie for the vacant Colonel Title at Winter Fury.
GENERAL
1. Non-Title Match
Genesis 1 v. StrikerLT (LMS-docs)
Winner: StrikerLT
Notes: StrikerLT managed to slide into the MITB Rumble at Winter Fury after I Always Lose no-showed their qualifying match last week on Combat. Tonight Striker will wish he's fighting IAL again because Genesis will show up, and Genesis will do harm.
2. Money in the Bank Qualifier
Slim Shady v. ValKyrie KD (Single-docs)
Winner: ValKyrie KD
Notes: Slim Shady and Kelly Duncan will get their chances at qualifying for the MITB Rumble this month when they face each other in a traditional singles match tonight. It's been a while since we've seen Kelly in action, but boy will it be great to welcome her back.
3. Last Laugh Tournament Match
Muhammad Hassan v. Psycho Savage (Table-docs)
Winner: Psycho Savage
Notes: Psycho Savage has looked solid in the Last Laugh Tournament so far this month and after having signed my X-Force Petition sheet, he is on the right track to the top. Now he must throw Jake Steele through a table tonight in order to make it to the Finals.
4. Last Laugh Tournament Match
Black Dead v. Angelus (Ladder-docs)
Winner: Angelus
Notes: Black Dead will meet his challenge and fate tonight when he takes on X-Force Superstar, Angelus. Angelus is on his game, and looking tougher than ever. It's only a matter of time before Black Dead breaks down as he always does. I'm looking forward to seeing an all-X-Force Finale next week.
5. Non-Title Match
Big Daddy v. Gnarfflinger (Single-docs)
Winner: Big Daddy
Notes: Big Daddy will show off some technical skills tonight when he takes on the Butcher in Non-Title action. Big Daddy has proven that he can out-muscle his opponents, and it will be a joy to watch him out-wrestle them in this one.
TAG TEAM
1. Debut Match
MILF and Cookies v. One Machine (docs)
Winner: MILF and Cookies
Notes: An odd duo with an even odder name debut tonight against One Machine. One Machine hasn't been able to solve the Bronze tag Team Champs, Height of Impact, but maybe MILF and Cookies will be able to...that is, if they don't get promoted before that can even happen.
2. Non-Title Match
Havoc v. Bulldog Savages (docs)
Winner: Bulldog Savages
Notes: Havoc has looked great as the Champs this month in Non-Title action, and are starting to win the respect of their peers. All of them except for the Bulldog Savages, that is. The Gold Champs better not get too cocky because this could be their toughest challenge yet.
3. #1 Contender for the Gold Tag Team Championships
Elitist Club v. Catastrophic Duo (docs)
Winner: Catastrophic Duo
Notes: Elitist Club and Catastrophic Duo have worked hard all month to reach this point and only one of them will move on to Winter Fury to face the Champs for the Gold Tag Team Titles. Which of these two duos has what it takes to close out the mini-tournament?
